This is missing from my mobo box. Emailed Gigabyte sales support about it (even their Newegg VIP email), got nothing at all in response. Let's see if they read this evaluation and react considering that they certainly don't if you contact them via typical channels. |

Seamless build. All components worked well with this MB straight out of the box. Smooth Win7 install. Extremely nice function set, which includes external and internal connections, fans, audio. Placement/orientation of SATA connectors functions well in my tower. LED information method helpful. I appreciate nevertheless having floppy and IDE capability along with the SATA3 and USB3., along with ample USB2 and SATA2. Ideal of all worlds. As noted by other reviewers, reaching the floppy connector is a stretch in a tower. Drive should be placed in a close bay. Not certain if it will operate when I add 2nd video card. 8 pin energy connector demands some cautious routing of cable - only made workable in my particular tower case (PS mounted on bottom) with modular PS cables and the extension cable. both minor cons at this point. Read the manual very carefully, specifically to sort out the 3 diverse SATA controllers, RAID. On the web assist from Gigabyte and OCZ forums needed to get to accomplish stated memory capability of my OCZ sticks with the board's bios. Download most current drivers/bios to steer clear of concerns reported by other people. Looking forward to adding memoryǘnd video, USB3 devices. Not a gamer. Excelent board, hnds down greatest i have had. Quite nicely built. The greatest factor is the RAM it supports. I have 4 sticks of G.Skill PI+Turbulence runing at 2208 with timings of 7-10-10-28-1t at 1.648V. The board has no dilemma runing these sticks at their 2200 speed and with my i7-970 i can even run them at 2408 at a 2ᚺ ratio ()_() !! I didnt have to overclock my cpu at all my bclk is set at 138 from the stock 133! my i7-970 is runing at 3.28G when its stock is 3.2G and 3.4G with turbo enhance!! Result? Superfast ram - No extra heat from cpu and no additional pressure on cpu. None None |

Very good benchmarks, effortless setup. Very happy with this motherboard. Raid controllers are a little tricky...not for the novice if you want to set up raid arrays. But with typical knowledge with creating rigs, not a dilemma. Not sufficient to cost an egg. I had to stretch for even a slight con. |

Properly-built board with a nice layout. LGA1366, USB three. and triple channel DDR3. Lots of fancy LED indicators for voltage, load, etc. Core i7 980X users beware. There are two versions of this board, a rev 2. that supposedly has out-of-box support for Core i7 980X, and a rev 1. that requires BIOS F2 or later. (Check Gigabyte's web-site) Apparently Newegg gave me a rev 1. with an old OLD O-L-D BIOS... Can't even get the POST screen. What do they anticipate me to do, shell out another 跌 for an i7 920 just to flash my BIOS? Manufacturer Response:Thank you for your comments. Honest and constructive opinions are generally welcome. I used this board for a new I7 construct and was not disappointed. I have liked Gigabyte boards and other then getting to update the bios on this after I got it. Did not have one bit of trouble with it. I am not doing any fancy 3x SLI and insane amounts of overclocking, but I can if I want. They are probably to spec but I had a small trouble with stacked sata connectors with a couple of fat cable I got. It only came with two appropriate angle sata cable and I necessary 4. The extra two I got had fat grab points and had been difficult to function with. I just got some diverse ones not the MBs difficulty. My last Gigabyte board was for a AMD 939 build and when I was doing some maintenance in the case following I got this one I found that at some time a small resister burned out. Amazingly it did not damage the board or the capacitor that it was leaning against. The excellent design kept the board running saving the entire personal computer. Thank you Gigabyte! |

1) Uncomplicated Install. No troubles. Booted proper up.2) Has a range of BIOS settings in order to acquire a stable overclock.3) Came with the newest BIOS ver. of 03ቦ which adds much more compatibility to memory sticks.4) Is fully compatible with my lately bought Core i7 980x Extreme. Floppy connector is placed too far to the left finish of the board.I can barely fit the cable more than my GTX280 video card as a result. The 1st board would not POST - bought however at a neighborhood retail chain rather of Newegg. Big mistake there!!!To add to my misery, they claimed there was NO exchange or refunds on MOBOS or memory, and that my only recourse was to directly RMA ship the defective board to Gigabyte. Wow! Envision that!Nevertheless, I quite reluctantly shipped the item to Gigabyte, expecting a lengthy turnaround. However, to my pleasant surprise - in much less than a week, got a replacement board that POSTS. :-) YAY!A really Massive thanks to the folks at Gigabyte for promptly handling this problem!!! |

This is my private rig, so I opted for a bit "beefier" board than the X58A-UD3, but it is an great board as properly. I sited my string of first-post builds as good luck, but it is likely additional attributable to Gigabyte's particularly high good quality and my pre-purchase compatibility research. This construct consists of this board, an I7 950, 12gb Patriot Sector7 1600MHz RAM, and an EVGA Superclocked GTX 560 Ti. It purrs really nicely. |

The bios will most likely want to be updated but not that difficult with the software program on the disk. The bios will automatically overclock your CPU also with the Intel increase technology, so watch for that. Bios can be a bit tricky for the untrained individual, so leave that to us specialists please. |

