I got this free with the purchase of a Engenius ESR-9752 router. Installation in an old 2600+ Windows XP home machine was simple. I just ran the executable on the disk and the adapter worked perfect first try. I connect to the router at 270Mbps, and that's on a different floor, with furnace ducts in between the router and adapter, about 25 feet away.The signal strength is excellent, and it doesn't waver from 270Mbps. I would purchase this adapter again, and likely will on my next NCIX order. |

works like a charm and for the price I don't see how this can be beat. I do recommend NOT installing the egenius software. Install the driver only and let XP control it, otherwise each time you log on a new user it restarts the connection and you loose the connection other users had. |

I bought this for a desktop that I'm building, but decided to test it out on my notebook to make sure it wasn't DOA. I plugged it in and it worked flawlessly (Windows 7 64bit, RC 7100). It even picked up networks that I've never seen before, and signal strengths were higher for ones that are normally low. Would definitely buy this again.
