I have four of these in a routing protocol testbed, and another one on a backup file server. All of them perform satisfactorily. Their price is very reasonable, and they have TCP offloading to boot. All of my cards are used under Linux: Redhat 9.x. The driver for these are readliy available, unlike these buildin ethernet ports on mainboards. Recommended if you have trouble bringing up your MB's built-in networking port under Linux.
