D-Link ANT24-0700 2.4GHz Omni-Directional 7dBi Indoor Antenna

I bought this D-Link 7dBi antenna for my D-Link DI-524 router. There are good reviews on this thing, but I certainly got no improvement. I have many D-Link products and love D-Link, but this thing didn't work. I actually had a better signal using the standard rubber-duck antenna provided with the router. At first I thought maybe I never had it connected properly. Turns out I did so I called tech support. They basically hummed around and said to return it. These things are meant not for the router or access point, rather for the PCI card (the wireless client). Don't waste your money. Get the D-Link Wireless Range Extender (DWL-G710) as that is one amazing product.

I paired this antenna with D-Link G520 PCI card (instead of the router). The Windows XP machine mostly reporting Poor (only Good on occasion) with the stock antenna. Now the same computer reports Excellent 100% of the time while picking up some fringe Wifi routers at the neighbours. Overall the antenna a very good purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

This is an awesome addition to your wireless network. While it does not create the strongest signal from one end of the home to the other, it definitely gave me access in rooms on the opposite end of the house. Before connecting this antenna, there was NO reception at all in those rooms. This is simple to connect. Just open the package, remove the product, remove the antenna from the back of your wireless router, connect this antenna, and you are done. It is a bit difficult to figure out just where to permanently mount this, but you should not mount it permanently until you try different locations in order to obtain the best possible signal. One note of caution, make sure you use the router's security features. Otherwise your neighbors may ''borrow'' your wireless connection.

I recently installed the Buffalo high power wireless router (WHR-HP-G54) along with the PCI card (WLI2-PCI-G54S) in our church. The system in the sound room wouldn't communicate at all with the router, which is about 50 feet away. I bought the D-Link ANT24-0700 antenna to improve the signal. I thought it might help some, but was I surprised at the performance. My signal increased from 1 bar to a full 5 bars (100%). This signal has to go through 4 walls plus the electrical breaker room as well.I was really impressed with this antenna. As with any vertical antenna it is best to move it around to find the ''sweet spot'' for best performance.

This is a great product and especially a good catch during a sale. This helped my US robotics 125mbps w-router a lot. I now am contemplating on having two on each end (which I don't think will matter). However, I have to say it has increased my signal dramatically. My whole 1200sq ft house has excellent signal everywhere even through many dry walls.

looks great and works well enoughboosted my signal strength 10% so im happy with itmagnetic base is cool could use a longer cord but its more than enough for me

Easy install but the wall screws were too short. Marginal improvement in reception.The antenna has a plastic joint near the base for changing its position. This joint is light and mine cracked the first time I dropped it. Now repaired with electrical tape. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-01-06 07:51 AM

great antenna! The antenna has a detachable base for remote placement from the AP.NCIX should fix the website, so that it shows the right thing though....
