Defective Board
Comment:
This board came to me already open and manual missing, went ahead and installed it. Wouldn't boot called EVGA tech support, removed it from the case ran through a scenario of test and came to conclusion that the board is bad. Now waiting on new board to arrive. Still can't believe they sent an open item..

Defective Board
Comment:
Took a lot of time to put all the parts on it and into the case. Started up and would not connect with the net. Messed with it for a long time called ISP for help told me the net work card on board was bad. Had it checked out with a repair shop and they confirmed. Had to hook up a wireless to use it. To much time lost replacing all the parts getting a new board etc. Not real happy with the board.

Impressive
Comment:
I'm not a huge gamer, I'm mostly into chat rooms and such, so I don't know how to judge it for that kind of use, it has served me well since I booted it up. This board had some issues with drivers, but I'm pretty sure that was my inexperience showing how much I still have to learn about computers, other than that, I think my money was well spent.

EVGA 122-YW-E173-TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Cons:Weak CPU support.

Pros:A decent board if not counting issues listed below.
Comment:
Purchased a Q9400 to use with it and I couldn't get it to boot, EVGA claims it has full Yorkfield 45nm core support. Unable to get past post screen to update  BIOS. Called EVGA tech support and they told me to update  the BIOS with an older CPU. After hunting down an old P4 I put the latest BIOS in, still no boot. Called EVGA again and was advised that the latest website BIOS won't work, it needs a specific older one (version K) not available on their site. Tech rep e-mailed it to me, I put it in and finally got it to boot only to find out the ethernet port is faulty. EVGA suggested using the newest BIOS from their website....which would render my CPU useless again. Requesting RMA right now. Haven't had issues with EVGA before this.

Cons:none that I can see

Pros:Ease of setup and use

I have always loved nforce based boards from evga. I have NEVER had an issue with them. They are easy to tweak and very stable.

Good hardware, bad software
Comment:
Props: Looks stylish. Has 2 coolers on board. Cons: South brige chip gets really hot ever when no heavy activity performed. There is no AUX cooler connector that really is strange for an enthusiast's MB. Front panel audio connectors are located right under the second x16 slot, that means that you have to disconnect the panel after installing the second video. Overclocking capabilities are little or none. Onboard Realtek NIC is a really bad choice for gaming PC. BAD CONS: The motehrboard DOESN'T support Q9550 porcessors. In spite of being declaring Core2 Quad processors compatibility this one is NOT supported. With original BIOS on the board Q9550 works but cannot be customized (any changes to settings results in hanging), update to version S20S from the EVGA site makes the card totally unusable with this kind of processors (take a look at EVA official forum - there are several guys with the same problem). The best that EVGA support could do is sending me an old BIOS version.

What an Upgrade
Comment:
I had to have a cheap replacement board in my system for 1+ years and finally had enough. My previous board wouldn't let me do anything. So the time came for an upgrade and what a choice you have here. The 750i just blew me away as far as it's appearance, performance, and extras. Ability to run SLI is always a plus. Having the 2 board fans (plus my already installed fans) and this board is kept cool and comfortable. Now, I'm able to run my ram better, and my GPU has doubled in FPS just due to this board. Nice extras include the reset and power buttons on the board. 3 lights that translate to current board status, and a neat code box that will spit out a code if there's a problem in the board itself. Nice price and well worth it for me.

Nice features, Bleh value/quality
Comment:
This board has nice features, such as temp monitoring, overclocking, plenty of room for decent upgrading. It is a bit expensive since it will be out of date within a year (new socket for the intel i7 processor). Mine had a dead LAN on arrival. Thanks for the new one; it works great. If your not building a gaming or mod computer, you probably want an ASUS or something cheaper like that.

EVGA 122-YW-E173-TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Comment:
I bought this board about two weeks ago. Well, the PCI-E on the first one did not work. On the second one, after having to pay 25 bucks to send the first one back, the board was defective and I had to pay for it. Got the second one and only one of the memory slots worked, also my case was lighting up all the lights before I even turn the computer on. This is the first and the last thing I buy from EVGA. I'm saying XFX all the way! They are sending me another board now before I send the other one back. Third times a charm! This time I didn't pay a thing.

Comment:
Damn good board for the price. I must say EVGA technical support is the best I've seen for any company period. Plenty of USB ports two fans built into the motherboard they are pretty quiet too and keep things cool. There are only two minor cons I wasn't thrilled with the selection of compatable ram and the SATA plugs are in a inconvienant spot. Make sure to connect the plugs BEFORE placing the motherboard inside the case. OR make sure to line them up as best you can and use a flat head screw driver to push the plugs in the rest of the way it makes life alot easier. There you have it, great price and preformance a good buy. I recomend it.

EVGA 122-YW-E173-TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Cons:Does not support Q8200 without Bios Update, FSB is 1066 but memory controller is only 800.

Pros:Great Price for a LGA775 SLi Mobo.
Comment:
Overall this board is a good board, just when i got it I said it supported the Q8200 and it didnt support it right out of the box. This is not a NCIX problem but a manufactoring problem, as when I called EVGA about it they said the CPU was supported via Bios upgrade. Other than the small CPU combatiblity this board is a good board. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-16-09 01:01 PM

Cons:none so far.

Pros:Spacious, good layout!
Comment:
Bought this on sale bundled with an E7300 cpu for a budget build. Only has 4 SATA ports, so not great for a storage or gaming rig. Perfect for a budget pc to browse web, watch movies, last a while. Can always upgrade the CPU/RAM in the future for improved performance without having to replace the board. EVGA has great customer service and warranty (if you register product online).

Cons:PCI-Express x16 slots operate via x8 bus Only 4 SATA ports

Pros:Great price for a decent mobo
Comment:
Had no problems with this build, everything worked well. Fortunately, i had exactly 4 sata devices to use, since the board only has 4 sata ports. i dont like that im limited for future upgrades, especially with more and more sata devices coming out.For the price though, its well worth it if your looking for a low cost SLI build.
