Great Card!
Comment:
Relaced a 3400 series Ati card and noticed a good step up in performance. The upgrade was well worth it!

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:-18x.xx ForceWare drivers have issues with BioShock, have to use 178.24.-Would have liked an HDMI out

Pros:-Good performance in BioShock (only game I've tested it on so far)-Received as a replacement for a 7600 GT (thanks EVGA)-PureVideo HD acceleration
Comment:
I haven't updated my rig for a very long time, but my 7600 GT died on me. Was very pleasantly surprised to receive this 9800 GT as a replacement. I was worried that the rest of my system (3800+ X2 at 2.5ghz, 2GB PC4000) would bottleneck the card, and while my 3dmark06 score is relatively low due to my slow CPU, I am still getting very good performance in BioShock. At first, I was very disappointed as I was getting major stuttering making the game unplayable, but after some research, many Nvidia owners are experiencing the same thing and have to revert back to 178.24 to get proper performance. After I did this, my FPS never dips below 45 running maxed out with vsync on, and usually stays right up there at 60.Not sure how this card compares to the competition as I haven't been paying attention to computer related hardware for a while, but I am happy with EVGA's RMA service and the performance considering I pretty much got a nice upgrade for free. Not all that much of an upgrade...
Comment:
I was expecting more from this card. I gave away my old 8600 GTS to a friend and picked up this card as a replacement and upgrade. I should have done more research, but this card is about equal in performance with the 8600GTS... thus, the GTS is a much better value IMO. The only upside is that Fallout 3 runs better with this card. Day of Defeat runs a tad slower.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:Not the fastest or best bang for buck

Pros:Quiet, single slot, not too long
Comment:
Needed a replacement for my x1900xt under Ubuntu, and ATI driver support was so crappy I was determined to go nvidia. AT 100$, this fit the bill nicely. Mostly for legacy gaming.

Great Product
Comment:
I was having problems running Crysis, Call of Duty World at War and Farcry 2 on my old graphics card and decided to upgrade. It was one of the best purchases I could have ever made. Not only did I get great performance and great looking graphics, the price was incredible. You would honestly think this card would be worth $200 or more. I now have bought 2 of these cards and love them. Thanks.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:Still not Crysis perfect

Pros:Bang for the bucks
Comment:
A good card that takes care of most games in the market today. Except for Crysis, which is still a measly 18-24 fps on a Core i7, all games run silky smooth. For the price, the card can't be beat, the Crysis smooth cards all run at least 50% more expensive.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:Display Driver crashes ALOT in vista.

Pros:Price is reasonable, decent performance.
Comment:
Might just be bad luck but the 9800gt I got is a total POS. The first few weeks I owned it I had zero issues. Then suddenly while gaming I'd get random blocking or colours shifting (yellows to blue, reds to greens, etc) and lockups with the monitor going into "sleep" mode. Dealing with EVGA they said my PSU was not outputting enough power to run the card under load. 140$ PSU later (which is TOTAL overkill for this system) and the card has only got worse. Snow on the screen, flickers of colours, complete system halts, BSODs, even blue streaks in the BIOS menu down my screen. Maybe I got unlucky and have a fryingfried chip, but I've seen more people with these issues online after some searching, some have driver issues, some hardware.Cheap price, but buyer beware. I've -never- purchased a bad EVGA geforce card before, in fact I'm now running my 7950gt while I wait on this RMA. But I won't in good concience ever buy another one of these 9800's.

Very nice video card. I bought it, and now can play almost all games. I can play Crysis on high, 1280 on 1024, with 8x AA. Runs with no lags, stays at about 40-45C. Thanks Tiger!

