Most people, myself included, have issues running gskill ram in various AM3 and AM3+ motherboards. This ram did not work in my GA-890FXA-UD5. My system was unable to boot, and refused to detect the proper timings. My motherboard is rev 2.1. Being that it is one of the earlier revisions, this may have been a factor. Purchase Corsair ram if you want your ram to be compatible with your AM3 or AM3+ socket board.

cheap low cost. Ok, so running on an msi p67a-gd55 program, the ram was unable to post at the rated speed of 1333 @ 7ǝǝቱ (t-2) at 1.5v. This is on an otherwise totally stock program with an updated bios. I overvolted the ram to 1.575v... no luck. The method would only post at that voltage at 1333 @ 8ǞǞቴ (t-two). Merely put, it doesn't run as its stated to-- buyer beware. Steer clear of G skill? Manufacturer Response:.Dear CustomerWe apologize for the inconvenience. 7-7-7-21 timing, now on sale for ษ off, very good deal. Defaulted to 9-9-9-24 timing and I had to modify it in the bios to 7-7-7-21. No big deal. Easy to do.

Runs quick and stable with 1090T CPU and 890FX chipset. none so far. Don't see why the sandy bridge thing is such a massive deal specifically with the SATA 3. controller issue on Intels chip. Manually setting the timing is regular for these applications, not genuinely a dilemma.

Excellent timings, nice and tight at 1333. Increase timings to 9-9-9-24 and you can effortlessly run this at 1600, quite stable. Didn't come with a free pc and an EV1 w/charger I like Daisies and BLU-82's.

G.Skill utilised to be bargain basement cheapo memory that ran "OK" but not great. Wow they have definitely got their act together, this memory runs smooth as a babies behind at advertised timings. Did not come with the G.Skill Sticker they used to give. :(Did not run Dual-Channel on my Asus Sabertooth X58. Would not detect the module in Channel B1. Dual Channel is a incredibly tiny performance improve anyhow so no biggie. Ran a 30hr burn in stress test with Everest Ultimate with no hitches.

8 gb of Ram that are 7-7-7-21 around 50$ is rare. I got this ram and I'm not disapointed. It do the job faster than most of the acltualy ram

I have a new sandy bridge system I wanted 1.5V memory to specificially utilized H67 and P67 intel chipset. Memory recognized without having any problem. I was cautious at first for GSkill. I have bought GSkill several time prior to primarily DDR2 builds, but voltage had to be cranked up way up high in to the 2 v range to avoid memory dump crashes. I recently built a friend who had alot of trouble with his intel EXTREME construct with 24 GB ripjaw series. He in fact RMA'd Gskill and got kingstons. With greater results.I was reluctant to purchase these over Crucial or Cosair. But label says created for P67 chipset, so I took a likelihood again. This memory is truly fast, its acutally quicker then the DDR3 1600 memory since of the 7 Latency. this is the 2nd set i ordered. i also go the fan kit for the memory as well. all works very nicely. have it on an ASUS board with AMD 1090T Black Edition three.2 6 Core and its a very happy machine. cant wait to install 2nd set my mother board only holds 4 DIMMs =-(

Fast Ram, Low Cas, Looks Good, reasonably priced, ASrock p67 extreme 6 auto detects ram settings perfectly Whenever I leave the computer overnight it locks up. Have tried this ram in both an ASUS p8p67 deluxe and ASrock p67 extreme 6 motherboard with identical results. With 1 stick inserted of either ram module in it works flawlessly with no hang ups. Right after both ram modules are inserted personal computer locks up randomly if you let the pc sit. I particularly bought this ram because it mentioned it was compatible with p67 motherboards, but have had poor luck with it so far. With only one stick of ram in use it works great and is quite fast. -Excellent timings-Good Heatsinks-Nicely Constructed None with the memory itself. The motherboard had default timings of 9-9-9-24 set, I had to override these settings myself.Check to make certain you're BIOS enables you specify memory timings to guarantee maximum performance. Used this on a Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 motherboard, with an i5 2500k, OCZ Agility SSD and MSI N460GTX. Loving life!

Best, I'm glad I took the advice of other enthusiasts here and went with G.Skill RIPJAWS. This kit really performs greater than 1600 RAM with it becoming CAS 7. I'm running it on an MSi 890FXA-GD65 with an AMD Phenom II x6 three.3ghz chip and it is running like a dream. Detected all 8gb appropriate away.Windows gives it a 7.5 our of 7.9 on the Index rating for those interested. Costs slightly more, but worth each penny. If you are trying to decide in between various 1333 DDR3 kits, you won't regret selecting this kit (unlucky DOA experiences aside).

They are decent chips. Overclocking on RAM shouldn't be a big issue on sandy bridge as because of the speed of most ram it makes minimal difference.If you need a good 8gb set G-skill has always made good ram and at this price they will be great.Overclocking however will be better due to the tighter timings making it slightly easier to take them higher.Lastly height could be an issue but these are amoung some of the lowest profile chips with heatsinks on them. If these are too high your next bet is to get the bargain chips with no heatsink which i would never suggest. You go cheap and it's never worth it.

I just got these for my new build and everything went smooth installing them. I haven't tried overclocking yet but will soon when i have time. Hope they do overclock well!
