I bought two of these. One was for myself, the other for a gift. It has just enough features to do what you need to, but not so many that it is confusing. I don't think that the battery life is great, but overall, a great buy. I would purchase again.

I bought this camera for my 12-year-old grandson. I thought it was a little sophisticated for him, but the price was great so I bought it anyway. I am SO glad that I did. It is really simple to operate, yet as he becomes more proficient, there are lots of features that he can use to enhance his picture taking. The photos themselves are fantastic. Very clear and crisp. Well worth the money.

I bought two GE A950s. One for each of my sons (6 and 8). They absolutely love them and to date (one month)they have served us very well. The boys are constantly taking pictures and videos. Make sure you get a big memory card for your kids as mine fill them up QUICKLY. These cameras have 5 optical zoom which you can't beat for the money. Mom was very happy with the quality and is thinking of ordering one as well.

I love the camera with one exception. My only criticism is that it goes through batteries too fast. I've tried both rechargable and the ones that came with the camera and they just do not last.

This is my second GE Camera and I am very pleased with the performance. I have owned several other name brand cameras and have been quite dissappointed. Can't beat it for the money and the quality.

This camera goes against the old adage of you get what you pay for. In this case there is a lot more get for the mopney. Camera takes great pics out of the box. Using all of the custom settings will take time and experience however the auto mode coves most point and shoot needs. Great camera for the price.

For the price this camera has some very nice features. The one that sold me to buy is the panorama feature built to the camera. It simplicity guides me to the next shot position and takes the next pictures then stitches them together into one picture. The 5X optical zoom is also a great value. Make sure you have rechargable batteries or bulk up on alkaline AA's.

This camera exceeded my expectations for a slim camera that can fit unobtrusively in a shirt pocket or purse. My review was longer than the allowed 1000 characters, and the censor robot rejected my review because, Sorry! We do not accept web links, the names of specific companies, or special characters in our product reviews. Please edit your review and try again. The robot did not highlight the offending text, so I do not know what it was objecting to. I will not be wasting my time trying to write a review here in the future.

I've had expensive cameras and this one is as good as any I've had , and very easy to use.

The camera performs what it claims. Lots of features and good picture quality. Once you switch from alcaline batteries to lithium ones, you can then enjoy the camera for a much longer time.Outside shots are great. Inside ones, not so much. The flash is only good for near by subjects. I still need to experiment with different scenes. The panoramic feature is very good. For the price, you cannot get anything better.

Good lens with low distortion. Easy to use, good in low light, links pan pics well and nice video. Batteries maybe a problem for some but it is a benefit if you are on vacation and no place to charge. Cons are few (no true manual modes)and will only be noticed by para professionals.

This camera has some pretty sophisticated software on it compared to others I have owned and paid more for, I especially like the way it takes panoramic shots. Very easy to use right out of the box but also has lots of settings to play with if you are a tinkerer like me. My only complaint is the plastic casing, it just doesn't feel very sturdy. So far I've been ok because I've been vigilant about not letting my kids touch it and I haven't dropped it but I like the metal casing of other camera's I've owned better.

This is a good camera that takes good pictures once you figure out how to change all the exposure settings. The default settings on the camera produced washed out, over exposed images in all conditions. There is very limited documentation on how to change the settings, but once I figured it out the picture quality is excellent. The included software to download pictures is also very basic with little or no documentation on how to edit pictures. This is not a camera for someone who expects to just take it out of the box and take great pictures. But if your willing to play with the settings both on the camera and the picture editor it will eventually give you great pictures.
