Cons:Very cheap plastic, it's very loud at high temperature. Motherboard controlled-depending on your setup this could be bad or good.
Pros:Lightweight, come with rubber pins instead of screws so it help keeps vibration to a minimum. The white on black design looks attractive, but it can look ugly in other cases. Quiet at low temperature. Comment:
Bought to store up my desk with more 120mm because over the age, fans are filled with dust, lose their speeds and become louder. So instead of cleaning them I just replace. Despite the many good reviews for this product, overall I'm quite happy with these fans, although I would prefer them to made with better plastic quality but I haven't had these long enough to question their sturdiness and whether cheap the plastic play a major factor. |

When Gelid had first come out, I was meaning to try one of their products. This is the first 120mm fan I've tried from them and they've worked fairly well for me.The look of the fan itself is quite nice. The black frame and white blades are quite visually appealing unlike the colours of other brands (I'm lookin' at you Noctua). It feels quite well made too and offers a couple of nice features such as the sleeved wires and the extra rubber fan mounts they include to prevent vibration when mounting them to your case.In terms of actual functionality, I won't say this fan is amazing by any means. It is quite good though. The PWM function allows the fan to be controlled via the motherboard which is nice but to me this also hinders its usage a bit as I personally don't need to the fourth PWM pin since I don't use it. I wouldn't say this is a negative...maybe just an inconvenience for me. I would have liked to see Gelid put out a normal 3-pin version of this fan maybe so it can be voltage controlled. The fourth pin can get in the way sometimes especially if you're using things like extension wires.Anyway, with that aside, the fan itself performs decently and pushes a fair amount of air. To me it actually wasn't that quiet and is actually audible alongside the other fans in my case but it's definitely tolerable. At 1500RPM, I'm not really surprised to be hearing the air rushing through the fan.Overall, these Gelid fans aren't a bad deal at all. You get a fine product that has some nifty features and it comes in at a very affordable price. |

It's a very quiet fan.the only thing that might be its weakness is the rubber pin you get to mount the fan, it's not a complete weakness, it's also a strenght. I bought one of these for my case, it runs so quitely for a 12cms I am just amazed, cause I had a Thermaltake one before and it was like a reactor. Only little problem was the connection (4pins) I tought it was a molex one, but it is not molex, but a 4pins fan like the CPU to Mobo one. However I had some 4pins to 3pins and 4pins to molex adaptors cables. |

I bought those because NCIX does not seems to carry NEXUS 120mm PWM fans anymore(don't know why), this one seems to be as quiet but don't push as much air as the NEXUS 58 vs 76cfm for the NEXUS at full rpm 1500 vs 2000.With a price match it come so cheap that it become unbeatable.Use it with GELID Y spliter cable sku 34110 |
