Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6GBPS
Cons: - Needs to be installed on SATA3 6Gbps to reach its full performance- Some users have reported freezes with firmware 0006 (a solution is available on Crucial forum)- No accessories (mounting kit, cable) provided

Pros: - Solid performance- SATA3 6Gbps- Newer stock comes with firmware 0006
Comment:
The C300 is a great drive, even when compared to newer SSDs. It's fast, silent, and if problems arise, Crucial offers good warranty support. Some users have reported freezes with the latest firmware (0006), but it can apparently be corrected by disabling LPM (search for "Solution: C300 Disk Freeze-ups in Windows 7 solved for me" on the Crucial SSD forum).

Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6GBPS
Cons: - 3 year warranty (Wish it had a 5 year warranty like most performance HDDs)

Pros: - Soooooo fast !- Lightweight (might be a good point for a notebook)- SATA3 6Gbps interface
Comment:
What surprised me first was the lightness of this drive : at first I thought the box was empty !This thing is so fast, every apps boot so fast ! As soon as Windows 7 start loading after POST I'm on the desktop in like 5 secs. And in every review I read on SSDs (i.e. tomshardware.com) they recommend this drive as the best all-around for performance ... easy choice !

Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6GBPS
Cons: - firmware headaches- stuttering

Pros: - FAST- zero noise- SATA3
Comment:
I bought this drive primarily for the SATA3 speed. Been reading that the latest firmware will cause the drive to stutter alot. I'm still on the old 0002 firmware and haven't really experience the stuttering. I have noticed the great speed with the drive though. I'm happy overall but I would happier if Crucial put out a good firmware!

Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6GBPS
Cons: Didn't some with a 2.5 to 3.5 mount, factor in you'll need to buy one less you are creative or your case supports the 2.5 size.

Pros: Very fast drive, I use it as my OS drive as a stand alone. 128gig's is just fine if you know how to manage your data.
Comment:
Please Note: I've seen posts about having to update  the firmware. 0001 to 0002 is a pain. As posted, you have to low level your drive. (delete  all content in the process).I bought my drive a few months back and it was the 0002 model. I don't think they have any 0001, however before you take it out of the store, I'd save yourself a lot of problems at be sure it's at least the 0002. (it should be).I'm going to do the 0006 firmware tonight, for no other reason then to try it... I know, not very smart but it seems to be worth it and I don't mind the risk. Here are the 0006 Release notes: 0002 to 0006 ONLY (There is no 0003,0004,0005) and you need to be at 0002 before you can do this update !Release Date: 11/16/2010Change Log: Improved power management Improved power-up behavior after uncontrolled power-down Improved full drive and corner-case performance Improved TRIM behaviorNote: This is firmware from Revision 0002 to Revision 0006. It will not work for updating between any other versions. If your drive has Revision 0001 firmware, then you MUST first perform the intermediate step of updating to Revision 0002.

Cons: None so far

Pros: Speed, Speed, Speed
Comment:
I bought this SSD for my 3 year old HP laptop (Core 2 Duo T7500) that was suffering under my multi-tasking. Everything old is new again. This Drive is crazy fast! Photoshop opens in 4 seconds and I'm not using SATA3 I have compared this Drive with a stand alone 320Gb 7200rpm,and a Dual 640mb 7200 RAID 0 using ChrsytalDiskMark 3.0 and the numbers are staggering:Sequential Read/Write Test (Block Size = 1024KB) Stand Alone - 66mb/s Read 63Mb/s WriteRAID 0 - 154mb/s Read 138Mb/s WriteSSD - 263mb/s Read 114Mb/s WriteRandom Read/Write Test (Block Size = 4KB) Stand Alone - 0.36mb/s Read 0.74Mb/s WriteRAID 0 - 0.44mb/s Read 1.78Mb/s WriteSSD - 19mb/s Read 25Mb/s Write

Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6GBPS
Cons: Firmware update  is painful - Flashing to newest firmware requires low-level format so you lose all data. Flashing process requires drive be connected to first port of SATA controller and will not work with 6Gb/s controller, so lots of swapping cables. (edit) To be clear; it will work at 6Gb/s AFTER the flash.

Pros: Very fast reads (~345 MB/s in my system) ~120 MB/s writes.
Comment:
I almost had to take off 1 star because of the ridiculously stringent requirements for updating the firmware.Although I have had difficulty getting the most out of the drive, my problems were with the on-board 6GB/s SATA controller and cannot be attributed in any way to the drive. It turns out that both of the on-board controllers on my motherboard are only able to use 1 pci-e lane of bandwidth (maximum throughput of 500 MB/s), and the marvel turned out to be absolutely horrendous when used to configure a striped raid 0 array (performance was worse than a single drive) while the Intel ICH10 SATA 3Gb/s controller is at least able to saturate the full 500 MB/s available to it with 2 drives in a raid 0 configuration.I recommend a hardware RAID add-on card like this: http://www.intel.com/Assets/PDF/prodbrief/323425.pdfif you plan on striping multiple drives. 8 lanes should give you up to 4000 MB/s which is more than enough to handle 4 of these :) This review was modfied by poster @ 11-19-10 11:42 AM

Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6GBPS
Cons: No 2.5" to 3.5" mount provided

Pros: Super speed, easy setup
Comment:
I bought this for a new build, replacing a 10k RPM 300GB VelociRaptor HD as my system drive. I'm running this on a an Asus p6x58d-e motherboard via SATA3 (6Gbps). It's blindingly fast and of course, silent.I read a review somewhere and apparently with most SSD drives the more read/writes performed over time, the slower they get. I'm sure this is a minimal effect but it has caused me to keep my VelociRaptor HD in the system to use as a "working" drive for read/write intensive apps. Plus, 128GB isn't all that large given that Windows 7 x64 installs at about 30GB right out of the box.Highly recommended.
