1. Cheaptwo. OC's well3. heatsinks not so tall 1. None I waited on reviewing till I proved these did work. They got me over 4Ghz with no crashes on Prime95! Not undesirable for 1600, 1.6V memory. Stable with Asus mobo, see beneath. No the best in specs but did the job at 150 bucks anyway. Good function GSkill, you guys convinced me! Note: Possibly very best to get a Ram cooler if you are going that high, I will. Runs at rated speed without having concerns. Heatsinks are sturdy and aren't also tall (won't interfere with my CPU cooler). None Pushed to 1.64v and running virtually complete speed (timing set to 1T) with stock latency runs like a champ! My 4th G.Ability acquire and I'm impressed with their quality every time!

Performance, value, good quality brand name, what a lot more could you ask for? None, and there never ever will be. The only point I can think of is maybe some troubles with aftermarket RAM coolers, but who cares. It's G.Ability! G.Skill is a phenomenal brand, their tech support is remarkable (Don't think me? Look at the critiques on any G.Ability product, their support staff functions like crazy to resolve any issues anybody mentions) and their product just works. As far as I'm concerned, G.Skill has no true competition.

runs cool and it functions knocked off two eggs simply because I definitely could NOT get this ram set to 1600mhz and all of my tests read that the ram I received is 1333mhz cas 9! not 1600mhz cas 8! I would RMA, but it does what I want it to so I won't nitpick. I strategy to upgrade in the future, whether or not it is g.skill or not depends much more on the price. I may have received the wrong ram, but it works as intended and it didn't actually result in me significantly grief. Manufacturer Response:.Dear BuyerWe are sorry to hear you were unable to operate this memory to specification. This memory is above the typical, so you will will need to manually set the frequency, timings, and voltage in BIOS in order for it to work adequately. Runs as advertised devoid of so much as a hiccup. Due to the 1st couple initial runs just right after my method build, I can confirm the memory nevertheless runs at 1.65V, in spite of being rated for 1.6V. Either way, the program detects all 6GB with the bus voltage set to 1.601V, speed at 1600MHz, and timings at 8-8-8-24-1N. I also temporarily set the RAM to run at 1700MHz even though testing a speedy CPU more than-clock for 1 hour, and it ran flawlessly, but I didn't feel like doing a complete blown extended term stability test. All in all, the RAM is excellently constructed, has a tiny profile and is backed by a good quality buyer support team. My hat goes off to G.Skill. As with the intel memory typical being DDR3-1333 and all, I expectedly had to set all of my timing, frequency and voltage values manually, but it's a breeze and not a issue at all so long as you comply with G.Skill's specs rather of intel's normal. Just be conscious that all memory above DDR3-1333 will require you to do this (unless you have XMP enabled of course). Good ram + good price tag = excellent value. Fits underneath my Noctua NH-D14 perfectly. 1.6v complete clock power rating on this element vs the a lot more typical 1.65v for this class of ram is a win for power usage and heat generation as nicely. None of any type. Not my initially G.Ability ram buy, and surely won't be my final. Generally high quality item.

Intel XPM has SPD clocking at 2100+ I didn't touch a issue. CAS bumps up to 9 in between 666 and 8Ghz but drops back down to 8 at 8...so no biggie. No complications, all 12g show up. Leads me to believe that I'd been spending more on Corsair all that time..... for no cause. I didn't know magical cow powers were option. Would liked to have observed that. i7 930 just over four.1 on an Asus Rampage

Rapidly RAM, effortless to set up in BIOSOperates at specified timings 8-eight-eight-24-2N 1 poor stick resulted in quite a few hours of diagnosing for me. I got a BSOD on a cold boot just about every time I powered on my Computer. It never ever seemed to report the same driver as properly on every single BSOD. I would then power off and power the Computer on once again and would have no concerns whatsoever.I ran Memtest on all three sticks overnight without an issue was properly. The time I saw an error is when I ran Memtest on a cold boot on one stick at a time. 1 stick had failed on me and it failed on me again when I stuck it in a various slot.I have some Pat Memory (no BSOD on cold boot) taking its location right now as I wait for my RMA. This RAM runs solid each on a stock and overclocked system. On stock setup, I just enabled XMP and set the Mode to Auto in the BIOS and quickly the RAM was set to the standard timings, 8-8-8-24-2N. I ran this setup for a over a month without having any stability matters.A few days ago, I decided to OC my system. I got my i7-930 up to 4GHz 鳿x21), but my RAM's frequency dropped down to 1146MHz whilst on Auto. I sooner or later got it stable at 1528MHz @ 1.65V. I later got the timing tightened down to 7-8-7-22-1N with no stability concerns ྸǝ Stable). None. But if I had a much better motherboard, I'm confident I would be able to OC the RAM without having any problems. These sticks are SOLID! Works with EVGA X58 SLI motherboard, beautifully. Slapped them in, went into BIOS, chosen XMP Profile 1. Manually set to 8-8-8-24 and so on. Booted straight into Win7 X64 Ultimate, hasn't hiccuped but. * Couldn't get Cor**ir Dom*** to get past 1066, like several others. Had to sacrifice on auction home. By no means purchasing RAM from that firm again. None thus far. Functions beautifully. This is my third G.Skill encounter. I purchased 8GB of DDR2-800 for my HTPC's scattered throughout the house. I really like the G.Skill; from right here on out, no other mfr. comes into play for RAM. I wasted 軸 on the RAM from that other extremely-coveted (fanboiz) business. In no way once again on that infant. (although i like their power supplies)

Expense, was going to obtain Corsair. A friend talked me out of it. Glad they did. This ram is excellent. The XMP has it clocking at 2135...I didn't touch a factor. Bought 12g for what 6 of the Corsair would have run me. (I know 12g isn't any superior than six unless you're building a server, but there had been these slots in the board...you know.) ...doesn't do laundry, or dishes. I don't know how you can say "this RAM was built for an i7". That sounds like a load of crp to me. But the i7 appears fairly pleased too, so????
