I spent several months checking out cameras at many online as well as offline stores for a camera with just the right features I wanted. After a long search I found this camera right here where I have shopped for quite a while. I ordered it hoping it would arrive in time for Thanksgiving (which it did) so I could use it for the annual gathering of the Turkey Gobblers. My old camera, a Pentax Optio, has served me well but did not record sound in the movie mode and was only 3 optical zoom. The GE camera takes movies as well as my Camcorder without the fuss of carrying 2 cameras and works great for the outside pictures of nature. If you are looking for a great camera then you are looking for this one. It has far exceeded my required options list I put together when my search began and I believe will continue to serve for years to come.

I carefully researched cameras and went a lot by user reviews. Maybe there is something wrong with the camera I received, but I am very disappointed in the quality of photos. After reading the instructions and trying many different effects, all photos are grainy and the tint is yellowish greenish. I used it to take photos of a youth group caroling and was sad to see the poor quality. For the 80 photos I've taken, I've gone through 3 sets of batteries. I am thankful that I was able to adjust some of the tint using the provided photo software, but again the quality is grainy. Our little 3.1MP camera that is 6 years old takes far better quality photos. I was hoping this was an upgrade.

I brought this camera couple days ago for my sister. i took couple pics to compare that with my nickon coolpix S560. The result was shocking. This GE camera takes more smooth and clear picture than my nickon coolpix S560. Now i am thinking to buy another GE for myself. It is really good camera for this price. Only bad thing i can say is the battery. it is alkaline battery. i hate that part. any way it is so good deal. i will buy another one for 79.

It works, to mean it takes digital pictures like all the rest of these digital cameras, it is a very steep price. Also a 2GB memory card would not have been a difficult addition to include with the camera. It has more features (than I will use) for sure. My reason to buy was the small size and simply needing a new camera to replace my old floppy disk Sony Camera. If this one will last? It may be worth the expense?

This camera is great for what I use it for. I capture images of family and friends in all sorts for light and backgrounds and the camera compensates for it perfectly. For the price, this is a great buy and I'd recommend it to anyone. The only drawback I've found so far, you can't pick a picture quality. I like low for web applications and high for print quality. Overall, I still love it.

Opened the box, popped in the batteries and shot loads of pics. Outside, inside, day, night and they all looked great. Hooked up to PC, tagged all and copied over, with no problem.

Have had my camera for a couple weeks, I like it alot. That said, I am not a pro - just an average guy, I want it to work fast and easy with good pic quality. It does that with flying colors. USB easy to get pics on my conputer, AV cable I can plug into the front of my big screen and show off pics to family. I also ordered 8G SDcard and rechargable AA batteries, $107 for it all - NICE!

I am truly amazed by the quality of the pictures. My friend has a SX110IS which was priced 3x what I paid for this camera. And I was stunned at the quality of pictures I captured compared to his. My pictures turned out really sharp! Oddly his IS photos were blurry. PROS: Panoramic Capture. This is single handedly the best feature that has won me over on this camera. It is just awesome and makes it so easy to make panoramics! Just stunningly beautiful shots of sweeping vistas. The LCD is polarized at 45 degrees so when I'm wearing my polarized sunglasses & view the LCD vertical I see the picture. My friend's SX110IS goes black at vertical! The camera boots fast & focuses fairly fast. My friend's camera takes 3x longer to boot. Live Histogram! You can even have 30 sec manual exposure! CONS: The face detection doesn't work unless you look like a Smiley face. Canxx wins in this area but who needs this feature

Biggest drawback is transfering pictures to the computer. There is no programming to transfer all pictures at once and select the preferred ones like the Sony cameras do. Also fuzzy details on closeups.

This is one of the best cameras you can get for under $100. In fact, it's better than many that are much higher priced. It has a huge amount of features - far more than expected, but if you just want a 'point & shoot' this can work for that as well. Either way, with a 12x zoom, panorama, blink detection, red eye, etc., it really is one of the most satisfying purchases that I've had in a long time. Enjoy!

I am a beginner in photography and I think this camera is easy to learn by trial. Luckily because the instructions in the guide is almost nonexistent. To date, I found it takes great pictures near. We puts at auto mode, ASCA.

This was a replacement for a digital camera that was giving up, and was comparable in price to what I paid those many years before. That is where the similarities ended. The features are terrific for the price! I was considering the A950 but went with the A1050 and was glad I did for the extra $10 it was worth it. This camera works great and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a point-and-shoot. The Panorama mode is great and functions with surprisingly little distortion if any at all. Thumbs up.

I have only taken about 20 pics since recieving the camera, and am very pleased, so far. The camera has features I have not experimented with but works well with the basic scene recognition setting. I bought an earlier version of the GE camera for my daughterover a year ago, and since she is so pleased with it, I decided to buy one for myself when my Canon camera died after two years use.

Very, Very nice product. Boots up extremely fast, when you hit the power button, you will be ready to shoot in about one half of a second. Enjoy.

I have absolutely no complaints. It does a wonderful job. I haven't tried all the features yet. I do have to say that the sunset scene feature (not surprisingly) doesn't give the color that one would hope. A tripod with a manual setting would be best. Also, it would be handier to have a more comprehensive manual boxed with it but few manufacturers do that anymore. The PDF manual is excellent but one has to get the directions off the computer vs. out in the field.

For the price of this small camera it is money well spent. We recently used the camera on a trip and we were so impressed when we downloaded the photos onto our computer. My old 10Mp camera died a few days before I went on vacation. I ordered the GE camera from Tiger Direct and it came in two days, just great. I have now used this camera for three weeks and it really is the best digital camera I have owned. It is loaded with features and I plan on trying them all out, but the auto mode works so well I don't really need them. Great camera, at a super price
