Comment:
Rapid Ram. DDR three and can be overclocked! Quite cool heat sink and dissipates the heat fairly well. When I installed it in my motherboard, it was underclocked but that is not this ram's fault. Soon after employing this ram for a few months, I got to say, G.Skill is a extremely nice brand. I was thinking about getting an additional set but then, I don't seriously need 12 gigs of ram . . . Shame.

Effectively it looks nice stays cool look beneath properly lets see im not certain if its suposed to read as 1600mhz on bios but it didn't it was 1066 mhz and i oced it to 1600 so i mean it works fine so far but i kinda excpected it to be preset at 1600 mhz Manufacturer Response:.Dear ClientWe are glad to hear you like the memory. The DDR3 common is DDR3-1333 CL9, so this is the maximum any DDR3 motherboard can detect with AUTO settings. Considering that this memory is above regular, manual settings are necessary, or the Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) have to be enabled. As soon as that is complete, the laptop or computer ought to operate smoothly. 1.Overclocks well (thought I haven't pushed it past 1800 Mhz thus far). I didn't have to do any manual tweaking with the voltages. 2. Runs rock steady at the stock speeds (I have tested the overclock long enough to comment on OC stability, but it I've had no difficulties yet). three.Heat sinks are brief enough that I can have a fan on a giant HS like my Prolimatech Megahalems Rev. B cooler without blocking a RAM slot. Taller heatsinks would not fit. four. The RAM heat sinks are indented so that you can nonetheless push the RAM sticks into the slots with slicing your finger on the corners, or pushing down on the fins of the heatsink. This may well not sound like a large deal, but if you have ever had a set of RAM with tall heat sink fins you know how tough it is to put them in the slots with no bending the heatsink or pushing them so difficult that you separate them from the RAM chips. This is truly my favorite feature of these sticks. :-) There were some slightly higher performing sticks for the similar price, even from G.Skill. I wanted these for the shorter heat sinks, so this isn't really a con for me, but it could be for some. I used to be a Crucial fanboy, but this is my second set of G. Skill and they have impressed me very much. Their consumer service is great as properly. I had to get in touch with them about overclocking my last set of RAM, mainly because I couldn't get it to perform properly at stock voltages. The rep asked me to give him a day and he called me back later that evening right after testing hundreds of settings on the similar model of motherboard that I have. He gave me the settings and the RAM worked perfectly at the rated voltages and speeds immediately after that. They truly went above and beyond and I would certainly advocate G.Skill to anybody who desires high performance RAM for a much much more reasonable cost.

I installed this kit in my new technique, described below. The system fired up on the initially attempt with all memory detected, XMP in the BIOS set the spec timings, I set the speed to 1600, and it ran via Memtest86+ overnight with no errors. No funny business, every little thing just worked like it need to. The cake is a lie. EVGA X58 SLI LE (E757) motherboardCore i7-930MSI R5770 HawkAntec TP-550 PSU

Awesome RAM set the timing to 8-8-8-24 and manually set it to 1600 speed. I use my PC for Photoshop CS5 and it needs top notch RAM and so far this has been excellent. A decent cost for this point in time...and like everything else the price will come down. None

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Comment:
Install is of course a breeze, the lower profile of the heatspreader on these Ripjaws is great for Core i7 builds exactly where you have a monster heatsink hanging more than the CPU (ie. Xigmatek Thor's Hammer). Simply OC'd with no problems, no want to boost from normal voltage (running at 1404). -

It's like it was created for my Noctua nh-d14 cooler and gigabyte x58a-ud3r m/b. Looks awsome and is extremely sturdy. None at all. Incredibly pleased I went with these over the corsair that was ฤ much more and slower.

Installed two of these kits on an ASUS Sabertooth X58/i7 950 system with absolutely no issues (although the Sabertooth is not on the QML). Tested with memtest86+ and setup a 4GB DATARam ramdisk, outstanding performance for a workstation system.

Have this ram in a i7 950 system with an Asus x58 sabertooth motherboard. The system is rock solid! Given the price, the decent memory timing and the low voltage....this is good ram that should overclock quite well.
