EVGA GeForce 6200 512-A8-N403-LR Video Card
Comment:
Affordable, fanless, AGP, no additional energy connection required! I paid ฼.99 and the cost has dropped an additional Ů given that. I'd extremely advise this card for an older method you're just not rather prepared to pitch. I've noticed a couple reviewers mentioned the fanless feature as a con but I'm all for no fan, less noise and takes up much less room! Does appear to run a tiny hot but that's to be anticipated with no a fan. I'd advocate a laptop or computer case with decent airflow. I threw this into an old Gateway Pentium 4 system. The original GeForce four Ti burned up when the fan bit the dust. I did have a smaller concern initially, after I installed the card I would get some slow down throughout normal computer use. Also if I tried to correct click the desktop to transform the resolution my personal computer would just freeze up. I believed perhaps the card was negative so switched to an older AGP card devoid of any complications. I tried this card again and no difficulties due to the fact. I can only guess perhaps I didn't have the card seated properly or perhaps as talked about just before the card was running also warm.

512MB RAM and 4xǞx AGP. Fits any situation... Regular ATX that is. DOA... This card was to be used for a workstation on an old SOYO P4 Dragon Deluxe motherboard for straightforward tasks and dual monitors. Called EVGA support and they were valuable but we are in IT firm and he had nothing new to add to the troubleshooting procedure. Bummer, RMA.

Got this card though it had free of charge shipping, plus a promo code for 5 dollars off during checkout, so the final value came out to only 39 dollars. This was an upgrade to my old NVidia GeForce4 MX 420 card I had in my AGP 4x slot, and I ought to say I'm not disappointed. Counter-Strike: Supply now runs with significantly better graphics, though there are nevertheless some frame-rate troubles When I ordered from this web site, there was an selection shown for 1-day UPS ground shipping. There need to have been a malfunction to this web page or somebody playing a trick on me, since I had to wait three days in order to get the card. The loss of an egg was for NewEgg's service, not the item itself No fan like the specs said, but you're under no circumstances going to come across a GS with a fan, that's what the S stands for, is "Silent"

What can I say, It's a AGP card. Got to do what you got to do. Does what I want it to for my old AGP requiring Dell. No Fan. Mine run's around 52c . It's slightly concerning mainly because exactly where I have it, It's quite cold. It wont be in the summer although. We'll see how it holds up. Just invest in a new personal computer, AGP cards are not worth their cost... But if that's not an option, then this is one of the far better AGP card's you can get that is not too pricey.

I bought a single for my desktop Computer to replace a failing 32(!) mb card. When I told my wife how much I had saved at Newegg on a 512mb card, she asked if I could get her one too! It took much less than 30 minutes to install the cards in each computers, and configuration took less than 5, handled automatically at the NVidia website. At ึ per card and totally free shipping, I couldn't have bought even 1 locally for the same price tag, let alone two. Quick shipping, good packaging, and appropriate to my door. Newegg, you guys rock! None whatsoever

Great price tag, decent quantity of RAM, FANLESS, three outputs like television-out and digital. Will BSOD with Windows 7 in my older Shuttle with nForce2 mobo chipset. I bought this card (and previously the 128MB version) for "near silent" pcs I was creating, and they worked extremely nicely for casual use (web surfing, videos, etc - no intense games). Sadly, when I installed it into a Shuttle Pc I use as a MediaPC box, it would NOT run for any length of time just before bluescreening on the core graphics driver. No matter what version of the driver or resolution I tried setting it to, as soon as I did much of something, POW... BSOD, reboot. It's unfortunate that I had to put an older, crappier ATI card back into the media computer and use OLD drivers just to get it to function below Win7 and do the Aero effects. If you have an nForce mobo, beware, this card may well not perform. Otherwise, it will function good so long as you're not doing any games a lot more difficult than anything like Civ3.

