Value, decent board layout, has the legacy ports (printer and serial) that quite a few other boards tend to leave off. It wasn't tough to install in my total atx case and it recognized my AthlonX2 7750 Kuma processor. The By means of HD audio drivers will not install in XP if you have sp3 installed, rather install the audio drivers just before putting in sp3 for XP. BUT, they will continue to function right after sp3 has been installed. This lead to several hours of frustration just before I figured it out.Foxconn's help website is buggy at best. instead of looking for help directly from the internet site, use google to find the web page for you. Even then I had to go back to google and click their link once again, soon after the web page quit responding and gave me a database error message right after a couple of downloads. Also I had to manually configure my ram's voltage, speed, and timings. I really wish I could give this board a 3 and a half eggs as an alternative of 3, it hasn't failed me yet, all my issues have been computer software connected. But due to the driver challenge I had and the manufacture's internet site, I can't give it all 4 eggs.

So I liked this motherboard right away. It had almost everything I wanted which wasn't substantially. I wanted to maintain my old Athlon 64 X2, my DDR2 800 and I just necessary to have a PCI x1 above the PCI x16. So the install was super fast and effortless and all of the BIOS alternatives had been exciting to tinker with. The gigabit ethernet is amazing and the PCI 2. and far better bridges actually improved my windows scores for memory and graphics by .two. The Foxconn support web page happened to be down currently and I wanted to just update every thing. I'm annoyed as I was on the web site already a couple of days ago and didn't just download them then when I bought the mobo. So minus the egg. Also this has the obvious con's I knew about going into the buy, it only supports DDR2 and only has 2 dimm's. Oh effectively. Actually bought this so I could use a PCI x1 television tuner card and maintain completely every little thing else the similar.

-Inexpensive-Trusted-Excellent BIOS-Simple-Supports AM2/AM2+/AM3 CPU's-Supports SATA and IDE PATA-Supports 2.2v Kingston Hyper X DDR2 at 1066Hz-Small-Did I mention affordable?-Great Manual-Good Box as well Not seriously cons but:-Parallel port?.. why?-serial port?.. once again why?-PS2 ports... eh.. I'd prefer additional USB's- four pin board Sysfan This is a great board, I had my doubt cuz I in no way heard of Foxconn but figured for the price tag it wouldn't hurt to attempt it on a budget computer build. Boy was I shocked. Excellent top quality, Good BIOS as effectively as some good functions. This factor booted up with a socket AM3 AMD Athlon II X3 2.7GHz Triple core no dilemma. Ram (Kingston Hyper X 1066Hz) was getting utilized at 800Hz at first, easy BIOS adjustment allowed it to use complete 1066Hz no dilemma, entirely stable. CPU was reasonably simple to overclock but chose not to, it's a spending budget computer not a gaming rig.All in all fantastic bang for the buck, amazing small board DOES assistance AM3 cpu's and 1066Hz DDR2... performs nicely with Windows 7. Will most absolutely obtain Foxconn once again in the future.. the Manual/diagram of the board was also incredibly comprehensive and amazing. Was effortless to connect the front panel LED/POWER.

big bus speed for price tagthis board has lots of points that the 100 dollars boards have.lots of nice computer software bios has tons of settings the chip set runs a tiny hot 50c idle 70c max load, but fixable I removed the heat sinks with a pair of Needle Nose and it had some sort of pink bubble gum on em (sticky stuff) had to use alcohol 90% and a razer to get it off .then replace it with some ac Mx-two paste.now it run idle 30c and 42c beneath load. .come on foxconn you make all this good application, bios and fbs and then stick gum in it.....buy some pasteplace a 7550 2.5x2 in and runs ide at 21c under max load 38c

I have no idea why, and I am wondering what can I do with this. Randomly it started to shut off in the course of games, on startup, and watching motion pictures.

I've assembled a lot of Computer's and typically use ASUS boards. On the other hand, immediately after a couple 939 board faulures? I had to replace them with Foxconns due to restricted availablity. So far they have been fantastic! Stable and excellent bios adjustability for OCer's I purchased this board for a straightforward develop for some freinds, whose DELL took a dirt nap. I install four Gs of G-Skill 1066 at set at 2.0v AMD 5600 x2, 250g seagate. Applied the onboard ATI video. This machine Ran like a champ! Silky Smooth, and plenty fast for the new owners... I don't care for onboard video, Sound, and so on. I also don't care for Micro ATX boards for me. But? in this case? I was attempting to build a good machine on a tight budget, as weel as claiming tiny true estate in an workplace. These are not cons truly, but my preferance. I didn't uncover any actual cons for a spending budget machine build. for 蹉 I replaced a dead Dell p4 2.8g 80g HD 512 ram. with an AMD machine including a 19" Acer monitor. The new owners were thrilled with it! I'd suggest this board to a freind.