A nice, rapidly board with all the features that I wanted. I only just lately got the second network controller working, but necessary to upgrade the bios (twice) and download a new driver to do so. The original bios (and very first upgrade) and driver kept installing the second ethernet controller as a 1394. The sataIII controller didn't want to recognize my drives until I had it reinstall its code from the bios. Tech support was no aid on this difficulty. They always responded promptly, but apparently don't really read the messages, so it is an endless repeating of the facts--presumably until you solve the dilemma on your own (as here), or just go away.I get blue screens following getting gone into sleep mode when I then later shut down. Nonetheless tracking that problem's solution, but meanwhile I just don't use sleep mode.Don't count on the rebate. I bought two of these months ago and don't have any rebate. That portion of the pricing is just a scam. It seems beautifully built, I hope that has long term meaning related with it. |

Construct quality is *outstanding*. Great attention to detail. Many attributes. Definitely very durable fabrication. Finest motherboard I've seen recently. Works wonderfully for an OSX machine (well-supported). Genuinely, really, none. I can\'t criticize this board. I hope other producers realize there is a actual marketplace for *quality* and follow suit. I will definitely obtain Gigabyte again. Go acquire it! :) |

Has to return this board for Asus P5XD-E (which suppose to have shipped Bios to support 980x) User beware of obtaining this board with those most recent CPU.. make sure it has the shipped bios to support the chip you will get, you will keep away from the problem i got... receiving a board which won't support the chip, and can't find a way to update the Bios... It is challenging to come across an older 1366 to update the Bios. Can't come across any PC shop which has an spare 1366 chip to update the Bios for you. |

why don't you people today be more honest in your rating of your tech information?Give Gigabyte a break ya maroons.1st of all the reason why Gigabyte and just about every other motherboard manufacturer out there is going with the edge facing out SATA connectors is mainly because 1. video cards are finding larger and when they face out the similar direction of the mother board some video cards are either blocking the slot or producing it rediculously challenging to put 1 in there. two. The challenging drive is generally to the perfect of the motherboard perfect? proper! so how freakin hard is it to slide a SATA clip from the perfect side of the board into a slot that faces the very same direction. To prove how rediculous your complaints are, I explained what to do to my 5 yr old son and he walked up grabbed the clip and slid it into the slot in under 2 seconds. If my 5 yr old son can do it why can't you?????? users who whine in critiquesGo by an ASRock that has no telephone support and wait three weeks to get someone to respond to you due to the fact the 1st two weeks they are on vacation for chinese new year and then they take forever to respond to you and then argue with you or buy an ASUS mobo and get transported around from one moron to one more for 3 hours at a time. You'll suddenly start to be englightened about Gigabyte or EVGA mobo's. Subsequent to all you whiners who are supposedly pc authorities whining about Gigabyte getting bad mobo's since they read your 1600 ram as 1066.... please you marons find out how to read and do a little analysis before you asssssume and make a total ehhaaaah out of yourselves.First of all the i7 chips chipset only runs at 1066 mhz so that's what all motherboards will read 1600 memory at until you adjust your bios. Now there may possibly be a mobo bios out there that is pre adjusted to automatically read 1600 or 1333 at their oc'd rating but as far as I know they all start off out at 1066 and you adjust them up in your bios. I would suggest going to 1333 initially then f10 your bios and accept the alter and then go back in and bump up to 1600.If you folks are going to write in and diss a respected mobo manufacturer with a excellent reputation then why don't you analysis 1st.Have you even noticed how gigabyte reads these forums and actually has a newegg/gigabyte.com forum for tech support? |

* Wonderful/easy overclocking* LED display on the motherboard for showing error codes* CMOS clearing button* USB three/SATA 6 This thing says it has three PCI Express slots so you'd feel you could use all of them. This is not the case... You can't use the bottom one if you have the front USB connection plugged in OR the IDE connection. You literally can't push the card into the slot since the cables get in the way. So I'm stuck putting video cards in slots 1 and 2, which creates an extraordinary quantity of heat. My main video card idles 30 degrees Celcius hotter than it does without having a second video card installed simply because they can't be separated. Also, there are reviews on here talking about how this motherboard makes a buzzing sound. I bought 1 anyway thinking theirs ought to be defective. It genuinely did buzz loudly each so frequently for the 1st couple of days I had it but it hasn't at all in the past few weeks. Hopefully it's accomplished doing that.... The problem with the third slot is the only reason why I'm not giving this factor 5 eggs. I have an i7 930 clocked at four.2GHz with this factor and I believe it's a great board.I don't know what to say about the buzzing although... Hopefully it doesn't come back. |

Glad I bought, great features, USB 3. and SATA III are nice. Extremely slow timing from when I turn the PC on till it goes to POST. Freezes at POST when I " Reset ". Key reason I'm only giving this three eggs. CPU/RAM multipler were set to " Auto " by default, which had my CPU at 2.0Ghz and ram at 1066 rather of it's stock two.66Ghz and 1600Mhz. Wasn't a dilemma to fix although. |

This board was the basis of my i7 develop. I had previously built an Intel P35 Gigabyte board, so I was familar with their product line. Needless to say, it's wonderful. I had no problems whatsoever with my create; the machine cranked up with no problems. Performance with my i7 930 CPU is incredible. And, the board's layout is incredibly attractive. No genuine cons, just a suggestion: the SATA ports are at a suitable angle, on the lower right edge of the board. I would pre-install all your SATA cables just before installing the board in your case. Produced it less difficult for me. I received v2. of the board just a handful of days ago, and I noticed that there is currently a new BIOS. Be sure to check the Gigabyte web web site and use the most up-to-date drivers.
