Having a problem with a barely audible high pitched whine in the sound, access to the utility is through the CD only it seems. Also there was a hardware issue with the PCIe that caused crashing until the driver was updated. Happened out of the BLUE and was baffling. I've had better boards but all in all this one is OK. Will work on it until perfected. Maybe a new sound card?

Awesome.
Comment:
It works very well. I had doubts about this MOBO when i bought because I wanted to start gaming. So far the games I've worked with been great. If you don't have a lot of money and you want a pretty good mobo then i would get this one.

Poor quality
Comment:
I've been using for about 15 months. Onboard sound stopped working after about 6 months. One ram slot stopped working, so I can only use three of them. However, I'm still using it. If I had to start over I would have gotten something with two PCI-E 16x slots and probably something more durable like an ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte.

Amazing product!!
Comment:
I love the hdmi with vga, and 7.1 surround sound support. I find having dual screens WAY more productive (each one on hdmi or vga). Also, the surround suond is stunning. My only complaint is that the internal video has only 256mb or ram. But with a new 1GB video card, everything runs great! Overall, Im very satisfied.

I bought this to replace a Biostar I had and so far I have not had any problems with it. It seems to be working the way god or man intended it to work. It doesn't have the best video card but thats a quick fix and I haven't got around to fixing it yet. Plus the best thing about it was the price tag, way to go ECS. OK thats all I've got.

Sweet board
Comment:
Just used in a gaming build. Only thing that hung me up was the default in the bios to a RAID hard drive setup, but once i changed that setting to a single hard drive my OS loaded right away

Great unless it breaks
Comment:
This motherboard was great. And it was just what I needed especially for the price. The only bad part however, is when it crapped out on me and died, ECS was NO WHERE to be found. I got NO assistance whatsoever. I sent at least 3 or 4 emails to customer service and got nothing back. So this is a good board but beware if it breaks, get ready to buy a new board. (Replaced this with a Foxconn Flamingblade)

Don't bother mixing this board with IDE drives...
Comment:
...near as I can tell, whatever packaged drivers are with the CMOS on this mobo simply can't handle them. I call it only the most token support for IDE, at best. I was forced to get a SATA drive to even run with this board.

pretty awesome MB
Comment:
This was part of my first (and only build) about a year ago. So far I never encountered any problems with the mobo. This is a good for a first build. I didn't really get the whole hybrid thing, maybe it did something. the setup I have right now if any of you wandering for ideas, it has a 5600 2.80 Ghz (not overclocked) 4 gs 800 mhz ram, a creative sound card, 4780 X2 ATI video card with 1G DDR5. so far playing crysis with 4x a/a going typically around 35 - 50 fps should say something

Worst sound ever
Comment:
Price and features are about average and overall performance is ok. My problem is sound. The onboard stopped working so I put in a PCI sound card and it died, so I put in an older PCI Soundblaster and like the others it quit. Now the cards will work if I put them in another PC so it is the MB. Really a mystery, because if I put them back in the Black they work for awhile.

Great value

I have used this MoBd for a about a year now and have had no problems with it. I had a little difficulty getting the initial set up but most of that was my own inexperience. I was using the XP SP-1 disk from my old system and had to get an SP-2 disk to get the BIOS to recognize the entire 400 G HD. It only wanted to recognize the first 168 Meg, That was the BIOS and software issue, not the MB's fault. We run medium graphics games with just the on-board graphics with no problems. Great board.

Great first build
Comment:
This MB is great for any build that isnt a serious gaming rig and also for a budget PC and had good enough instructions for a 15 year old's first build. Thanks!

Excellent Budget Board
Comment:
Latest build includes Athlon 4400+ Brisbane, 2GB Corsair PC6400, and Sapphire HD 4670. Easy overclocking within the processor's limits. The integrated graphics is excellent for the non-gamer, though for less intensive games and smaller monitors its decent if paired with a HD 3400 series card. Have had no problems whatsoever with this board- for $80 or so I couldn't ask for a better board.

Good mb at a fair price
Comment:
I've been happy with the performance of the mb so far with 9650 quad core and 4Gb fatality RAM. Documentaton leaves a bit to be desired and took some time and research to get it up and running. Not the best choice for a novice system builder.

Great value and features
Comment:
I bought this MB with OCZ REAPER 1150 MHz two gigs and a AMD 7750 2.7 GHz running @ 3GHz. Ordered on Saturday received on Wednesday, I can't say enough about this combo, extremly fast, had no problems with set-up, didn't need bios flash, no audio problems, HDMI works, hooked to my HDTV. Put it together in three hours, up and running. Thanks for the good service, can track your shipment with UPS!!

ECS A780GM-A ATX AMD Motherboard
Comment:
First of all, I honestly dont know why everyone has a problem with the audio? I have V.1.1, maybe thats the problem. (this listing is for V.1.0) I bought mine on NewEgg.com for well under seventy dollars and I am UNBELIEVABLY happy with it! My last rig had an Abit Fatal1ty fI90 HD mobo, w/ an Intel Pentium D 915. It was good, but it took an hour to encode a movie. Now I have this mobo, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma Black Ed., with only 2 gigs of OCZ ddr2 1066, it encodes the same movies in FIFTEEN MINUTES! Absolutely no problems with audio, not even when watching stuff on my 50'' plasma via the HDMI port. Have mine overclocked to 3 ghz. with NO stability issues!, and in case you dont know use the multiplier to o.c., NOT THE VOLTAGES! and yes you do have to know how to set timings, so if you dont BUY A MICRO-ATX board for beginners! Dont diss this board because of your own lack of knowledge!!

ECS A780GM-A ATX AMD Motherboard
Comment:
The mobo was great and I got it in a cpu-mobo deal, with just on board video I was able to play Fallout3 at med graphics, and a lot of other games just as well but my only concern was the on board audio it worked for the first month but then it started having problems trying to access memory and has to shut down the company that makes the software is IDT and has no drivers on the site nor does the mobo manufacture site that works so you have to invest in another audio card when you buy this mobo but everything else works fine with my setup.

ECS A780GM-A ATX AMD Motherboard
Comment:
I just upgraded to this motherboard with an AMD 64x2 processor. Like others I had a few problems setting up IDE hard drive, and DVD burner. After I upgraded the bios, it worked fine. I run unreal tournament 2004 at full speed with all the options maxed out. I can also run most of my 3D games at full speed with no slow-down. Works great. One thing to keep in mind though if you are installing an operating system, make sure you have your drivers on the hard drive because your USB, and other drives won't be accessible until you put the drivers on it.

ECS A780GM-A ATX AMD Motherboard
Comment:
i have this board paired with a 7750 x2 ultra 800 mhz dual channel ram. at stock speed settings it runs very well, but even a slight over clock makes this very unstable at 2.9ghz at stock voltage. at a little higher voltage its even worse. less voltages seemed to do nothing as well. You can overclock the heck outta the ram i have mine running at 430 no problem. even with the ram at stock settings slight cpu OC makes this a mess. all in all good board for a non OC'er
