Excellent value for the dollar if the rebate comes via. Very good documentation. Went together in a couple hours without concern. Dropping an egg due to very poor overclock capability. If you don't overclock, then this is a good spending budget board. Utilizing this with an Sempron and it functions wonderful. Superb budget system for a property office solution. Sempron and mobo were bought together for ๓; can't beat that with a stick.

* onboard video* supports AM3 processors (eg. most up-to-date Sempron)* utilizes a incredibly superior, verified chipset * hardware monitoring lacking* no DVI output - need to be normal these days With AM3 boards now far more typical and at additional reasonable prices, this board is a little obsolete. Nevertheless, the chipset will most likely live on.

Got it with a Sempron 140 Combo deal. Employing it with Windows Household Server trial. Transfer speeds on backups are 97-99% of bandwith鲤Mhz). Extremely swift technique. The ECS MB has everything on board to do the job. Good form factor with no issues for drive connectors. Memory placement was out of the way and very straightforward to install. On board video, LAN and Audio round out this package leaving quite small to be desired for a all objective machine. The board fired up on the first try and there had been no troubles loading Windows Vista Ultimate or PCLinuxOS. The four SATA drive connections make it tempting to upgrade any PATA devices. I extremely advise this board - just be careful that you obtain it for the right level of use. None at this time. One of the deciding variables was the "bang for the buck" with the combo AMD chip as well as the other critiques that had been quite high. It was also impressive that ECS seemed to follow up on any client complications with an effort to satisfy any concern.

handles decent variety of cpu's just fine. am3 two.7 gig sempron 45 watt and older am2 two.6 gig brisbane dual core 65 watt perform just fine. onboard video is ok but let's be honest. if you're playing anything equal to or additional demanding than Globe of warcraft. I advise a separate video card of minimum 7300gt or much better for nvidia chipset cards, or 3650 or greater for ati chipset cards. ram memory can be hard to get rid of from the board if a mid to large size video card is installed in the pciE slot. my gf has a asus en9800gt 512mb 256 bit interface card installed and i have to semi gently use a flat head screw driver to push the locking ram slot pins down to unlock them to take out any ram. but this is not worth docking an egg. i fairly significantly guessed this when i looked at the pictures and zoomed in on that region. still very good value. Dogooder, no one buys a micro atx sized and/or low-cost cost ranged motherboard with the intention to overclock. why would you dock an egg for a inexpensive board like this ( looking at the cost ought to be a common sense thing for this statement) that naturally ISN'T advertising one thing about overclocking support? DOCK AN EGG FOR Something THAT IS ADVERTISED TO Work but didn't...not because you wanted to come across something super low-cost and hoping it will overclock and then want to whine about it. maybe you ought to attempt my motherboard: Asus m4a785td-v evo has quite excellent overclocking options in bios. and is around 100 bucks (free shipping as of these days two-26-2010 still. not sure how much longer cost-free shipping will last). rma the one you have if you haven't already, or just bite the bullet and fork out the added 20 or much more bucks ( based on what other demands or wants you have out of your other hardware) and be performed with it. i have been making use of the m4a785td -v evo because october 09. no troubles but period

Originally bought this motherboard as a combo with an AMD Athlon II X2 240 Regor 2.8GHz processor for about 贓. Installed simply, compatible with a wide range of processors, produces incredibly little heat and works with no skipping a beat. What I like most is that it (V3.) works incredibly properly with Windows Home Server with out getting to load any drivers at all. None ECS Group could fill an niche marketplace by advertising this as a Windows Household Server compatible motherboard. Extremely impressed with this item.

