GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Comment:
None As mentioned, this card DOES have significant troubles. Gray or black screen freeze or vertical stripes causing total Computer lockup. The poor critiques are NOT for "no reason at all". It is NOT just a driver concern because this can and does occur during clean Windows install or on boot up ahead of drivers come into play. These cards are defective. Period. I don't assume it's Gigabyte's fault, because this problem is being observed on all 5000 series cards by all manufacturers. This card is as excellent as any other 5770...you roll the dice when you buy a single. Not to mention the performance is about the very same as a GTS 250, way brief of where it ought to be. Directx 11? Who cares when this 128 bit card will never ever run Directx 11 games at a palyable frame rate?

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Comment:
CrossFireX was uncomplicated to enable, settings had been uncomplicated to comprehend (based on novice's viewpoint), excellent value for the dollars. Quite simple to install and setup, I applied two of these cards in tandem for this specific laptop or computer. HOT, HOT, HOT, let me repeat that if you didn't get it. This card, in any high end game, with your games video settings turned all the way up will appear fabulous, and create TONS of heat, and the fans do not often turn up to best speed like they are supposed to, in CCC I can only get the master video card fan to go to 100%. However, this is not sufficient heat dissipation, I installed two extra fans that I could manage, and no much more BSOD's due to overheated video card(s) These cards Ought to have additional fans to support them, the heatsink and fan and shroud are fantastic seeking, but they alone do not meet the heat dissipation needs that are demanded by this cards heat generation.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Comment:
High quality build design. The batmanesque cooler doesnt appear quite as gawdy in individual. Very easily overclocked making use of CCC to 960 core 1400 mem. Didnt even attempt to go additional. Stays nice and cool in my antec 300 case. Idle temps range in the 30 c's, Max load temps overclocked with 65% fan speed 64c. Averaged 38.7 fps in heavens benchmark running at 1900x1080, 4xaa 4ap high settings tesselation disabled. Averaged 33.6 fps under the very same settings with tesselation on moderate. Havent had considerably of any driver troubles immediately after setting the technique up correctly (see other thoughts).Runs my games at full 1080p highest settings no troubles whatsoever.Gigabyte = high quality. Had tons of problems when I initial put this card in, none which had been of any fault of the card. Alot of occasions individuals on here rate the item incorrectly based on human/settings errors and its just not fair. At first I couldnt get this thing to perform no way no how. 2 minutes into playing a game it would fail miserably and I would have to do a hard reboot. My bios post said "overclocking failed", so I figured perhaps I would just have to lower my cpu overclock a bit. Tried that, no go, tried going back to all default bios settings, card nonetheless didnt work, and when it crashed it still said overclock failed in my bios. The only factor that produced me think the card was nonetheless working correctly was while the card was working for a couple of minutes, it was playing beautifully. So I downloaded driver sweeper, uninstalled all ati drivers and ccc center, booted in safe mode to run driver sweeper, and it turns out waaaay old drivers from an nvidia 8800gt were nonetheless on there. Swept all ati and nvidia drivers clean, reinstalled 5770, updated drivers, voila!!! Success. Card works flawlessly now on my exact same cpu overclock PIIx4 955 @ three.9ghz. If you have related results as I did, attempt the above fix!

It looks like Batman. It works in a Hackintosh. It works in Windows. I don't game, so I can't say anything about that. But OS X by no means complained about it at all! Some would say it searching like Batman is a drawback. I disagree. Ought to have for Hackintosh.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Comment:
Properly I truly like mine so far. Idles at 30-35ºC and stays cool even though gaming too. Admittedly I run a reasonably low resolution due to the fact I have a modest monitor 񡿖x768) but in games like Starcraft II with high settings it's smooth as can get. Pretty bulky, it takes up two slots in the case. This is fairly minor to me since it's the only factor that's making use of any of the slots (Antec Three Hundred case). For lower resolutions like mine I wouldn't pick any other card suitable now.

Very good cost, DirectX 11, Eyefinity, low(ish) power consumption, and not to mention good performance. Can't believe of any. I purchased a pair of these to replace my 8800GT. What a distinction!I was worried that my energy supply wouldn't be able to deal with them, but it does just fine. It's a 600w model. Also, the fan shrouds appear a lot like batmobiles.

Fantastic for gaming and HD videos! Don't obtain if you let your computer sleep rather than shutdown. It won't turn back on. Also, the drivers for this card have serious issues. I attempted this card in five diverse computers yet every person of them came up with some new problem. 1 of them wouldn't even play fundamental Yahoo games. If you can avoid this card you ought to. It's not a gigabyte issue, it's an ATI concern. I was a key ATI fan until lately. Go with the equally priced Fermi 450 from NVidia. You'll get additional for your funds!

