I suppose it ran properly from the end of February when I got it till this morning... it WAS cheap. Just gave up the ghost this morning whilst undertaking nothing much more than running 1 tab in 1 window of Chrome at idle in Win 7. Capacitor inside exploded out of the blue- it IS inexpensive. This ran an O/C'd P4 EE and a GTX 275 like no one particular's company, played Cities XL all week extended in highest settings. Not sure why it just died.

Effectively, what time it did last, it powered my Pc and was quieter than my last energy provide. three year warranty that comes with it is ultra great and Diablotek does have fairly great buyer service. Unfortunately, it died and took my other hardware components with it. I purchased the factor on fiveቬ񳏊. Two weeks ago, it blew a fuse, gave off the burning smell of death. I just got my warranty replacement in currently, plugged it up and Nothing in my pc is working. If your pc is the most significant possession you have, don't put low-cost power supplies in it. Go for Antec instead.

It boots up out of the box fine. This is the replacement that only lasted four days. It has lasted, as of yesterday, two months. In the past week m personal computer would randomly shut off and reboot. Has accomplished this about three instances. Yesterday it shut off although I was on the web and then refused to reboot..turn on...nothin. I unplugged it and hooked up a spare power supply I have and it booted up just fine. Two Diablotek phd550 power supplies have now gone bad in just about 2 months time.I am extremely disappointed and also relieved that Diablotek's inferior equipment did not damage the other components of my laptop or computer system In my day to day pursuit of understanding I have come to comprehend that with power supplies there are a few key issues to appear for....single 12v rail, high amp rating on said rail and so on.. Well, now I know that a single must also look for good quality components and a quality organization. Diablotek has neither. Skip over any item sold with the Diablotek name, save a handful of much more bucks and get a excellent power provide such as Computer Power and Cooling, Seasonic or Corsair.

Diablotek PHD Series PHD550 550W Power Supply
Comment:
It was a very fantastic price for a 550 watt specially because I required a 24 + 8 pin supply and did not want to use adapters in a new make and I got this in a combo for an added discount or I would have by no means attempted it out. I like the black case and the massive fan but what got me was the very nice cables they are all wrapped with mesh just like a much far more high priced power supply looks like excellent Just not certain of the brand name but it is placing out significantly a lot more stable voltage than other lesser pricey units I have had. So not substantially of a con just a concern If you are comfortable with the brand I would say its fantastic and to acquire 1 for confident, its good hunting a fantastic cost and looks properly built, as for me I have just in no way heard of this brand but so far so excellent

Runs Much more quietly than my old 500W Turbolink PS. Mesh-wrapped cables = tidy case. Hassle-totally free installation. Unit is smaller enough to appear dwarfed in my complete-size tower case (it does reach the holding bars, thoughts you!). Massive cooling fan on the unit. In truth, I had really a bit of a giggle comparing it to my older, larger energy supply with its puny little fan. It can get a bit noisy. I mean, it's not so loud that your neighbors will complain or something, but it does make some noise. This is a great energy provide for the budget Computer builder. My method is about three-four years old (depending on the portion), built for WoW raiding. This power provide functions perfectly properly with the personal computer I've currently built. Also, thank you Newegg for such a speedy procedure and delivery! ɛ

Fantastic valueSuperior air movementlow noiseGood wrapped cables Cable length is naturally for Mid ATX case or smaller.. Wouldn't try this in a full tower or server case, cables may well not reach. Powering a storage server with 6 drives and 2 NIC's.

Good style, a lot of space for expansion... For no aparent reason it refuses to function with my ASUS 790fx. each parts function seperately, but together they can barely spin the fans as soon as, and tech support from both corporations are unable to give me an answer. Perhaps I just have horrible luck. some men and women i've talked to think its some type of wiring dilemma, but that doesnt seem probable.

Worked for awhile. Died precisely 60 days into use, worked fine until then. Named and emailed Diablotek for RMA below Warranty, they In no way responded and wouldn't answer the phone. The single object I have purchased on NewEgg in the past five years that I really feel I wasted cash on. I will by no means patronize this brand again and I wrote NewEgg an e-mail suggesting they de-list this brand.

It works and keeps the personal computer on! The Fan is going out on it...I have had it for about 9 months and the fan is doing weird items like spinning definitely quickly then nearly stopping. This is in my Media Center, so it becoming loud is a bad factor for me. I'm going to have to get a new Power Supply due to the fact of this.

This power supply has a solid construction. The fan is much quieter than I had expected, and the heat sleves do not have any tears or frays in them. I haven't found one however. If it arrises I'll be back. Fantastic unit for the cost, I got mine as a bonus to some ram. I would recommend this PS for the moderate user.

Great PSU for Price
Comment:
It was easy to install and the voltages are running very stable. I was surprised to find a PSU for this price the the voltage and connectors I needed. I do Wish it was modular I can not really complain. I believe for the price and the features (connectors, and netting around cords)it is one of the best you can get.
