First one was DOA
Comment:
First board would not start diagnostics on power up. Researched the boards abd it is a common problem. After 4 days of back and forth with EVGA support I gave up and returned it. Second one works great

Xtremely Good
Comment:
First time builder, was a lil concerned about the possibility of it coming doa or with any kind of problem as per other reviews, but everything worked just fine. Didnn't have any problem assembling my system. One thing is that it takes a lot to post and that it only has one pcie x16 port. I have a coolermaster storm scout and all those motherboard leds really and temperature display really look nice through my storm scout window. It is also easy to overclock with E-LEET program that came with it. Highly recommended

Perfect board...except for the lack of IDE
Comment:
This board is a great deal and works perfectly. The only negative aspect is the lack of any IDE channels. So to install an OS, I was stuck buying a SATA DVD drive... and my only option at the local store was a BlueRay reader, DVD writer. $100 I hadn't budgeted for.

board works, but no tri channel
Comment:
Bought this board, had to rma the first time because of dead ram channel, then second time, tri channel does not work. So far not feeling good about the board. Gonna take it to a shop to see if it is any bios settings or ram problem. Might change to use another board.

Fast Board
Comment:
This board is very nice. The cpu temp lcd looks great. With the i7 this thing is fast. My computer boots so fast that by the time the monitor turns on the only part of the boot that left is starting windows and then the login screen shortly after.

Awesome
Comment:
i gave it a 4 on value, because it is fairly expensive, but then again its fairly cheap for some of the i7 motherboards, looks really nice in my nvidia coolmaster case, fit really well, running the core i7 920 in it. Havnt accually started it up but from what i see, a very nice product and im glad i bought it.

Very good board for the money.
Comment:
This is my first build and I think I hit the nail on the head with this board. Looks absolutly stunning in my case, so much that I repainted my case to match the red and black. Endless adjustments with this board. The dummy overclock feature is really nice. One change and your up and going at 3.2GHz stable. Board is set up nice for crossfire or dual sli. CMOS reset feature comes in handy when you make a mistake. Would recommend this to anyone from a newbie to a hardcore gamer. It is easy to use and will do anything you need it to.

Do not play games, but works just fine. I am using two of these for four monitors. Main card seems to get fairly heated up.

This M/B is excelent.

I'll leave the technical stuff to the other guys. All I can say is this is a great board. It has just about everything you'll ever want. The only minnor issue is the placement of the SATA connections. You need a large enough case to have room to connect to these SATA ports. It's a darn tight fit other wise.

awesome board, other doeheads that bought it are?
Comment:
someone giving a board bad reviews because they couldn't put in an i/o shield right?cant put a cpu in?check your low skill level, you guys suck, not the gear, blame yourselves, yesshhh. my other boards have the same i/o also,it doesn't interfere with anything, unless you didn't lower your board in right.Ive noticed people say they have high skills, but its their 1st build, this makes them a newbie!dont blame evga, look in mirror

EVGA X58
Comment:
I bought this board to put in a new system build...the first board that arrived had a problem with the bios. I called EVGA and they said to return it to which I did...they quickly sent me another board that installed and booted no problems....it was easy to install and clearly marked. I had ordered a fan with it but switched it out for a Zalman just to give a little more heat dispersion. As usual this site was easy to deal with and issued a RMA with out any difficulty.

Solid board, overall nice design
Comment:
Up to now I've always used Asus boards but I've been using EVGA graphics and have had good luck there so decided to give their MB a try. Overall I'm very happy with the board. When I first powered on my system I didn't see the display become active. The Diag LED on the board told me everything was working fine and soon discovered the problem was with the display I was using. That was a nice touch. The MB is nicely labeled and the layout is good. The only complaint is with the SATA connectors. In the case I have they were a very tight fit.

Pretty good Buy
Comment:
Bought this as a barebones kit with an i7core 920 cpu. Very pleased with mother boards slots and potential to OC. Will accomidate up to 3 dual slot GPU cards. Little tight in the case but very workable. Would like to have had right angle SATA connectors instead of the standard but overall pleased otherwise I would have given straight 4+.

EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR ATX X58 SLI LE Intel Motherboard
Cons:-PCIE electrical speeds (see below)-EPS and audio connections in awkward spots...no hiding those cables-2 included SATA cables with a $300 motherboard?? ...come on guys-SmartFan BIOS utility doesn't work-Did I mention the PCIE electrical speeds?

Pros:-sexy as hell (yes, I'm shallow)-awesome Phoenix BIOS-E-LEET tuning utility-overclocks well
Comment:
I made the mistake of buying this board the week it was released when most sites listed the PCIE slot speeds as x16/x8/x8/x8. It turns out that the slots actually run at fixed speeds of x16/x8/x4/x8. This means that most SLI users are stuck running their cards jammed together in slots 1 and 2, covering the sole x1 PCIE and PCI slots and leaving about a 1/4" for airflow between the cards. For kicks I tried my GTX 260s in slots 1 and 3... temps on card 1 dropped almost 10 degrees, but my Vantage score dropped from 20,500 to 19,200. Why EVGA would choose to make slot 4 run at x8 is beyond me... you can't put a dual slot card in there anyway (the card would have nowhere to vent in most cases, and it would block access to the USB/firewire/power & reset connections along the bottom of the motherboard). Those extra 4 lanes would have been much more welcome in slot 3 to allow for proper x8 SLI or tri-SLI. This board does overclock well (3.8 with a D0 without even really trying), but multi-GPU users should look elsewhere.

Great Customer Support, First Board Died
Comment:
The first boards video controller died after about an hour of use. The board is slower to post than normal. No IDE or floppy connectors so setting up a raid array in XP 64 requires a USB floppy drive. The northbridge gets very hot and I put a 40 mm fan on it. The memory also gets quite hot and I purchased a corsair twin fan memory cooler over the Dimm's. I was using 12 gig's of corsair memory 6 that came with the kit & 6 I purchased separately. The Ultra case that came with the kit I had to substitute for another because the SATA cables would hit the hard drive bay. May they could have looked over that kit a little closer. The second board is working fine for about 5 hours of running. I'll cross my fingers. Customer support was impressive. short wait time and knowledgeable. The I7 is fast but I don't believe worth the cost difference of the AMD X4 940 when considering the cost of building an entire system. It is fast, but from what I,ve experienced so far not that noticeable.

5 Stars All Around
Comment:
This motherboard was part of a SLI-Ready Barebones kit. I was quite pleased with all it had to offer. I'd recommend this board to anyone who is looking for a quality i7 LGA1366 mother board and on a budget. It has everything you could need. I'm also pleased to say it survived me building my first gaming computer which required me to remove the heatsink 4 or 5 times (adjustments & replacements). It's a very sturdy board. I also like the fact that the internal LED screen will display numbers at startup (if something is wrong) and will display the tempature while running. The black coloring makes an excellent touch to those who are looking for that extra special touch. The people over at EVGA forums were very friendly and helpful. Check out Google for reviews -- you won't hear much bad about the board. Something that isn't stressed is the fact that it can handle 3 - 4 PCI Express Graphics Cards. EVGA also supplies some pretty cool monitoring software. Make sure you get a good heatsink

Decent board for the price
Comment:
Only a couple things were sort of annoying. The I/O shield comes with a pad on the inside that, with my particular case, forced the top corner of the motherboard off to the side, so I had to strip that off. Also, while dropping in the cpu was not difficult, closing the cover over it was a very tight fit.

EVGA 141-BL-E757-TR ATX X58 SLI LE Intel Motherboard
Cons:- Stupid place for the front panel audio- Only 2 SATA cables

Pros:- Looks absolutely stunning- Great features like tri-sli with dedicated physics card- lots of USB headers- onboard power/reset- onboard POST codes, that turn into the CPU temp when it's running- AWESOME BIOS
Comment:
While this board is jam packed with features for an amazing price, you can see where they saved money, on the accessories. You only get 2 SATA cables (bare minimum) which is kinda stupid when your paying 300 for a board. and another stupid thing is the placement of the front panel audio. It's right above the 1st PCI-e all the way to the far left, so the audio cable has to stretch across your board, making to look sloppy.Other than that, this board is feature packed, has a terrific BIOS and runs very stable!
