Very good OC selections in BIOS. If you have excellent RAM and a good CPU, you need to be able to get good clocks. ( I have mine at 4 GHz. Does not have floppy or IDE headers. I have no use for these so why spend additional? Supports XMP memory profiles. A ton of USB ports in back. No on board video (requires video on CPU or A PCIe card) Smaller size. Dual BIOS ,cheap H55 board. No HDMI, not good for HTPC with video on CPU due to the fact you can't run HDCP protected video unless you use an adapter. RAM headers are too close to PCIe 16x slot requires removal of card for installation of RAM. Only 1 fan header (other than CPU one particular) This board is a very good value , and with a PCIe graphics card installed, is not negative for gaming. So far ,The H55 chipset runs only warm to the touch. |

functions fine when it's not corrupting my SSD and hanging lost drives, lost drive data, paging-connected hangs, hangs and additional hangs across multiple boards and drives i've tried. Thinking that maybe I got a dud, I actually bought a second a single of these motherboards (as the RMA approach takes weeks and I can't be without having a pc that lengthy). Both the original and the new motherboard show periodic and catastrophic disk errors with a number of SSDs (different brands) that I have tried. In their defense, normal drives seem to operate fine, but the use of an SSD with this board is utter disaster. Information will fail to commit and you'll get blue-screen paging errors. About when a week, the BIOS will fail to come across the drive on boot, the only remedy for which i've identified is to open the computer and shuffle all the SATA cables about. The windows error log shows heaps and heaps of paging errors. When the system page file goes absolutely poor, the computer appears to just slowly grind to a halt. And on and on and on. Unreliable disk interaction is NOT one thing you want.If you intend to use an SSD, then Absolutely Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES Need to YOU USE THIS BOARD. Motherboard has good attributes for the value. Solid Capacitors, Dual Monitor Output, tons of USB ports. Simple install Pc was operating good for a small over a month and then I came back into the space and smelled a smell none of us wants to smell. Electrical burning. Laptop was going on and off. Checked power provide and it was fine. Looked more than motherboard and certain enough, it had 2 region's that were burnt. I have applied Gigabyte boards forever so I am hoping this is just a bad egg. Gigabyte is still at the top rated of the motherboard list. I develop computers just about every week and this is the first one particular of their boards I have ever had trouble with. Now it is RMA time so we will see how they do in that regard. |

Great stats and abilities for cost NaN Sound does not function off the bat in ubuntu 10.04Had to install alsa, modify /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and add 'options snd-hda-intel model=generic' to get fundamental sound up and runningHave not tested mb on any other os |

functions good now that I know what it can and can't deal with seeing as how the add and guide don't actually have a mention of parts compatibillity, with each and every other or included software program. well located out that 1600mhz drr3 doesn't operate with an I3 and neither does the included software package for easytune 6,only 1 plug in for a case fan,and gigabytes ggts technical service hasn't answered for 6 days now so wouldn't anticipate excellent things from them either. either do alot of investigation when there isn't alot of information redily available or go with a MoBo manufacturer that consists of the information in the advertisement.I genuinely believed gigabyte would be alot superior than they actually are, been incredibly pleased and had no troubles with the 3 prior boards and video card from them but with tech support getting absolutely lame going with a person else I believe for my next purchase. |

The other people two boards I bought for my small business work Great! I have had to replace this board twice considering that neither one of of the boards will post. I didn't/haven't had any issues with the other two boards I purchased. I can only assume I have run into a poor batch. I am going to give this 1 additional try, otherwise I will be shopping from a distinct manufacture. No far more Gigabyte stuff for me. NewEgg has been Excellent more than this matter and has exchanged these with no difficulties. |

It's has a lot of USB ports. It's been quite stable so far. Very good for basic machine if you don't want a bunch of bells and whistles. Even Windows 7 didn't recognize the network device. There's no raid0 solution. If you're developing a mid range machine without having raided drive then this would be a superior board for you. |

Value, BIOS, overclockability, efficiency & stability, as much as anyone need to reasonably expect from a lower-finish spending budget board. Lacks functions of a lot of boards priced just slightly higher (~บ additional)Double-slot graphics cards like GTX 460 block SATA ports , 1 & 2. Bought the Gigabyte board locally to replace a Biostar TH55B-HD that I had to RMA back to NewEgg due to a poor A-1 memory slot.Really pleased with the SV2 (rev 1.3, similar as the pics indicate NewEgg is selling), highly advised for those on a low-spending budget and can use a no-frills board. |

