Comment:
Run's actually great when it's operating properly. My computers never been quicker! Error's out all the time. Since installing it a few day's ago I've had about 10-15 blue screens. I purchased a new HDD at the similar time but have error checked the disk 10 unique techniques and they all come back typical so that only leaves one other selection. From what I've read of other negative evaluations what I'm experiencing is the norm for poor sticks of this RAM. Guess it's time to call newegg...on Monday. Based on the efficiency when it's operating I'd actually still like to use G Abilities...I would just like some RAM that works... Manufacturer Response:.Dear ConsumerWe sincerely apologize about this problem. Please send it in for RMA and the replacement kit really should work superior. Cons:Not sure how effective the fins on the ripjaws are at cooling

Pros:FastCheapReliable
Comment:
I've used many different brands of ram (G.Skill, Corsair, Kingston, Azen, Crucial, etc) I find that the G.Skill ram provideds the best bang for your buck. I would definitely recommend g.skill if your looking at a budget build. Not sure on how effective the "fins" on the ripjaws are at cooling but they definitely look cool.

G.SKILL F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL Ripjaws 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9-24 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:big silly heat spreader fins on the top

Pros:No memory issues, memtest is clean, nothing spectacular to speak of.
Comment:
It's DDR3-1333 RAM. It works. No memory issues, memtest is clean, nothing spectacular to speak of.The heat spreader was more of a pain than I was expecting, since my motherboard places the CPU and RAM close enough together that the fins on the spreaders were interfering with my CPU heatsink. They're not stuck on too hard, though. I unhooked the two sides of the fins with a screwdriver, heated the module under a heatlamp, and then carefully pulled the spreaders apart. I would have preferred not to do that though; I seriously doubt the fins are there for any reason other than appearance.

Cost 1 DOA stick. This is the 5th PC I've built recently, and 2 of them have had a poor stick of G.Skill. Those odds aren't good sufficient for me. I stated right after the last RMA that I wouldn't buy their memory once again, but I gave them an additional opportunity -- and they failed miserably. Time to return them as a pair and admire my new 񘋰 dust collector in the mean time. These are *supposedly* tested? HOW? The PC turns on for 1-two seconds and then off, over and more than with the poor stick in it. Runs flawless with only 1 chip. This memory was even on the approved list for the Gigabyte MB; which is why I chose it. Now I suppose I'll get the regular canned G.Skill response about how these units are infact tested, are warrantied for a lifetime, yadda yadda. came sort of fast, three days to travel 40 miles. Bad stick of RAM. BSOD, ran Mem test and showed 1 stick was poor. Used to be GSkill was pretty solid. Not for me any longer. G.SKILL F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL Ripjaws 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9-24 240PIN DIMM Memory
Cons: -Nothing

Pros: -They work.-They look good.-Price
Comment:
I only bought there for the price because frankly RAM speed doesn't change anything at all. They were the cheapest at the time(excluding the ones with MIR's which I avoid). I suggest this RAM, or whatever is the cheapest at the time, to absolutely everyone in the world who wants to run 8GB, with very, very few exceptions. And if you happen to be an exception because you use obscure software which actually makes use of faster RAM, of course this doesn't apply to you :)

Pros: Basic ram at good price. Nice if you like red lol.
Comment:
Well what can you say - it is basic 9-9-9-924 ram. It does in fact work on AM3 systems - as others have said the package shows it - so it would be good to make this more obvious in the website description. I haven't tried over clocking it but the rep is that it isn't good for that - fine not what I bought it for!

Cons: CAS latency

Pros: Looksprice8gb
Comment:
No problems here and not a lot to say. It is great looking memory at a great price. Worked without a hitch in an asus P7P55D-E LX motherboard running windows 7. Only real problem is if you are a diehard computer fan who has to have every part as fast as possible. CAS of 9 is by no means the fastest out there, but you still get more than you pay for in my opinion.

In the past, I have always used Mushkin for my personal builds and OCZ for everything else. This time, I was shopping for 16Gb of RAM for my Intel DP55KG and I happened upon G.Skill, a brand that I have never tried before. I had heard good things about G.Skill, but 4x4Gb sticks will challenge the best of memory for stability. Hoping for the best, I picked up two kits to use in my new build. I used one stick for the OS install, upgraded the BIOS to the latest one and then populated the other 3 slots for a total of 16Gb.There was absolutely no problems at POST and the memory is accurate and stable. Any company that can give me 16Gb of stable memory has got my business. Highly recommended!

I was a little hesitant to run 8GB in a Gigabyte board, considering I had problems before. However, this runs without any BIOS tweaking required. Plug it in and it works.