Cons: not the shiniest/newest card out there.

Pros: reasonably priced, good upgrade for an older system

i got this in mid dec 2010 so i could run SC-II on my 2 yr old computer (phenom II 720, 4GB DDR-2). does the job well. runs it on the highest possible setting without any issues i 1280x1024. yet to try it on 1920x1080 since i don't have a monitor for it, but i imagine it should be reasonable.it's a great upgrade for a not-too-recent system; for a new system i'd consider something newer.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Cons: Many of my games (Heroes of Newerth, World of Warcraft) will play fine for about 30 minutes before the computer throws a Blue Screen naming the graphics card (BCCode 116 atikmpag.sys) as the culprit, my temperatures never go above 70*C even on high settings. This will sometimes happen even when the computer is idle for a couple of hours.

Pros: Runs every game I've had on it on medium to high settings.-Runs very quiet, my side fans are much louder.-Runs pretty cool (
Comment:
GIGAbyte website do not provide newest driver. You have to download from AMD. But with this price, this card is good value. (If my mail in rebate will come back.)

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Cons: Fan is a bit noisy when run under full load; pricey, considering it's only $40 cheaper post-tax/rebate than the MSI GTX460 760Mb

Pros: The chip runs cool even under load; like the batman outfit; low power consumption
Comment:
I bought this Gigabyte 5770 video card for the sole purpose of running Starcraft 2 (did not even have video card in PC before), and it runs the game very smoothly on ultra settings, even during huge battles.Did not purchase the GTX460 which was only $40 more on sale, simply because my computer's power supply cannot handle it and I don't want to spend extra money on its upgrade. To things in context, my PC has an Intel E6750 and 4Gb DDR2 RAM. An aging computer for sure, but after installing this video card it's totally up to the task.

Cons: Read a lot of expert reviews and I haven't found a single bad one.

Pros: Buy it now while it's on special!!!!!!!
Comment:
Haven't received it yet but I have had a gigabyte 250 GTS 1gb for a year now, it's very quiet and according to the reviews I've read this one is even quieter. It is a mid range dream at the price ncix sells it now, Grab it while you have the chance! Had to write it before receiving it or your chance to grab it at this sick price will be gone. Have I mentionned it's DX11? it also has all the features of the 58xx series.

Cons: ATI drivers?

Pros: -Fast-Cool-Power efficient-Nice Price/Performance ratio
Comment:
I bought this Gigabyte 5770 from another retailer to crossfire it with my XFX 5770, and the results are really good. In some games, the performance goes over %200!The card is also cooler than the reference ones due to the fan system that GIgabyte implemented on that card.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Cons: When in a CrossFire configuration the inside card does get much warmer than the outside one, CrossFire is limited to two cards.

Pros: High quality Ultra Durable components, very quiet, decent warranty, in single card operation it runs very cool, low power consumption, DirectX 11 support, HDMI & Display Port along with two DVI connectors for a total of four monitor hookups per card, Eyefinity.
Comment:
Overall a great little card, it has replaced a hot and noisy GeForce GTX260 in my home theater system and amazingly enough performs just as well and bitstreams audio to my HDTV via HDMI without issue. The GTX260 could not do this.Power consumption is much lower than the GTX260 while offering very comparable performance, operating temperatures are also much lower than the GTX260. My only minor gripes has to do with using this card in a CrossFire configuration. The interior card does get quite warm when gaming, and CrossFire supports only one link (Two cards).Overall a very good card, I own three of them and am very satisfied.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 GV-R577UD-1GD Video Card
Cons: -looks like a batmobile-a lot of heat does escape into the case rather than through the side vent

Pros: -Cheap-Larger fan (80mm one)-Better cooling than the encased video cards
Comment:
I used this card to crossfire with my XFX HD 5770. The results turned out pretty good. Only problem is that not all the heat escapes through the outside vent and around half escapes into the case. But the card is much cooler than its competitors (probably because it has better ventilation since it has no enclosed case and a nice 80 mm fan) This review was modfied by poster @ 04-18-10 05:21 PM

There was an error on the product title in the website when this video card was first posted that said "1xDVI and 1xVGA" instead of the corrected title "2XDVI" so when I was purchasing it with $20 savings ($159) I was wondering maybe that's what it was cheaper than other brand 5770 but I got it and saw 2 DVI at home so I was pretty happy. The error was only there for few days and I just dig this card with decent price which fully supports DX11 features and had no issues with all the games I played
