I've been making computers for practically 13 years, now, and I have to say that Vital stills has what it takes to give amazing efficiency for low cost.Running this memory in Dual Channel, and the efficiency, compared to equivalent RAM of other companies, far exceeds stated company's RAM. None.

Rapid, low-cost, trustworthy, scores 7.4 efficiency in my build's win 7 program ratings for those curious. Slower than some other memory obtainable, but hence the 1066. Runs wonderful in dual channel even with newer revisions of the exact same memory from critical. No issues thus far, and even though I haven't tried to overclock it, I don't actually will need to. I'd very suggest this to any technique builder seeking to save a little bit of funds and nonetheless walk away with a mid-high performance computer.

Rapid and inexpensive. I have four gigs in my rig now, gonna pop 4 more in suitable before W7 comes out. It's not flashy? lol For this cost, though, I wouldn't anticipate to get any heat spreaders or something. It also comes in that annoying plastic packaging that I usually cut myself on. Cas Latency = 7. Great cost. "Nice retro look" without the fancy stamped on aluminum sawtooth dodads that do absolutely nothing and take up space. Worked perfectly. Hey Essential! Get rid of the awful heavy duty heat-sealed packaging that I had to cut off with metal shears. These are memory sticks. These are not diamond earrings. Really, I'm not going to steal them from Newegg. Works with Ubuntu (of course.) If you are using 64-bit Linux don't run out and acquire a lot more than four gigs of memory. This is not Microsoft and the memory management really functions. So, unless you are developing a super-pc for use at NOAA or NSA, there will most likely never be a time that you use something close to all of 4 Gigs. Use your funds for one thing that in fact gets employed. Perhaps a nice bunch of flowers for your mother would be a good option.

No Heat-Spreaders; limited OC-ability DIY builders, or any person upgrading should be conscious that 32bit Windows (all versions) will only recognize three(.two)gb of the 4gb accessible. Coupled this with a msi g41m mobo and and a low end 775 q6600 cpu, and wow, runs as good as my asus rampage running ddr 2 800 and a q9550 cpu, maybe far better. none essential is always a solid bet, I have never had a stick of vital fail.

This memory stick snaps into the slot and then you never have to feel about it once again. How am I going to maintain my high tech knowledge rating if I never have to feel about how the memory works? I replaced 4 gigs of OCZ memory with four gigs of this Essential memory. All of my spontaneously rebooting and laptop or computer freezing problems went away. I never had to visit a support forum, I never had to deal with customer support. I'm by no means getting the shiny memory sticks ever again.
