It's working fine so far, and it total's the memory upgrade for my pc. Total 4gigs. 2g Buffalo and 2g G.Ability. All the identical specs recomended by motherboard maufacturer. MSI K9A2 Platinum. 1 of the stix was clearly utilised. Also the other stick read as a diverse portion number than ordered (despite the sticker lable). Following seeking on the G.Ability web-site #(F2-6400CL5S-1GBNQ) the heat shield had been removed and the specs on the voltages had been diverse. 1.8vǘ.0v I was expecting new parts, identicle to what I ordered. Fantastic value, effortless install, works with no any complications, GSkill tech support was incredibly valuable. Fairly dang cheap, but that's not saying substantially seeing as DDR3 is lastly coming into it's own. One of the two I bought was a faulty stick out of the box. Occasionally causes POST to hang on memcheck. Having under no circumstances had this difficulty before (I guess I've been very lucky) I didn't assume to maintain the packaging materials in case I needed to RMA anything. Anyways, letting my BIOS deal with every little thing (AUTO) it commonly works, but it's operating at 667 vice the advertised 800. Bumping it up to advertised speeds consistently causes an endless failed POST boot-loop. I assume I'll be going with yet another brand when I do my AM3/DDR3 build in a couple months... I've built 3 systems with two gigs of this stuff and all perform flawlessly and pass memory testing with no difficulties. None 10 bucks per gig of ddr2 800.. c'mon there's no cause not to have a couple of of these in your spending budget create method.don't bother trying to overclock this stuff. That's not what it was built for.

Purchased two sticks of this RAM about two years ago and it worked wonderful. No problems at all with it so I just lately purchased 2 much more to give me 4GB. 1 of the sticks I purchased lately failed inside a week, but newegg RMA'd it swiftly and paid shipping each approaches. Technique runs excellent now with the replacement. My older sticks are double sided though my newer sticks are single sided which is cool.

Booted initially try at default speeds. No errors and runs excellent just as I expect from G. Skill ram No heat spreaders but hey for the price its not a big deal.

Excellent RAM for any method truly. None, works excellent. Though I originally bought this for my XP program my intel board turned out to take a unique pin number, so I gave it to my brother who was updating his new Vista system RAM anyway. Just be sure to check what pin your mobo takes prior to you purchase. www.essential.com assists alot, run a system test.

Operating wonderful and doing its job perfectly as what I expected for my obtain. Popped it appropriate in and fired it up and this comp recognized it instantly at the rated speed. Going with G.SKILL for my next purchase for my new construct thats in progress...RIPJAWS...oh yeah! So...I should advise G.SKILL RAM at the moment.If their affordable stuff works this superior...envision how nicely their excellent stuff will run.Obtain this RAM,its inexpensive and does what its supposed to. none...but its only been in this laptop or computer for a week so far...running 24ǝ...FYI.On another con note unrelated: reviewers need to post their set-ups so other people know what is compatible with similar hardware/software,producers,ect,ect...it would be a larger support in most circumstances possibly...thanks. This was added to a stock HP Slimline s3500z computer giving it a total of two gigs RAM.OS is Vista...not a killer comp but works decent for Farmville and web surfing...a lot faster now with 2 gigs rather of one...the ex-wife is happier now.Me too.Newegg is the very best like always!No dissapointments and fast shipping!I buy all my stuff from Newegg for my systems and builds!Thanks once again for a good job well carried out Newegg!

created an old dell run like new once more... you cant eat the chips 3Dmark 2001 score went from 860 to 11650... but what can you anticipate running win7 32bit on 256mb of ram.... distinction is literally night and day. taught my parents what ram did too lol