Good layout; every little thing is clearly marked; nicely-written manual; lots of SATA ports; great onboard audio & video; excellent price; good blue color, really compact micro ATX Limited expansion potential with only two memory slots; some video cards with large cooling units can block some of the SATA ports I've been making use of Gigabyte boards for every single Pc I've built more than the past couple of years and I'm always pleased with them. For the price, this can't be beat if you are carrying out a easy/budget develop or want some thing compact. |

I've been acquiring Gigabyte motherboards considering that my initial build back in 2005 and haven't had any complications with them. They are all stable, offer excellent capabilities and are most importantly cost-effective (like this 1). This mobo has a ton of USB ports. Handles my custom build like a champ! I wish it had a different PCI port. My video card practically is connected to my PCI sound card thats how close they are. They could have spaced them out a bit a a lot more but not a huge deal. AUDIO connector for case is in an awkward spot as well I had to drape the front panel audio connectors over the top of the roof and along the back in order to connect. I know it appears like alot of negatives but definitely they're just recommendations don't let it scare you away from a great motherboard. |

Appears to be operating stable now. Had a hiccup noted in the Cons notes. This board appears fundamental but need to truly have everything you will need. I put in two memory sticks adding up to 8GB of RAM Mhz speed). Only main factor missing would be USB3. But with USB3 devices nonetheless relatively rare nonetheless, didn't feel it was important. Employing this for a fresh build. Installed Windows7 64-bit just fine. At one point even though installing some software, when I came back later, the program was in continuous boot each and every three seconds. Fans would spin up and would quickly reboot. Only way out of this was to shut off the power supply entirely via the switch on the PSU (is a Zalman 500W PSU). Soon after that, has been workving for more than a week now with both using shutdown and technique sleeping.Who's knows what happened.. so I'm nonetheless a small cautious, but everything does appear to be operating stable now. I am making use of the latest 1.four rev of the m/b and newest BIOS. Cable mgmt was a small tricky. I had to route a cable underneath the video card opening among the m/b just before installing it to plug in the audio 97 cable from the front of the case to the m/b. Identical goes with the RAM. I had to install the RAM just before the video card (one RAM latch was in the way). I run a single ATI 5670 video card with this system. |

Excellent sub 贄 budget board, lots of features, effortless to setup, no actual massive concerns, excellent if you want an intel core cpu on the affordable. Micro atx, a little pricey for a micro atx, sata connector placement if you have a dual slot video card it will obscure half of these, only two memory slots. Bios can be a small confusing if you are new to the intel core family members of processors which I am, but this is not necessarily a con, but an opportunity to discover on my part. |

Straightforward to load the drivers from CD. Has a utility app which makes it uncomplicated to try a one-click overclocking. BIOS enables for auto backing up the BIOS configuration to the HDD which makes it easy to recover from an O.C. issue. NONE Microsoft Update has a driver for "...LAN e-net Realtek..." which is desires to install for this motherboard. Don't Do it - You will shed your LAN connection and have to reload the original driver from the CD. I employed this motherboard for an upgrade/rebuild. When I booted up off of the HDD for the initially time, the Windows XP application accepted this diverse MB !!! I was prepared to do a bare metal install to be able to use the WinXP on my HDD. It could have been luck or perhaps some thing about this MB? My prior MB was rather distinct than this one. |

Has every little thing I need to have on the motherboardFairly very good for overclockingAffordable for what your obtaining Some men and women may mind the fact that it only has two RAM slots. To me I feel a max of 8 gigs of RAM is plenty I have generally utilised motherboards from ASUS. This is my initially Gigabyte board and I am extremly pleased with it. This is an awesome spending budget board paired with an i3 530 and ddr3 ram |

Operates fantastic for my Intel i5-760, has many BIOS settings to tweak. Cramped design. Positive it has 6 SATA plugs, on the other hand as soon as you add a decent sized video card (mine is Nvidia GTS-250), the top three SATA plugs are blocked creating them unusable. And the PCI socket for your sound card is so close to the PCI-E 2. slot. With my sound card installed, it is maybe 1ǘ inch from the bottom of my video card, if that. Doesn't leave substantially area for the cooling fan on my video card to intake air. I like the reality that it has 2 BIOS chips, but couldn't Gigabyte have spaced out the slots a small much more?
