Installed windows 7 on this and now my girlfriend and I are always fighting over who gets to use it. Pros: It's so handy for travel. Runs windows 7 fine without any hardware upgrades. Cons: It's ability to show fingerprints on its exterior. Using firefox will make the screen feel too small because of all the space the browser wastes. wish it shipped with the 6-cell battery and a sleeve.

I was worried as a gift for my mother and eyesight - 10'' inch - but the strong lcd is doable for email and basic office routines This little machine rocks after getting cleaned up a bit. The processor is more than enough for someone just surfing and has the power to go beyond the call of duty if need be (Office, etc). 1.1kg sooooo tiny and cute. A great little box.

I got this product around a month back and I am using it since then. I found it working as expected and described in the details. I will say that this is a good investment of money. This is a very handy product and easy to carry. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small size netbook.

After researching a lot of these netbooks, I landed on the Asus Eee. I was getting it as a gift for someone and thought this computer would be the best fit. So far it has worked great. Makes me want to go out and get my own!

After I purchased, I found other netbooks of equal quality for less money. I do like the Asus and find it easy to use. Just think I should have waited for a better price.

I brought this item as a Christmas present and was very embarrassed. It shut down on its own and would not start up or even show that the power was hooked up. I returned this item and brought a Dell note book from Walmart.

This is a great product. As others stated, wi-fi worked from go. Keyboard and touchpad are fine and the display is A Plus. As far as backup, just do it through your home P.C. I Removed the included anti virus software to install a different one but waited 3 days in between.. then..Spyware etc... The restore disc worked perfect. Then I backed it up. I can not blame Asus for my mistake so that is why I rated it as I did. Excellent Netbook

WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES TO DATE. I BOUGHT FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR CHRISTMAS, SHE LOVES IT. WE WERE ABLE TO ACCESS THE INTERNET AND USE THE WEBCAM AS SOON AS WE OPENED THE PACKAGE.

Very good product, the only down fall, unlike acer the asus eeeepc can not back up the hard dive in case you need to re formatt..other wise very good product for the mony

Save your money the technichal support is horrible and the browser will need an update that will not be available to you shortly after buying it and half the internet will be off limits

First of all if anything goes wrong with your product be prepared to ship this on your own dime. The company does not send you a pre-paid label as they should. They expect you to pay it. I bought this computer as a gift for a family member. The thing worked for exactly 5 days and then the power supply went out... completely. It does not power the computer at all. So now I am supposed to ask the recipient of the gift to PAY to have a working computer? This is crazy! The person the gift was for says now he will never consider Asus for computer needs. Neither will I and I suggest you do the same. Also, this is a known issue because if you go to Google there are already pre-typed searches for this problem (it takes a LOT of searches before Google recognizes it like that). Stay away from this company... they also outsource to India so very hard to understand customer service reps for me and I usually don't have a problem with that at all.

Very small and light lol, but I only needed a laptop for when my husband is away, for the internet and music and it's perfect for just that. It does everything that I need it to. Internet fast, downloading fast, loading fast. Perfect gift for a teen or someone who takes there computer everywhere lol.

Love this little net book! It is everything and more that I expected. Fast, easy to use and of course very portable. Speed, features and fun without the laptop price or weight. Easy to set up wireless.

Excellent product-great value for the price- my only disappointment was that the web cam didn't work very well- I suspect that there isn't enough RAM- although the one on my desktop is similar and works fine.

I bought this for my son for xmas because my other son has the same one and he loves it. So far, my son says he really likes it and is already using it, of course. The price was good and then I found the same notebook about $30 cheaper at the local big chain for electronics just before xmas. Ugh! Probably a fluke. Thanks, I will be back.

If you don't plan using any intensive applications or try to do any multimedia, gaming or intense multitasking, this is a nice netbook. Works very well for general internet use and general application use. The battery lasts for many hours.

My wife wanted something smaller than one of the laptops we had in the house. She is very happy with the Asus, being able to slip it into her purse and take it anywhere. This notebook starts up quickly and is actually a lot of fun to have at our fingertips. While watching a movie on TV, she started it up to see where she had seen an actor before. She used it again while sitting in a restaurant. Yes, the same thing can be done with the iPhone and other similar phones, but it is a lot easier to type on the Asus!

I bought two of these for my kids. Got them out of the box and fired them right up. After running a few XP updates, and a couple of Asus updates, the machines were ready to go. The keyboard was easy to use despite being compact. The display looks bright and clear. The pre-installed software from Asus is going to make it a breeze to keep the machines updated. I'm a bit nervous handing them over to my kids, but they seem fairly durable. We will see. If I was in the market, I would certainly buy one of these.
