A great buy! This camera has outstanding picture quality. It's hard to believe how well it compensates for low light conditions that would be unusable by other cameras. Lots of special functions like stitching a series of pictures together to form a 360 degree panoramic view. I would recommend that you also buy a memory card, the camera can handle up to 8 GB of external memory. The camera's internal memory is only enough for about six pictures. Wished it had an AC Power adapter, runs on 2 AA batteries.

Had 4 requirements for a camera. Take AA batteries, SD card, small, and easy to use. This fit the bill nicely without costing too much. Our pictures don't come out a nicely as our more expensive unit, but this is a good camera for the price you pay.

All in all a very decent camera. Our oldest son wanted a camera and was on a budget. We got this for him. After playing with it a bit I was impressed as it was better than I thought it would be. It felt decent in your hands, had some nice features and took very good still shots and nice action shots in outdoor lighting. The panoramic stitching was surprisingly accurate. It doesn't compare to our Canon DSLR for indoor action shots or low light scenes, but I didn't expect it to. About the only thing that would be good for this camera would be a little better variable intensity flash. But for the price it is a very good starter camera for most people and our son has taken some very nice pics with it.

Takes great pictures, lots of features. Not as good a quality as some of the cameras out there, but for the price it is a GREAT camera. I would recommend it as a second camera, or a first camera for a young adult.

My sister and I bought this for our parents to go on their 40th wedding anniversary trip to europe. They are currently using the camera and seem quite pleased. The price was good, it shipped perfectly on time and the picture quality is very nice.

I had three things I looked for in a camera. It had to: 1) Be cheap. 1 of 3. 2) Take OK pictures both at night and day, without the flash and zoomed in. 2 of 3, respectable for the price. 3) Use cheap disposable AA batteries, to avoid the danger of having an expensive special battery eaten up by the camera. 3 of 3. This one is totally worth it for anyone who doesn't care more than normal about the results.

I have had this camera for 1.3 years and it has stopped working. Pictures were wonderful for a while but after 3000 pics, it stopped working. It is cheap but garbage after a while. This has been the camera with shortest life I have ever had.

I love this camera, however, it takes some getting use to. It's adjustment rich, but wish it was just a little bit more automatic with its settings, in other words it takes reading up and thought to get the most out of it. For $60 it can't be beat.

My last camera was 3x optical so this was nice to move up. I could still use a larger Optical zoom to get closer shots when taking pics of the kids in a play on stage. Can't beat what you get for the value. This camera also allows zoom during the video mode something my last camera didn't let me do. The review mode is a little inconvenient since you have to change the dial to view the pictures and videos. I don't see a way to quickly review a pic after you take it but for $59 its a steal. I've only owned this for 10 days so I'm not sure about the quality long term but at first glance it feels small but sturdy hopefully it will last long.

I have bought this camera at a local dept. store and when I saw it on sale I bought 2, 1 for my niece and the other for my boyfriend who is camera-challenged.I'm giving it to him for V-DAY so lets see how he handles the challenge.

I had been using a Canon Powershot that I had borrowed from a friend. He eventually took it back and I wanted something that was comparable with the Canon, which I had grown familiar with. This GE camera met my desired target and I actually like it better. What I use it for is taking pictures of pages of books, to do a OCR to be able to print parts on Word, for compiling notes. This is just good enough for this purpose and does a good job of doing the adjustments (focus and white value)in the dark, with it's helper beam, or whatever they call it.

I bought this camera as a gift to myself for Christmas. I got the camera the morning after I ordered it by ground shipping, ''buy it today and it ships today'' means ground shipping can be overnight depending where you live. I'm still showing full batteries with the ones that came with the camera and I've had the camera for 2 months. Don't use the default settings as the photo's tend to be over exposed. Read the manual!

Best deal for the money by a mile. I take a lot of pictures and have not had any problems. Take the time to read the instructions and practice using all of the features before go on vacation.

I was never impressed with my Nikon coolpix, which suddenly gave me lens error message right after the 1 year warranty was up. My nikon was extremely slow taking indoor pics. I missed a lot of shots because of it. The GE is quick and takes great pictures indoors and outdoors. I like the manaul dial on top to switch between operation modes. I wished I would have bought this a couple of years ago instead of the nikon. I just couldn't find any reviews on it. These are great cameras. Don't waste your money on that expensive junk out there. I might buy another one just to have as a back-up.

I love this camera. For the money it can't be beat. It's easy to use and takes fantastic pictuers. It won't charge on usb and kind of feature poor, but I don't miss the features and battery life on regular batteries is great!!

We got this for our daughter (12) for Christmas. It works wonderfully and takes great pictures. It has a lot of features that are amazing to me at this price point, like face, blink, and smile recognition. It is simple enought that she can point-n-click for most situations, but also make adjustments for close-up shots, etc.