Extremely very good price for what you get. Has most everything you can need to have to create a mid range machine. Runs stable for weeks at a time. Up 22 days as of writing and last reboot was just for kernel updates. Only two RAM SlotsOnly 1 PCI-E 16x SlotDoesn't assistance high power CPUsNot DDR3 CPU: AMD 4850eRAM: Kingston 2gb DDR2 800HDD: 10x 1.5TB Seagate RAID6 + 1 Hot Spare + OS DriveSATA: SIL 2x External ESATA + two SIL ESATA to 5 SATA port multipliersWorking with this as a Linux NAS server operating Ubuntu 9.04 Server w/ Software RAID6. This point can reach LAN speeds of 80MBytes/sec to my media computer. GFX card is overkill for what I will need but extremely good obtaining it integrated as an alternative of utilizing an expansion slot.

Reasonably priced, yadda yadda yeah Developing fileserver for experienced client. We've waited a week for it to get here (UPS rule!) just to find none of the USB ports work. At this point, RMA isn't helping anyone. The client's going to pay me for a easy fileserver and wait 2.five-3 weeks for me to build it? I don't consider so. So now it's going to the client with aborted USB functionality and i'll replace the board later with some thing manufactured by a person other than Foxconn. I know this wasn't qc tested. How it could get by QC with no a single functional USB port is effectively beyond me.

Stable, feature wealthy, booted on initial try, low-cost Wrestled with drivers for onboard devices for WinXP Replaced an Asrock motherboard I purchased from Newegg. In contrast to Asrock board, this Foxconn booted up on initial try and recognized SATA tricky disk, DVD-RW, AMD CPU and 1066 memory appropriate away. On the other hand, I like to get the most current drivers from OEM's internet web page, and the WinXP drivers were confusing. (Note: If you want to use WinXP, download the chipset drivers for WinXP. They incorporate the drivers for onboard video.) Onboard video, onboard audio, onboard NIC are nice; sufficient connections (and then some) for almost everything you will will need for spending budget build. Bottom line: This is a fantastic value, and I can't envision a superior price range option. Would buy again and advise to good friends.

Really nice capabilities for an inexpensive Athlon X2 develop, upgradeable and expandable with x16, x1, 2 PCI, 4 USB in rear and added three USB on board. Makes use of DDR2 which has faster timing than DDR3. Has 'legacy' assistance for PATA so you can transfer from older HDD's or use OD's. Doesn't accept Antec situation HDD LED light socket - had to cut wires and manually stick then on the pins. Doesn't accept CoolerMaster Elite PS four-pin PS socket (ridiculous for such a long--time standard) ... had to cut rim off 4-pin socket to fit. Board freezes up in five minutes streaming Netflix, freezes up in 1ǘ hour playing MP3's. Board didn't recognize Mushkin memory speed or voltage. Only came with 1 SATA cable. Can't re-install drivers from CD if your MS .NET is upgraded. FoxConn assistance is exceptional beyond any expectations, but no answer could be identified. RMA'd board for MSI.

I built a budget machine for my wife to perform on a project and required to shave a handful of further dollars. I normally acquire ASUS boards, but I looked around for a board that would help the AMD Phenom chips. I ran into this board and had under no circumstances heard of Foxconn so I was hesitant at 1st till I read reviews of other boards they made and it appeared that they had excellent evaluations so I thought what the heck.I have to admit that it has worked marvelously so far. I'm not the OC'ing type so I don't know what it's capable of that way. But so far it has been a solid, stable board for the cost. Wish it would have four RAM slots instead of two, but for โ I actually can't complain and just works. PCI-X crowds a single of the PCI slots.Driver CD setup a tiny wonky. If you're searching for a decent board and looking to save a couple of $, Foxconn is certainly a good substitute. I'll undoubtedly appear at their board much more seriousl in the future. The specs of my wife's machine:OS: Vista Organization x64Case - RAIDMAX|ATX-868WBP BLK 420W RTProc - AMD Penom X3 8650 2.3G AM2RAM - Patriot Viper 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800HD - SeaGate 640G|ST 7K 32M Mobo - FOXCONN A76ML-K AM2+/AM3 760GGraphics - EVGA 256-P2-N761-TR 8600GTS RT

....with this Tiny mobo. Never ever installed a Micro-ATX just before. Extremely impressed with FSB speed. SETUP utility is fairly comprehensive. Handled all the drives (and 2 GB memory) I threw at it. None Just a small niggly complaint: manual (though generally very good) could have been a tiny better at explaining some SETUP alternatives, such as those for fan control.

Initial board came in DOA, even immediately after going to the hospital, and not finding back to newegg till soon after the 30 day refund, they were gracious enough to spend to ship the board back, and replace it, no charge to me. Second board booted correct up. Only been operating it for a couple of days, and without net at my property testing my stressful games out on it, is not feasible however. It does however play Starcraft, Sid Mier's Civilization IV, and Black Ops just fine with just neighborhood machine. Can't wait to see if I can burn it up on the internet. Other than the first getting DOA absolutely nothing significantly to complain about. My 1st order was for a different named mobo that fits ATX, was way too huge to fit my atx tower, the second board was the DOA Foxconn, which is a micro ATX which fits my tower but doesn't use the complete backing for the mobo. I guess its just an oddball sized tower or maybe the choice of boards was oddball.
