Great Product
Comment:
I have to say that this product performs very well. I have puchased several over the last year. So far none have failed. I'm broadcasting internet over 13 miles point to point with a 30dbi grid attached. Have to have line of sight, but man do they work good. You do have to be knowlegable in wireless networking to an extent to set up. On another note if you don't like the software that comes with it you can install dd-wrt software. Love it.

Trees
Comment:
I bought a couple of these to transmit through 500 feet of fairly dense trees. It made it, barely, not that I expected a 2.4 GHz signal to do well but it did work. Price was good, quality was good. Prepurchase question to their support was answered promptly. I could see that if a person was not familiar with wireless networks they could have problems since it's difficult to make a device like this plug and play.

worked as expected
Comment:
I was very happy with the product. Once I figured out the mode that I wanted (one set to access pt and the other set to bridge)...I had strong signal strength about 750 meters apart...awesome! You certainly have to be knowledgeable in networking...not for the newbie!

works good, tricky setup
Comment:
I had some trouble with the first instructions. They were correct, but did not explain why you had to set it up that way and it did not make sense to me. I have 25 years experience in large computers and networks but have been out of the biz. for the last 10 years, so I had some catching up to do. It works just fine although I wish I had uped the power a bit. Maybe I will revisit the setup to see if I can when the users are away for the season, it services a small campground.

Great product at a terrific price!
Comment:
I have bought and set up 6 of the Engenius EOC-2610's in the last year and all work great, even after several HUGE lightning storms. Setup is SO much easier than competitor 'U', which I gave up on and settled for the Engenius brand. I have set up an AP/Bridge pair at 2 places between buildings and as AP only to get to commercial buildings on the property away from the main office at 2 places. These were within the CAT5 cable limit of 328 feet but both buildings were metal or metal-roofed and past experience with severe lightning in this area (NW Alabama) tells me hanging a CAT5 'Lighning Rod' between metal buildings in a no-no! Sure CAT5 is cheap but labor's not and these go in FAST!

Easy to set up
Comment:
We use this for a neighborhood wireless internet system. Easy to setup and the the earlier models from engenius - the 3610 and 3220's have been very reliable, with no downtime at all over a year except planned or inadvertent power failures. Only real note on this model is that while rated outdoor, the connections are inside a snap over plate. Will see how it makes it thru the winter windy rains. Good thing is you don't need to make a cable after making the seal. The earlier versions had a more secure but more difficult system - the seal was around the 5e cable and could not be completed with the rj45 jack crimped on.

Great power/product/features....weak instructions
Comment:
I was very glad to see the increased power output to 600mw and smaller footprint from previous EOC ext 400mw version. I am using this for IP camera install about 800 feet away. The POE and the combined features make this device a great value. External antenna connection is located in a more weather proof location(on bottom)and a slide cover protects the wiring somewhat from the elements. Both EOC-2610's shipped with latest firmware installed. We mounted remote bridge in another, more weather proof, enclosure for added peace of mind, and the AP side mounted directly to pole with included clamp. CONS--Instructions from Engenius have always left me wanting more and my experience this time was no different. I would like to see a more interactive connectivity and signal strength light for long range pointing... All in all great cheap product that accomplished everything I needed for this install.

3550ft plus
Comment:
We bought 2 of these. One of the 2 performed very poorly. However, the second 2610, mounted on a 25ft mast had no problem sending a quality signal over 3,500ft. The POE (power over ethernet) feature is a plus. The GUI is very nice, but not for the faint of heart. Adjustable power output and range are nice features also. Overall, we have had very good luck with the Engenius product line.

Outstanding Product
Comment:
I have used other engenius products in the past, but this one it best of them all. The features and easiness of installation makes this product an excellent value at any price.

Good value when it works
Comment:
I've used this model before at various client sites, but the last two I purchased just did not work. One would just stop transmitting and would require a reset. The other I could not even get into the web configuration screen. Other EOC-2610's I've purchased, I've had problems with them (as access points). Clients could connect wirelessly, but could not access the LAN they were connected to. Resetting the EOC-2610 would fix the problem, temporarily. Then days later, the same thing. They are nice access points, and the price is good, but maybe the price is TOO good to have a reliable AP?

Good price, Adequate connection
Comment:
I set this up to connect to a wireless camera, the first connection was strong. A week later, I noticed the signal strength wasn't as strong as when it was first connected. I'm only connecting 150 ft, I don't see how it would go the 1km it is rated for though.
