I've had this product for about a month and its seems to work well although the power hasn't gone out for an extended time so far (knock on wood). I did mark down it on features and quality because the included software comes with no documentation and it's not immediately obvious what the difference and purpose of the three included programs.

I really haven't had time to install this battery backup yet but had one years ago and loved it.

There is an audible alarm only when it's running on battery during a power outage. For this reason, make sure you charge up the battery and then unplug it from the wall while running to simulate a power failure. There's no other way to tell if your power load is going to overload the battery. I made that mistake, and my battery blew from the overload (no explosion, but a very loud pop). My room smelled like burning metal for a few hours. Surprisingly, the power supply kept going for a while after the battery died, but I wouldn't risk trying to use it again. The battery doesn't usually last quite long enough to hold out until power is restored, unless your power goes out for less than two minutes, so it's pointless to use it as a backup supply for a system that's meant to run for long hours unattended, like a server. Make sure you know what you're getting.
