Quite quick, reliable, and simple. I consider the heat spreader is a bit excessive. Make confident you eliminate the plastic covering from the ram prior to you install it.

I bought two of these because they match the specs of previous 1 Gig Gskill memory sticks I purchased, F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ from Newegg over a year ago. I upgraded to Win 7 64 House Premium and now I have 2 of those older 1 gig Gskills and 2 of the newer Gskills 2 Gig sticks for a total of 6 gigabytes which the OS now sees. I placed the 2 gig sticks in memory slots 1 and 2 and left the 2, 1 gig sticks in slots three and 4.I'm going to take those 2 excess 1 gig sticks and construct a HTPC box for my HDTV. None. Popped them in and was excellent to go. There is cheaper memory out there to be certain but memory is some thing I don't gamble on. It has to be dependable. MB they are in is a Gigabyte MA770-UD3 running with an AMD two.6 ghz quad cpu. Everybody's happy.

Marked improvement in RAM performance (vista x64, motherboard ASUS M2N78-LA). Superficially the RAM looks excellent - suitable for display situations. Low-cost. Ordered 3x 2GB sticks Ƒ 2x2GB and 1 1x2GB). Began getting BSODs at random occasions (within ten minutes) of starting Pc. Noted BIOS reconfigured to Computer-5300 (supposed to be Computer-6400). Did typical 1 stick at a time testing. Narrowed it down to the 1x2GB stick, which is apparently poor.Caused such instability in the program that Windows lost my User Profile information - generally trashed my user account, so I had to make another account and start more than. Almost certainly my own fault for not setting a restore point ahead of upgrade - but nevertheless annoying. Memory was really hot following only a couple of minutes of operation. I have faith - I've ordered a replacement rather than a refund - so we'll see how it goes with the new stick. If the new one is negative, I'll be returning all 3 sticks for a refund and switching to a new manufacturer.RMA by means of newegg was simple (as everybody knows). Don't let this stop you from acquiring GSKILL - stated before I am content with the working sticks. It looks like they have a two-3% fault rate (based on evaluations), which is probably not poor considering how inexpensive it is. Bought four of these poor boys for my P5N-E SLI and Vista x64 is now a happy camper. I use it for lots of stuff, gamming, sotfware development, VMware (running three instances of Server 2008 with 2GB every...) none I've lately been receiving random BSODs throughout use and during boot-up. Messages are, for the most part, random in nature creating trouble shooting challenging. I tested each and every stick individually with memtest86 and located 1 stick failing every single test (it also BSOD my vista, by itself, on every boot-up) RMAing... Functions Excellent. None. I'm only employing 1 2GB stick for my HTPC that's running windows 7. No troubles at all. Win7 utilizes approx 650MB so 2GB is a lot more than sufficient. I'd advise additional if you strategy to game or do something that demands modestly intensive computing.

Performs precisely as advertised for me. Never ever had any ram-related issues None I bought two sticks of this for a rig I built a year ago, and it's still going powerful in spite of all I do on it. It may well not be the best breed of ram on the market place now, but if you need this form, look no further.

Quickly, effortless to OC with 5-five-5-15 timings. Nonetheless, soon after two weeks of use, my machine was locking up rapidly. I narrowed it down to 1 of 4 sticks poor. I am going via RMA procedure, but it is now two weeks into the method, and I have not heard a word from them. I followed the right RMA approach. As I see from the posting in here, there are responses. Please! respond Also, there was a rebate supply that was not followed by means of by G. Skill. With no telephone get in touch with (I attempted calling various occasions and left messages), I am acquiring myself not so satisified. Asus does not have G.Skill in their Qualified Vendors List. It does specifically what it says, and I can run tons and tons of stuff just before my computer system would even believe about beginning to slow down. I stuck four of these on my Gigabyte board with an AMD Phenom II X4 940 3. GHZ quad core, fastest computer I've ever owned. Good RAM. If you're going to construct a gaming computer or anything where you require a lot of RAM, surely use these. Totally none. Come with heat spreaders already applied to the RAM. Don't invest in aftermarket ones. They also made installation exceptionally simple. ^_^

I got a pair of these from Newegg to use in a recent laptop or computer build on a Gigabyte mobo and a Q8400 C2Quad processor. The memory performed wonderful out of the box with the default settings.Oh - and it looks wonderful, if you are into that. The heat spreaders have nice diamond cut decorations and branding on them generating them look good but realistically even if you have a window on your case it's not definitely that visible. Memory performs fantastic on my install of Win7 64Bit. None These are retail boxed with the standard lifetime warranty and a nice little GSkill sticker to go on your case if you are so inclined.

runs fantastic in single channel, stable, cool looking heatsink! at least in my motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H), it doesn't run in dual channel, in reality won't even run when two sticks are together, every stick works excellent separately, but together, no go! will most likely use in a different system, 4 eggs just mainly because of my mobo Manufacturer Response:.Dear customerThank you for your useful feedback. we will pass this message to GigabyteThank youGSKILL SUPPORTExcellent and customer service are our leading priorities.Tech Support E-mail: ustech@gskill.comG.SKILL Forum: http://www.gskill.com