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Comment:
The hardest part of installing this card was hooking up the molex power connectors, that's how easy it is. Simple plug and play. Install the required drivers and you're looking at an amazing picture. The card handles any game I throw at it without any hiccups or overheating. As stated before, it runs mid-50 Celsius after extreme gaming. It runs cool and quiet but is large, possibly creating problems for some small form factor users. I had no problems in my ATX case at all. It cleared my side-mounted HD mounts by a couple of inches, even in SLI.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:extremely long, could barely fit inside my case

Pros:Great power, single slot cooler, lower power usage compared to similar cards, can run many games on max, quiet
Comment:
I upgraded to this card from an EVGA 7600 GT KO, which had faithfully supported me for years. When I tried fitting it in my Antec P180, it wouldn't fit with my hard drives where they are now. It took about half an hour to figure everything out, move everything around, but it's all in there now, albeit a bit tight around the power cables. In terms of performance, this card definitely delivers, I run Fallout 3 with everything maxed except for AA/AF at 1680x1050 at a great framerate. Dead Space also runs at 110FPS with everything maxed out, same with Mass Effect. If you have a big enough case to hold the card, this card has an excellent price/performance ratio, and it's a pretty cheap card. I've been suggesting it to all my cash-strapped friends in need of a graphics update.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Comment:
Runs perfect. Very quiet and runs relatively cool (about 55 celcius after gaming). No issues at all with this card and you cannot beat the performance for the price. I would like to pick up another to run SLI. Highly recommended.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:None.

Pros:Great value and cooling.
Comment:
This is a very good product if you don't want to spend for a GTX+. I would recommend EVGA and the cooling is better on this card than on other brand 9800GTs.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Comment:
Absolutely kick-ass card! Installed it in like 30sec, no issues whatsoever. This card is a little on the long side, so if you have a small-ish case you should take that into account. This runs WOW and FlyFF lag free at max settings with the anti-aliasing cranked all the way up. Definitely a good buy, especially if you want to run SLI.

upgraded from a 7600GT that was OCed. a whole world of a difference im lovin it. got it on sale for $140 now i can run cod4 at max and waw aswell. i dont have any games that will bog this thing down yet. but i havent tried crysis.this thing rocks now i wish i would of bought a SLI mobo so i could SLI this thing. But if you dont mind spending the extra $60 i suggest getting the GTX+ (i sort of wish i had) but this card still rocks IMOEDIT: and it does run crysis on "very high" settings at 1680x1050 with no AA and it looks amazing. EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:Won't buy it at a higher price as I feel the radeon 4850 is a better gfx card in that price range.

Pros:Fast. 2 DVI and Optical out. Good price at $119-mir. Hold its own with today's game. Managed to o/c it to 700mhz for now. I hope to squeeze out 750mhz once I get rid of the stock fan.
Comment:
Overall am pleased. Was thinking to get a cheap 8500gt. But for a few bux more this is clearly the better choice. Interestingly it replaces my old Radeon 9800. LOL!

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:Loud Fan

Pros:Haven't tested it to it's limits
Comment:
You will not really notice any kind of improvement unless you have a PCI express 2.0 motherboard.....So I haven't really tested this card to it's full potential. With 2.0 you will have twice the bandwidth. Right from the start the fan is loud. It also doesn't seem to do a particularly good job cooling the card. The EVGA software does allow you to overclock the card and control the fan to a certain extent. You will probably want to get an aftermarket fan right away if you buy this especially if you use your pc to watch movies etc. I managed to mod the card by taking off the cooler then separating the plastic fan and shroud from the aluminum heat sink. Then just using an old silent fan I had I wired that to the heat sink and put some new thermal paste and put it all back together. The fan has a three pin connector so you can't control the setting with the EVGA software and it runs at a constant speed. Now it is near silent.I tested it out and it runs the same or even a bit cooler then the stock fan. I maxed out the overclock settings for Bioshock, Half Life 2 and a Rally Car game. Old games I know. Only a slight improvement in frame rate. Remember this is all with PCI express 1. I will add more when I upgrade to a new PCI express 2 motherboard.

EVGA GeForce 9800 GT 512-P3-N973-TR Video Card
Cons:Not a specific weakness that I can tell. The only twoo minor things are, the cooling fan speed is not controlled by precision software unlike other EVGA Geforce 9800gt and do not use the driver on cd because it really suck! Download the driver from Evga or Nvidia web site.

Pros:I just bought this card today and so far it is incredible! I know it is little bit early to make comments but seems to be the excellent performance in the games I just tried plus in benchmarks.
Comment:
Buy this one. I upgraded from an low profile Sapphire Radeon HD 3450 to this one so the difference is ideally huge but this is the best bang for your buck in town anyway! You can NOT get a better Nvidia for $120+tax.Happy new year to everyone!
