Great product works as described
Comment:
bought this UPS for my computer hoping it would work good, and it works great, switches from AC power to battery very smoothly. i am running Windows 7 and i couldn't find if Windows 7 was supported by the software that came with this, but when i received it it said right on the box that it would work with Windows 7, and it did flawlessly.

Solid UPS and good value, worth the money.
Comment:
Solid and performs. Am able to support three small footprint desktops on this UPS, still have capacity left, and have the runtime needed to shut them all down cleanly. Rides through the frequent spikes and dips and outages that occur in NW Chicago suburbs.

I'm very happy with this UPS. It switches smoothly to battery power when needed, and easily keeps my computer running. I've owned this UPS for nearly a year, and am planing on getting another.

First battery backup unit I have used. Bought it for my home office. Works great. Have had a couple of power fluctuations during thunderstorms that it handled seamlessly.

Cons:None so far.

Pros:Got it on sale!

I use to have a surge protector but decided to further protect my investments by purchasing this beauty...I've yet to experience any of the issues for the product to do it's job but I'm sure it'll do what it's meant to do.Back Battery (has surge protection) > Surge Protector Bar

Clean and Ample Power
Comment:
The best battery backup unit is one that does the job without you knowing it's there - until the power goes out. This one can handle our TV, surround sound, TIVO, and DVD using 4 out of 5 load bars. It's just right. Had a smaller 650VA that would trip every time you turned on the TV and surround sound too quickly. This one doesn't flinch. During drops in power the unit switches to battery smoothly preventing TIVO reboots.:-)

CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series GreenPower UPS CP1000AVRLCD UPS
Cons:Power button light always on.

Pros:Looks good, beeping when on battery is not too loud, good amount of juice in there, works out of the box with Ubuntu Jaunty.
Comment:
Very nice device. Got it for 130$ on sale here. I live up north (wayyy up north) and we get power outages monthly (at least) so a UPS is a must. I have a few, and all of them except this one beep too loud, wake me up at night when I don't care if the power is out... I mean BEEEEPP!!! This one is shy, I like that. The power light isn't that shy, but good old electric tape once again saves the day. The inverter noise is also very quiet, compared to my other ones. If electric tape didn't exist, I'd give it 4 stars, but it does, so I give it 5. This review was modfied by poster @ 05-07-09 12:32 AM

CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series GreenPower UPS CP1000AVRLCD UPS
Cons:-LED is on all the time

Pros:+Battery backup is as simple as plug it in+USB connection works flawlessly with Ubuntu+LCD displays info such as watts being outputted+3 year warranty
Comment:
There weren't too many reviews aside from the one on the 1500 model (http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=82&Itemid=71), so I was not too sure what to expect. It works great. Plugged it in, powered up my system, no problems. Ubuntu recognized it through the included USB cable without any problems. It sends the proper shutdown commands when the power runs out. What more can you ask?Battery life is a little less than what I was expecting (I will get about 18 minutes with a server/lcd attached+peripherals).
