EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 01G-P3-1370-TR Video Card
Comment:
- Small (if you're like me and have a mid-sized tower it's the ideal card!)- Cool (As other people stated, it runs 30C on idle and 50-55C below load, which are far more than acceptable!)- Quiet- Rapid (able to play each and every games with high or very high settings at 1680 x 1050 resolution)- Good bang for the bucks (I guess)- EVGA Precision 2. is a quite great computer software! (So far I've applied it only to monitor temperature and FPS, but it has a lot of other characteristics). - Needs 2 PCI-Express power connectors (not a dilemma for me mainly because my power supply has them, but definitely some thing to verify just before purchasing). At very first I wanted a 5850 but it was as well massive for my case, this is why I got this GTX 460 instead. So far I am really content with it! This is a genuine mid-range item, in the sense that it gives you extremely great performance at a decent value.I can say I am very satisfied with EVGA, I previously owned a 9600 GT for 2 years and I just upgraded to this GTX 460 1 GB. Extremely excellent upgrade! I should be excellent for a different 2 years. :)Private thoughts: I am disappointed by DirectX 11 so far. In reality, considering that the release of DX9, version 10 and 11 didn't bring a lot of new eye candy. Possibly on paper, but in the middle of a game you don't seriously notice them I guess. I feel you're greater off running a game in DX9 or 10 with anything maxed out, rather than DX11 with decreased settings. Nevertheless, I can say I've been able to run Metro 2033 in DX11 at 1680 x 1050 with high settings and get an typical 40 FPS, so this card is potent enough for DX11. Was even better in Dirt2 and AvP, got 60-70 FPS in DX11.

Comment:
Idles at 25C.Quiet till about 65% fan speed, even then its quieter than my old EVGA GTS 250 at 65% fan speed.Huge FPS improvements over the GTS 250.Brief. (Around eight.five inches)Got Hawx two and Mafia II for free per EVGA's upgrade on their web site. The energy cords plug into the rear of the card, so that adds to the length and could be a challenge for some folks. My box was a bit banged up, but the card was fine. Drivers for the Fermi still require some work, but everything appears stable for me. Efficiency is not what I expected in Bad Company 2 and Black Ops, but that is due to the games themselves. Once again, efficiency is much better than just before.

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 01G-P3-1370-TR Video Card
Comment:
Good card. This design enables to card to run substantially cooler than the stock reference intended cards. The fan does not even turn into audible over case fans till about 70 percent and even then it's extremely quiet. Idle temps are 29-31C, beneath complete load in between 50-55C at 60% fan speed. 1GB version has far more cuda cores, additional memory, and larger memory bandwidth so it handles larger resolutions considerably superior than it's 768MB predecessor. More than clocks incredibly nicely, can effortlessly get this above stock gtx470 levels without having losing low temps and stability. At 1920x1080 Res. on all max settings and ambient occlusion turned on good quality I get 70fps typical in MW2, 60fps average in Bad Firm two, 140fps typical COD4, haven't tested any other individuals just however. Ambient Occlusion in nvidia control panel will drop your fps a decent bit but it tends to make games look completely remarkable! Unigine Heaven two.1 benchmark on all maximum settings 1920x1080 res. gets a minimum of 7.2 fps, 41.6fps max, 13fps average. Complete DX11 Appears SO AMA Honestly none, this card is rock strong and well worth it's cost. The 1GB version is absolutely the way to go for greater resolutions. The included EVGA control tools are quite valuable. Card was absolutely stable on newest 260.63 Beta drivers. This card pulls about 𞳆W of energy at idle, 𞴪W at complete load, these cards in SLI pull about 𞷲-470W of energy at full load. It is also not very large, substantially smaller sized than even my old XFX 4850 XXX edition was. Buying the overclocked version of this is pointless, you can do it yourself so easily with EVGA's tools and it's totally stable and save dollars. Go get the newest drivers and EVGA software program on the internet, don't waste your time with the CD stuff, way outdated.Technique it's operating in:Core i7 920EVGA x58 tri-SLI LE MoboOCZ 6GB DDR3 1600MHZ triple channelEVGA GTX 460 1GBAntec Earthwatts 750W PSUWD Caviar black 1TB HDDRunning on a 1920x1080P 23" Asus LED backlit display

Operates excellent, for a brief period of time. I not too long ago purchased TWO Evga GTX 460s for the SLI combo. Worked for a week or two than I began getting issues with a game freezing up. I reinstalled drivers and reinstalled SLI settings. Worked fine up until now. Each game I have freezes at the load up screen. From what I can read it's only a matter of time just before my OS starts freezing up, I'm tryin to return them but not certain if I can now that its 30 days soon after I purchased it. Biggest let down.

Outstanding cooling. With stock clock speed, I can run Kombustor (Furmark) without finding to 70 degrees-and that's on 60% fan! No difficulties at all. None On my micro-ATX motherboard, it's wide enough that I can't put anything in the standard (not x16) PCI slot with no blocking its intake. Much more the motherboard's fault even though.

