Whilst a little on the pricey side, the low centre of gravity combined withe the wide, non slip permeable base makes this a great addition to the Nuvi line of GPS units. Most dashboard vibration is dampened for easy viewing and the Nuvi unit can be adjusted to any angle for viewing - easy to store the base as well.

I bought this for my wifes Nuvi. She drives a mini van but didn't want a windshield mount so I offered this and she loves it! The base molds to your dash and the pivoting head allows you to position it in any direction. The thing that she really likes is that she can take it off of the dash and put it away form prying eyes without having to breakdown the entire unit. Stays put on the dash, no slipping and slidding around.

I used this mount on a trip from California to Denver and then on to Rapid City, SD. Traveling over a variety of roads from freeway to VERY tight mountain curves, the mount never moved. A very good product.

Would never have thought how this item sticks to a dashboard. Took and installed this right before a 650 mile trip. It never moved a fraction of an inch. Have left it on the dash and three weeks later, has still not moved. Great addition for a Nuvi.

My wife and I needed this for a trip to San Diego... California and Minnesota ban the use of window-mounted attachments. The base was heavy enough to avoid slippage, and can bend/conform to the dash and stay put. Very impressed.

This is a wonderful invention! Beats the heck out of permanent mounts or glue residue on the dash. Will work on any dash!

I needed a mount for my Prius and I didn't want to fork $60 or so for a Pro-clip mount kit. Did some shopping around and found this. Works like a charm with my Garmin 265WT. It stays secure on top of the dash no matter how sharp I turn or how fast I drive. It's also much safer to have than a windshield mount b/c you can hide the mount w/o attracting the attention of a thief. No complaints whatsoever. Great product at a reasonable price.

I have had this product for a couple of weeks now and have had absolutely no problems with it. I have a Garmin 765T GPS attached to it and it hold it perfectly over most road surfaces. Even removing and reattaching the gps many times, so far has not affected its position on the dash.

If you are looking for a dash mounting solution (without having to actually stick anything to your dash)for your Garmin, this should fit the bill. It is small enough to fit in your glovebox when not in sue and is very stable when on the dash. I've never seen it budge even when braking heavily or during sharp turns. Only downside is the price, its a tad pricey, but it works.

works well on a flat surface but not as good as the bean bag type. it is smaller and not as bulky but overall the bean bag works better for me

My windshield is too far away for the suction cup mount to work very well. This friction mount works great. It comforms to the shape of the dash board and does not more around at all while driving. The best part is - it can easily be moved so my wife can access it from the passenger side and make any changes or new destinations then move it back so I can view the screen. Well worth the price.

I loved the mount it worked well in our Mini-Van. I brought it back in to the house and sit it down on my desk and there happened to be a photograph laying there and I sit the mount on the photo. The sticky bottom stuck to the photograph and when I tried to remove it the sticky pad on the bottom of the mount ripped off instead of the picture coming off. So I had to order a second mount and have not used it yet I am using the suction mount now, but I am sure I will use the friction mount sometime in the future. When I did use the friction mount it worked flawlessly and bent to conform to the contours of my dash. I tested it out by taking a couple of corners pretty fast and it never moved a bit. Yet you can lift it off the dash without any problems.

Seems like $30 is alot to spend for a molded hunk of rubber and a plastic ball mounted atop it... but it really has worked well in my car. The Ford Flex has a windshield that makes the GPS too far to reach from the driver seat. This weighted, gel bottomed pad keeps the unit well planted on the dash within reach of the driver. Smaller and looks better than the sandbag ones. Really like the speed limits that show on the roads.
