GIGABYTE GA-MA78LMT-S2 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Appears like a decent board. Have often had excellent luck with Gigabyte boards. Till now... Can not get board to post with memory in each memory slots. It will boot and run fine with either stick in either of the slots. Utilizing 2x2gb Vital CT25664BA1067.M16FF. Memory is rated at 1.5v. Very first time I have ever had to deal with Gigabyte help and it has been a incredibly slooooow approach. I have generally purchased and recommended Gigabyte boards in the past, but this tech help difficulty has me thinking twice.

Decent hardware for the cost. Purchased this for a spending budget develop. Booted appropriate up, Windows XP and all the drivers installed without having issues. There was a Windows / .Net update (I assume) that brought on the Pc to commence rebooting itself over and over. When the Pc rebooted, the POST screen(s) would complain about a difficult drive problem. I installed the existing utilized HD in this build, so I figured it was a negative HD. I replaced the drive and ghosted the machine to pre-update status. As soon as I installed the final batch of updates, it started getting matters once more. I ghosted the machine Again, and turned off automatic updates. Been operating fine ever because. I don't like not being able to run Windows updates, but whatever. It's operating now. I am 99% sure that all the random reboots caused the original drive to fail. I ran substantial diagnostics and the drive failed Smart tests and some other tests. Was fine ahead of the update incident.

good mobo for the price tag my gtx 470 covers up three sata ports =( but oh nicely who requirements a CD drive anyways

Lan, Video, and audio all worked Excellent suitable out of the box. No complications at all with a AMD Athlon II X4 635,WINTEC AMPX 4GB 1333 Memory, XFX HD-557X-ZNF2 Radeon HD 5570 Video Card, & ASUS DRW-24B1ST. 1 of the easiest systems I've ever built. All this for less than 300 Bucks thanks NewEgg!!!!

I have constantly been an Asus motherboard individual. I bought this board for my sisters construct on a spending budget and was extremely surprised as to how good it definitely is. Felt solid, runs wonderful, and has a fairly cool color scheme to match. None

Uncomplicated to install, driver disk installs everything you want simple and works excellent. Has an overclocking utility that with 2 clicks and a reboot allows you to attempt to unlock additional hidden cores on multicore amd chips. My Phenom X2 unlocked both cores and now I have a X4 for less than half the price! Had difficulties with the update utility that comes on the driver disk. As soon as it updates the Easy Tune 6 utilility (the one that lets you overclock from windows and unlock further cores) the program wouldn't work anymore. Uninstalled the update app because you can't keep it from updating the software program automatically that I could figure out.Other than that, a wonderful board

Recognized SSD drive. On-board video was dead out the box, had to install a card to setup board, video nonetheless is a no go. I've had terrific luck with Gigabyte boards and this one is no exception. I've used a couple of these in some budget builds with no problems. I was able to unlock the 4th cores on my Athlon X3 450s successfully utilizing this motherboard. Has decent overclocking capability and all of the characteristics I require. One minor gripe- there is no power LED on the motherboard showing that it's getting power. If you want a 100% stable motherboard that will final a long time, get this 1. You can't go wrong. It's a couple bucks far more than some other matx boards, but entirely worth it.

XP installed fine and the included driver disk installed all of the drivers. I ran into issues with Ubuntu though. Ubuntu 10.04 32 and 64 bit would not recognize sound. It was an simple fix, but took me a whilst to uncover it. Now I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 64bit and everything is running smoothly. Sound not recognized in Ubuntu 10.04 This mb4 GB gskillamd athlon x3 435 @ 2.9ghz

Excellent cost. Speedy delivery from Newegg: ordered Mon PM, delivered Fri just following noon. Board is little, effortless to work with. SATA connectors are on unsupported corner; hand to support corner whilst pushing them in. Tried everything: can't get this to boot from usb flashdrive: used distinct brands of flashdrive, utilised unique distros; used various bios settings; used different boot option selections; absolutely nothing worked. Whether or not Gigabyte support is located in US or Taiwan or wherever, they didn't even open my support ticket on Monday (submitted just before beginning of the workday wherever they are). So I had to get an optical drive to install an OS. Otherwise, as far as I can tell, it works fine. I built a total desktop for under 跌, so I'm not feeling too grumpy.

For a cheap build, this board is a pretty good choice, with integrated AMD 3000 graphics and more than enough USB ports. Gigabyte's USB On/Off charge feature is pretty neat too. The serial, IDE and floppy connectors on the motherboard are pretty useless though, although expected to be present on a cheaper motherboard.

Bought this mobo for a Linux server. It's cheaper because it just has basic A/V support. It's been working great for the past couple of months. 8 USB ports on the back and you can add 4 more! Gigabit LAN but I guess that's standard. I might get a few more of these for friends.

Nice motherboard great for a basic build and room to upgrade. Built a customer a computer with this board he's very happy. No need to sell him something he'll never use.3 year warranty ATI 3000 onboard graphics, thumbs up!

Cette carte mère est est bon achat pour les gens qui desirent monter une machine de base à budget limité. Le refroidisseur du chipset est assez gros et est bien retenu sur le chipset ce qui est diférent de mes expérience antérieures avec les carte micro ATX de cette marque. Les connecteurs de cette carte sont bien localisés à part un des connecteurs SATA qui pourrait être en conflit avec un carte graphique de double épaisseur. L'installation avec Windows 7 64 bits s'est fait assez facilement.

It's by far the best motherboard you can get for AM3 + DDR3 at 60$. My motherboard (Giga 890GX) pretty much only have better cooling on it and usb3 that I will prolly never use so I don't get that much benifit over her 2x cheaper board.
