GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 ATX AMD Motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:- nothing for the price
Pros:- PRICE!- USB- SATA3 Comment:
I bought this board for Crossfire and future capabilities. For those who want to run multi-card platforms, most inexpensive boards will run PCIe 16 and 4. This runs a 16 and 8 (actual 8 and 8), which wields better performance. |

GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:It would be nice if the main video slot didn't block a PCIE1 slot
Pros:Nicely laid out, lots of PCIE slots Comment:
Nicely laid out board with quality heat sinks. 3 Full size PCIE slots (x8, x8, x4 or 1 x16). SATA ports nicely out of the way and don't block airflow. |

GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:-No EPU BIOS
Pros:-Ready for Bulldozer-Board layout-Matte gun metal grey heat sinks-Fair price-SLI and Crossfire Comment:
Looks really appealing to the eye. No complaints about the board layout. Everything is where it should be. Paired with a Phenom II x4 840 for now. No surprises at all. Gigabyte is a quality company and have been making excellent boards for a really long time. Lately, I've been buying their boards over every other company. They seem to know what I like. Kinda wish they used the EPU BIOS though. It's about time the BIOS was updated on all boards. |
Most bang for your buck from this motherboard. Latest specs all here: 2 x USB3.0 ports, 2 x front on/off power USB ports (for charging portable devices even when PC is off), 8 more USB2.0 ports, SATA3 drive connectivity, 3 x PCI-E (x16, x8, x4), 2 x PCI-Ex1, 2 x PCI slots, up to 32GB DDR3 RAM (4 x 8GB max). The user manual is particularly outstanding in its thoroughness and 'plain English' instructions. Most utilities & drivers on installation disc had updates available on the Gigabyte website, which were easily & instantly accessed by entering model number in Support web page Search box. Had no problems with installation of motherboard itself, nor with any peripheral installations. Very happy with this purchase.