Games look excellent. I get great FPS. I can't play games for much more than 15 minutes, and that's with year old drivers. The modern drivers crash almost everything within 3 minutes. Wish I was nonetheless in the return window when I figured out it was the card's fault, not mine.

-Great for overclocking (and warranty covers OC harm!)-Tiny (compared to its huge brothers)-Quiet -I hear these issues scale in SLi fairly nicely. Too bad it only has one particular SLi bridge.-The reference cooler style isn't as effective as the designs discovered on other dual-slot Nvidia cards. I really feel like it's Fermi's version of the 8800GT... I loved that card so substantially.

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 01G-P3-1370-TR Video Card
Comment:
1 of the lowest priced GTX 460 1GB's on the market. Reference fan style is significantly quieter than the External Exhaust model EVGA also makes use of. Cost-free Efficiency Enhance gives a lot more fan control and makes this the fastest "budget" 460 1GB at the 超 cost point. Mine worked fine for two days, then began artifacting heavily in 3d applications for no apparent reason. Driver install was clean, OS install was relatively fresh. Just one morning, BAM. 2d mode continued to perform fine, but 3d was wacked. Couldn't even get passed the WoW login screen without having almost getting a seizure. RMA'd this card back to the vendor and had an MSI Hawk cross-shipped. Not going to waste any a lot more time with EVGA. Sorry guys, but initial impressions and all that.

Functions see other thoughts. Rebate taking forever to process (a month and they still have not released the "card"). (Not neweggs fault). There is an option to rush order your rebate, but you generally give up half of the rebate amount undertaking so. Runs SC2 on ultra/extreme at 1920x1080 with an old Athlon x2 6400+be (which I envision would be a big bottleneck)Soon to upgrade my method to an intel platform so I must be seeing even much better results out of this child.

To state is merely... This card is Good. The card eats just about every game i throw at it. Im running COD MW2 at 1920x1080 on highest settings and i have no concern at all . I get a steady 50-70 fps on all maps. I upgraded from a nvidia 9500 gt 1gb. The difference is huge. this card comes with two dvi port and a mini dvi port which is cool. The card compared to others is smaller . fits in my midsize case effortlessly. EVGA has some good overclocking software also. this card provides me the most efficiency for the cash. There are other cards that have comparible efficiency but none that have comparible rates. I have this card now for 3 days. My daughter plays continuously on it and I just downloaded Stalker:Call of Pritpyat. Stalker looks awesome, superior than with my HD 4870 on the other pc. No lag at all, quite smooth transitions. I noticed even though playing Stalker the fan speed started to increase by itself. The noise became really noticeable. I'm not positive if this is regular or if there is something wrong with my card. Can any individual confirm ? There's no doubt in my mind of the improvement more than the X1950 Pro it replaced. I also have a second method operating on an HD 4870 and it also feels better although not as evident as the distinction with the initially card mentioned. Certainly DX11 does make a distinction.

This is my second EVGA GTX 460. I use them both in SLI in order to give a second life to my first one that was bought about 8 months ago. While the performance and look are great, the price is not exactly its strong point. I managed to price match it to 160$ (while it was not on special) which made the deal a little better. I wouldn't buy it a full price considering you can get much better in the 200$-220$ price range. Still a good card when on special.Won't go over performances as you can find them in any benchmark on the web ;)

-Tiny card compared to my gtx 260.-Runs quiet.-Runs cool.-Runs games extremely nicely.-I also like the looks of this gtx 460 as opposed to the offerings of other businesses.-EVGA precision is also a nice bonus. None. Please do not rate the hardware poorly here on Newegg mainly because you have difficulties receiving the drivers to function on some random operating program. I get so sick and tired of seeing horribly accomplished reviews by hacks. User error FTL...

They show a big score in vantage, and in really low res games it can't be beat. do not even try playing games at 1900x1200 on these factors. SC2 was unplayable on ULTRA with two of these cards in SLI, HIGH settings was playable, but so was HIGH with just 1 card, so with SLI in play, there really wasn't considerably distinction, possibly stable frames, but thats about it. I had 1 GTX 470 that could play on ultra without having a hicup, two of these cards in SLI ought to play it just fine. Very dissapointed, specially right after all the reviews and praise it gets for getting such a spending budget card. Either due to SLI poor encoding, or just FERMI itself, I have not been impressed with cards that have come out by Nvidia due to the fact the 8800 gtx Ultra. For some reason, the 400 series all have a difficulty, and i mean ALL have a issue with texture rendering, exactly where framerates will dip to the sub 10's when viewing a specific part of a game exactly where the textures failed to load properly. I am not impressed to say the least, and the 500 series is no different. SLI technology has been out for how long? I mean come on, we sent a man to the moon in the 60's, how freakin hard is it to get SLI to work correctly?