Easy install, drivers are easy to setup and get ready. Installed on more than 30 computers to setup dual screens. They run fine on old computers & new computers w/o a dilemma Usually non, unless there is a surge / power outage. Sometimes the capasitors will pop and you shed your card. But for beneath 60.00 it is effortless to get yet another. I have had five cards blow but that was following storms, typical day in & day out, you dont get troubles I've noticed the capasitors on the new card i got has various setup. Hopefully they fixed it so they dont blow any additional..

Cons:None, really.

Pros:Quiet AGP card for all your low-end AGP needs.

If you need an AGP video card then your choices are now fairly limited. Want one that's quiet and cheap? This'll do! Want to play Crysis? Save your money for something a little better.

This board brings Windows 7 compatibility to a MB with an AGP slot...and it doesn't have a fan to give you fits down the road. My 22 flat screen wanted 1680 X 1050 resolution which was no issue with this board 鹀m). Functions WITH WINDOWS 7 64!! Not really a con for my referb of mature organization computer systems....demands a 300 Watt min PS and it's a complete sized board so it won't fit in a small mini (thin) case. It gets warm so a case fan for excellent ventilation is a plus. Whilst it works fine for the usual Windows card games & and so on. I don't feel you need to anticipate it to function for you if you're into arcade games. If you're wanting to upgrade "business computers" and/or "normal home computers" this is the board that worked for me!! Upgrading 1+ year old nonetheless viable hardware from XP to Win7 is going to save $$. (My MBs are ASUS K8N vintage with 2gig mem.) I wrestled with a couple ATI based boards that were doing fine with XP. Tried about every little thing to uncover and download drivers for them to function with Win7. It was finding quite frustrating till I saw a comment/feedback from an EVGA guy about this board working with Win7. He's now my hero...saving me $$ in extending the hardware life of my computer systems that would otherwise have to die along, with XP.

Took an old HP personal computer and allowed it to run Windows 7 and a 26in monitor with excellent overall performance. Heat disipation is horrible. The heatsink gets rather hot operating the 1920x1200 resolution carrying out nothing but internet looking. Even though obtaining hot only suggests that the heatsink is operating properly, the heat does not have something that moves it away. The finish outcome is that the heat rises back to the card. I will most likely be replacing the heatsink with a fancooled setup given that the card DOES have the power connector for a gpu fan.

Decent amount of memory for an agp card. Inexpensive overall cost. No heatsink fan. Causes system lock ups and crashes. Pcpitsops 3d test crashes this factor like clockwork. Games also crash often with this thing. Stay away from it. EVGA GeForce 6200 512-A8-N403-LR Video Card
Comment:
Card was incredibly uncomplicated to install. Snapped right into my 8x AGP slot. I didn't install the drivers from the CD, I let Windows 7 do it. Then, I went to NVIDIAs internet site and got an even newer driver. Seemed to work ok. Didn't do what I wanted it to. My aim was to reuse some old hardware (eMachines T3256 w/ single core two.two GHz AMD Athlon XP processor, 2 GB DDR RAM, Win7 Residence)... connect it to a 40" 1080p LCD and stream Hulu/Youtube, and play music and videos. The video got too choppy/slow-motiony with the connection on full-screen. My last attempt will be the HD 4650 & a bigger PSU. (I couldn't come across any HD 3850 or HD 4670 that were new and reasonably priced).I'll post a evaluation on the HD 4650 with those outcomes. In fact bought it on TD. (frowny face) And it expense ŭ additional ... lame. At least I'm returning it. :D

Functions utilizing two monitors in Twinview. Seems to work fine with out getting to upgrade power provide (currently working with 250 W power supply). Quick delivery from newegg.ca: ordered on Friday and arrived mid-week on the following week. None so far. This card replaced old ATI 128 RAGE video card that did not support Compiz-Fusion or Cairo-Dock and had complications with camera view in Blender.

Wonderful for the price. It took only about 15 minutes for the whole installation process. Worked fine following the install with 1 exception. The drivers came with this video card did not support 1920x1080 pixels. I had to download and install the newest and greatest drivers from NVIDIA to detect 1920x1080 resolution. Go to EVGA support to uncover the newest drivers. None