Excellent value! AM2 platform is a definite improvement over my 939 set-up. In truth, if you have an NVidia board Nforce on an AMD platform, you can far more than likely just plug and play! How sweet is that! Has your typical set of Bios attributes, which includes Raid5 (software). Stable and quiet (no chipset fan). Small footprint in case. Overall, a lot more than what I expected. Incredibly surprised.Go NewEgg! Wish I had 1 added PCIx16 slot. PCIx1 slot will be blocked with most high-end video cards, so I wish it had been situated further down or swapped positions somehow. But, it is a micro-ATX so what can you do.If you have lengthy-cards, you may want to watch it. The chipset heatsync can get in the way of your PCI slots. It 'may' be resolvable by getting an active chipset cooler. Not adequate technique fan pins on the board (only comes with 1 case + 1 CPU fan). But, can be worked around with adapters to the PS.Ƒ) IDE slot, so your max'd out at 2 devices. I have 2 DVDs on IDE, so I'm good.No firewire. Only came with 1 SATA/IDE cable. three USB pin-outs, but you'll will need the hardware to use on your case.If you want to overclock this board, you are going to be incredibly disappointed. There are no attributes to unlocck the processor, adjust voltage, etc. Also, I heard people getting trouble with volts above 1.8 for memory. I have ram that run 2.0v just fine, but efficiency memory may possibly be an problem. Go to newegg's Canada net-website and look up this board. They have a number of reviews that had been really valuable influencing my choice, with suggestions on issues that may possibly go wrong with the install. I was up and running in under 2 hours w/o getting to reinstall all my software program or OS. It is wise, nevertheless, to uninstall particular drivers ahead of you do the swap, and that you use the CD that came with the board. There is a sequence (setup.exe on the CD) to install of drivers. If you're searching at this to turn into some thing into a super-gaming PC, then this is almost certainly not for you. But, if you want to get back into playing your typical games or use new industry hardware at an attractive price-point, this board might be for you.BeforeAMD 939 x2 3800ưGB XMS & 1GB OCZ DDR MemoryNeo2 Platinum MBRadeon HD2600 Pro 512MBSoon afterThis boardKingston HyperX 2GBSempron 140 ࿍W)Radeon 4670 1GB videoIt's a massive improvement. Quick for the funds, universal cpu apps. lots of bios options and great clocking capabilities , low energy requirements. Locks up keyboard if left in bios setup mode more than 50 seconds requiring a reset to get to cost-free up.Downloaded and installed bios upgrade and still similar difficulty.. The board ,when lastly set up to get operating program installed runs quite superior and so far no other issues but in bios setup mode you much better be fast to set your options and get out or it locks up no matter what you do but outside of that it seems to be a smooth running board overall.

The board is fairly affordable and excellent for a standard internet-browsing PC, or for a CCTV method base build(Like mine.). Well the initial Con I noticed during the setup of Windows 7 is that for a split second throughout the installation the screen flickered in a weird way. It only did it when so I paid no mind to it. When the installation was more than, I was setting up the pc (from a fresh install) the screen just began to go crazy. (It looked like if you exactly where watching Television off of an old tube Television and someone knocked over your Television antenna.) So I downloaded all the newest drivers from ECS's internet site to no avail ={.So I google'd and it appears other people are getting the same issue, whether or not it be straight from the box, or in the near future.Other than the video/resolution concern. I've got no troubles so far =). So, I decided to attempt and lower my screen resolution to see if perhaps it was a resolution dilemma. Mine was at 19XX something. [The highest setting at the current moment.] So I dropped it down to like 800x600 (sadbanna). Which was when I realized that the motherboard itself has a difficulty with high resolutions. it works excellent on anything besides 19XX and above.I am using this for a CCTV in residence setup and I actually don't use a monitor at all since I remote desktop into the machine. So the unit still works for me, but I thought I'd give a fair warning for the rest of you guys out there =).. Later!

Almost everything fired up nicely. 30 bucks after rebate cost-free shipping. CMON!!! cant get superior than that.pci express slot., on board video. only 2 ram slots. so acquire a single huge one. for future expansion.board was surprisingly modest and a bit flimsy. But what do you anticipate for 30bucks.rebates are not enjoyable. Of course Newegg for the win!!
