Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:None yet

Pros:This drive has been running very well my computer boots so fast I look at my other computer and its not even at the windows logo and I'm loading a game.
Comment:
Extremely fast it transfers very fast but anything other than ssd to ssd transfer will never make it use its full speed.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:none really

Pros:Priceerror freeQuick
Comment:
Install went smooth.Installed on a board that only supports SataII, but still a vast improvement over my previous setup (2x Raptors in Raid 0)Windows boots much faster, things are just much more responsive. Not the fastest SSD on the market (according to benchmark software anyway) But I heard great things about its reliability, which is a plus for me.I doubt the average user would notice any speed difference in real world performance from one drive to the next, comparing similar drives.I would buy again.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Price?

Pros:Crucial qualityGreat firmware update  support
Comment:
Been using SSD's since they first came out and could never go back to living without them. They are a must have for any computer.Purchased this to add into Asus G75 as the main boot drive. Works great, clean install, already at latest firmware.Speeds are great, especially for the price. SSD's keep getting cheaper and now are less than $1 per GB.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:I don't think there are any cons to these Crucial drives. I love them!

Pros:Awesome sale price on this top quality solid state drive.
Comment:
I've already purchased some smaller M4 drives and was very pleased with the performance. They have also been trouble free. Now that the prices have dropped I can afford this bigger drive. I hope this trend continues.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Can't think of any

Pros:Quick n speedy.
Comment:
The random reads on these are quite high. It's pretty rare for computers to do sequential reads. It's much more likely they will be doing random. That's where these drives excel.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Advertised size is not what you will get.

Pros:No brainer to installBlazing fast!!
Comment:
I installed this in a laptop that had a 500GB HD, but the total data size fit easily on the Crucial 256GB SSD. There is annoying tendency with SSD manufacturers to not advertise the actual available disk size to you. This drive will actually have about 238GB of space for you so be warned. The end result is blazing fast boot ups! From the moment the machine reads from the disk, boot up is about 10-15 seconds. Extremely handy when I bring the laptop into meetings. The machine is very much responsive as a result of the SSD and there's barely any waiting for applications. Not to mention the increase in battery life.Totally worth the money for me.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:- not the fastest

Pros:- reliable- firmware updates
Comment:
Bought this to replace my OCZ SSD which just suddenly died with little warning. As this is my main drive, I went with something that many people consider more reliable which is this one. While it is not the fastest of the bunch, the computer is just as zippy as the OCZ one. I don't notice any slow down when opening+running apps. I should of gotten a 512GB with the prices of SSD now.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:- not the fastest out there

Pros:- Reliable- Company provides firmware updates as needed
Comment:
I bought a 128GB M4 last year, for my laptop, and love it.I purchased this 256GB SSD, this year, for less then I got the 128 GB for (gotta love technology and how fast it changes). I got this drive on a special weekend sale for $184 and consider that an awesome deal for a quality drive. Crucial released multiple firmware updates for the M4 between last year and this year... nice to see a company actively fixing any issues it becomes aware of. This 256GB came with the latest firmware already installed (another bonus and it shows that these aren't collecting dust at NCIX).It's not the fastest SSD but honestly I can't tell the difference. This one gets a 5 star from me =)

I got two of these and put them in RAID 0. Windows boots in under 10 seconds. I love having the large capacity for my C drive now after upgrading from a single 120GB SSD.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:None so far, hope it keeps up

Pros:It works like it should
Comment:
I've been seriously considering upgrading my system drive to an SSD for a long time but the high prices and failure rates kept me away. I finally bit the bullet and grabbed this on sale. It's big enough to hold my entire 190GB system drive with plenty of room to spare.I successfully transferred my 1TB drive to the SSD and Windows 7 took care of the alignment. No need to reinstall Windows or any of my software. Everything just works if you do it right. My system boots up in just seconds. All my Adobe CS5.5 apps load up in seconds. It's amazing how much faster this SSD is, it makes my SATA3 WD Caviar Black drives look like floppy disks.Just be sure to keep a system backup, SSDs are nowhere near as reliable as mechanical drives.

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Firmware upgrade 0309 on the older... You can do a firmware upgrade directly with a bootable CD but you need to reformat and reinstall for overall stability :-(

Pros:Incredible speed!!!
Comment:
Incredibly fast! I have two of them, one in my Toshiba i7 laptop and one in my Asus i7 laptop. I tested OCZ Vertex 2, the Vertex 3 (240 go), the Mushkin Chronos, the Kingston SSDNow V200+ Series... but I must tell that the Crucial M4 256 gb is the BEST! :-)

Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:none

Pros:Easy to installVery fastHas had very good reviews
Comment:
I bought this drive after reading several reviews about it. There are faster SSDs but this one seems a good combination of speed AND reliability which was important to me. Am enjoying gaming with it as maps and such load much quicker. I used to have a Velociraptor in my previous PC and this thing blows it away for speed as you would expect from an SSD.I also thought this SSD was one of the better ones in regards to price vs capacity. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
