GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:None

Pros:COST, Durability (copperPCB), Overclockability, Runs SUPER cool, stability, ability to recover from failed ocs
Comment:
Having to replace a dead 680i, I chose this board not knowing of it's insane clocking abilities. Running this board with an e8400 using thermo-electric cooling allows me a 4ghz cpu g 22c realtemp idle. What's amazing is that it runs really nice and cool to the touch on the north bridge.. Quite a difference over the 680i. Also really impressed with the Easytune software that comes standard with the new Gigabyte boards. I have always been an Asus user in the past, and I have to say that the Easytune software makes Gigabyte look very good, and Asus look very bad. Usually I would oc through the bios, but the software allows you to clock and set all sorts of options right in your os. Quite a treat. Overall I highly recommend this board. Its cheap when you use the rebates available, and clocks extermely well. You don't need to look too long on the net to find the proof. NB Runs extremely cool and the board in itself is also pretty easy on the eyes.If gigabyte continues making boards like this I doubt I will ever find my way back to AsusThis review was modfied by poster g 01-13-09 01:53 AM This review was modfied by poster @ 01-13-09 01:11 AM

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:-The box isn't as shiny as some other brand ;P (Just to name one)-Onboard sound is fine, but not great

Pros:-Cheap (When on sale)-OC like a champ-Looks nice
Comment:
I got this one over the P5Q-E which I used in 3-4 builds. It was much cheaper. It Overclocks much better and the bios is friendlier imo. The onboard sound is a bit deceiving though, the one from the P5Q-E is much better (ADI)

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:None

Pros:LooksOC options and capabilityEven OC'd, the heatsinks stay cool8 USB, 2 1394, dual gigabit ethernet, dual BIOS, 8 SATAPCB layout
Comment:
I'm surprised there aren't more reviews from people who were considering the P5Q Pro and bought this instead. Some of the options and abilities of this board are only found on much more expensive chipsets (ie. X38) and it really does OC like a champ. Some of the additional bundled software like Xpress Recovery 2 and Dynamic Energy Saver are interesting, if not overly useful for experienced users. The manual is relatively good, but there's a dedicated Gigabyte forum at:http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/This motherboard + E8500 + 4GB of Mushkin Redlines = Win!

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:- none- only 4 SATA cables but its an enthusiast board so who cares...

Pros:- cheap- amazingly good 45nm quad overclocker (one of the best on the market and certainly the cheapest)- NB runs under 40 degrees even at high OCs- stock cooler is much beefier than it looks on the photos
Comment:
I bought this board to replace a P5Q Deluxe that blew 3 of its RAM slots on me. This board currently has my Q9550 C1 rock stable at 4.00GHz within safe voltages and temps. NB on this board runs incredibly cool. It does not have a temp sensor because it will never get critically hot even at 500+FSB. Some X48 boards will push the same FSB that this board is capable of but they cost more than twice the price. BIOS is pretty advanced but nothing crazy after coming from X48 and P45 boards from Asus and DFI. My board has a lot of vDroop without LLC so I have it enabled. Gigabytes VRMs apparently keep the voltages much more steady with LLC enabled than Asus. All in all an amazing board!! If I build another system in the next few months it will be with this board (and probably an E84-E8600) for sure.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:For a short time I had a sunbeam contact core freezer installed. The stock mosfet gets in the way of the bracket for the CPU cooler, otherwise no issues.

Pros:Achieves high FSB easily with my Q9550 500Mhz, stock cooling is quite decent.

Bought this to replace an Asus P5Q Deluxe I had blow up on me, before I realized how good the warrenty and RMA was for the Asus board. But oh well, I have two great boards now. And couldn't be happier with this product. Runs my Q9550 at 4ghz with ease with room to spare! I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:- None

Pros:- Great overclocking potential- Price (after PMing)- Lots of features and ports
Comment:
This is a great overclocking P45 motherboard as all reviews on the web have stated. I have my E8400 (C0 stepping) running at 4 GHz (9x445) with 8 GB of RAM (8 hours of OCCT stability testing so far) by making only minor timing and voltage adjustments. Also, my TRUE heatsink installed without any issues.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Heatpipe system makes big coolers difficult to install.

Pros:CrossireX. Tons of USB ports. High-End BIOS features for Overclocking
Comment:
I love this board. It has enthusiast level overclocking features in the BIOS for a mid-range price (don't forget to price match it!). It has 6 SATA which are RAID-able (Intel), plus two more SATA ports which are also RAID-able (Gigabyte controller).I have an E8500 running 4.0Ghz at 1.40 volts (1.38 volts in Windows, the addition of load line calibration in the BIOS does a great job of reducing vDroop) with 8GB of memory and this board is rock solid stable with a 36 hour Orthos run.The rear I/O panel is richly appointed with 8 USB ports, two firewire connectors (mini, and full sized), and the addition of dual E-SATA connectors with a 4 pin molex out which makes plugging SATA drives in a breeze. This is the first time I have paid more than $100 for a Gigabyte motherboard and I am not disappointed. Crossfire here I come! This review was modfied by poster @ 12-02-08 11:11 AM
