Pros:cold and fast

Seems to running well, I m not an expert but it works well, scores a 7.8 on windows and runs really cool, idling at 31-33 and up to 37 without overdrive on or fan speeds increased (generic 40% speed)

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:When dual carding there is not much room for air flow between the cards :/

Pros:Runs Quietly.Pretty good temperature.Efficient and powerful for its price.
Comment:
Wonderful card, I bought two to crossfire together and boy do they run well. Grabbed the latest drivers and popped in battlefield on ultra with very little lag, a little tweaking and I had it running at a consistent frame right. I'd recommend even just one to anyone building a gaming PC on what I would consider a medium budget (Mine costed about $1300 with boxing day sales and all) and easily grab a second one if you're willing to drop  some extra money for a bit more performance. It runs quietly too which is always a nice bonus.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Comment:
-It's a fantastic card-amazing cooling-does pretty much every thing I could ask of it, practically.915Mhz core clock isn't no joke -NO VOLTAGE CONTROLS, these guys have a sick sense of humor, making an overclocked card, and then disabling the voltage controls. I'm confident this infant could hit a core clock of 1000Mhz without breaking a sweat, but with no the power of voltage manage, 940 is the highest stable speed you'll hit.-It's also kinda lengthy ྪ.five inches, but not substantially of a con.) Gigabyte please let us voltage control =[ I deducted an egg for that alone, since it is very a let down. It has all these fans, but they don't ever even have to go past 50% speed.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:Developed artifacts within two days of ownership. Not really a con, but this thing is huge! Something to be aware of when buying. It did fit in my case (Antec 300) but barely cleared the drive enclosures.

Pros:When it worked it was great - ran everything flawlessly at max settings.
Comment:
Card started developing artifacts within two days use.Tried the 11.12 and 12.1 drivers but neither helped.I mostly play BF3 & Mount & Blade Warband & the artifacts in M&B were terrible - had to shut down the game & restart to get rid of them (though they'd come back within 10 mins)Artifacts also persisted on desktop once games were shut down, making doing anything else difficult unless I rebooted the PC.Reinstalled the old 8800GTX and the artifacts disappeared.Sent it back RMA today so will update  review & give an actual score when I get the replacement. Fingers crossed that the next one works properly

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:Quite large

Pros:Looks great (physically) and displays an excellent picture.
Comment:
This is an excellent card for the price point, no complaints. Concern with the size of it being a bit of a strain on the PCI-E fitting (and not just this particular card), but it seems to do alright.

The card scores 7.8 for Aero and 3D Gaming in the Windows Experience Index running on Win 7. I am very happy with this card so far, Great card for the price. Also always very impress with NCIX service and support, keep up the good work NCIX and thanks.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:Bad reputations on newegg that these cards are notorious for artifacting and dying. Scary for those who don't want to take risk.

Pros:This card is incredible! Plays all the new games on ULTRA with no lag! Fast rendering and great bang for the buck!
Comment:
Mind you I read about this card prior to purchsing it. Those who have a working card have nothing but good things to say about this card and I now see why. This card is absolutely worth the money in everyway. Performs way past expectations! Sadly about 70% of those who bought this card, ended up with multiple RMA cases. Apparently this card is known for being faulty from factory and is difficult to get a good one. I guess it's a draw of luck? When I first put it in, and start it up... there was a slight artifacting whenever the PC is booting up and the screen is black (usually at DOS bootup) however it's perfectly fine in windows. So I tried to burn in the card by updating to the newest drivers and playing 6 hours of skyrim on ultra! Guess what? this monster works flawless! Now even during the boot up, I get no artifacts whatsoever! This card is so good, I'm recommending it too all my co-workers and gaming enthusiast friends! It's a must for intense-hardcore gamers! If you're an extreme-hardcore gamer then well.. you wouldn't be looking at this review in the first place hahah

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:Very Large(All The 6870 Are)

Pros:Great Card, Good Build Quality, Optimal Cooling, Can Play Almost All Games On High.
Comment:
This is a great card for the money. Got it at Christmas been playing on i since full 1080P. Have Played Oblivion, Skyrim, GTA4, Saints Row 3, Dirt 3, and some others with the graphics all maxed out, Zero lag or frame drop. Have done some 3D rendering on this card which did admirably although still out shined by professional card as it's a gaming card. Only downside so far is the size, I currently have a Full Tower case with ample amounts of room inside but do to the side fan on my case the power cord is only about 3mm away from the blades when closed so it is quite a beast.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:Card is absolutely huge - could be trouble for users with mid-size towers; card is not able to oc too high; seems as though voltages are not able to be adjusted on this card, so its limited for overclockability.

Pros:Quiet and cool operation; price for performance value is as good as it gets; energy efficient; powerful card on its own or in crossfire.
Comment:
I purchased this card during boxing week to run with my existing 6870 (Sapphire, reference card, flashed to black edition bios) and will end up paying $160 after tax with the rebate.. SOLID!The first thing to notice about the card is that its massive.. I mean really massive. I have a stacker 830 and when installed it has about 2 1/2 inches clearance from the drive bay.. in smaller cases this could definitely be a challenge to fit. The second thing is that the cooler is very interesting.. all three fans sit in a different angle to better cool the card. One complaint is that it does not exhaust the heat out the back, but rather back into the case, so make sure to have adequate case cooling. For me this too doesn't really matter, but its worth mentioning.Performance wise, I am impressed. The card runs cool even though its slightly overclocked.. ran a quick 3dmark11 and it got 3876 points in performance mode (with a 2600k q 4.6ghz)Mainly I got it to crossfire with my 6870 and the perfomance is great. I haven't tried to overclock it further, but it should be able to reach around 930/940 on the core with its stock voltage. Skyrim cranked out to full everything with several mods and its pinned at 60fps and smooth as could be.I'm a bit disappointed that the card doesn't seem to allow for voltage manipulation as my existing 6870 I flashed and runs at 975/1150 with a voltage boost.. because of this, they have to run at lower clocks together. Not too huge a deal since crossfire performance is good enough that the cards don't really need to be overclocked, but still would be nice for guys like me who want to overclock and bench. Anyone who buys this card with this intention, be warned! For this reason, I give the card 4 stars.. if it was able to overclock higher, considering that it has great cooling, it would be an easy 5 all the way. Oh, and not sure what guys are saying about this cooler being noisy.. this card added virtually no noise to my setup. Running at 30-50% fan speed its pretty much quiet. leave this card on automatic and go play!!

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:long

Pros:QuietGood performanceCrossfire
Comment:
Bought this to Crossfire my XFX 6870 Black Edition. Overclocked to 940mhz and 1150mhz (memory) to match my XFX factory overclocked card. The only this about this card is that it is really really long, a good inch and a half longer that my XFX card. Not really a problem in my HAF 932, but keep it in mind if you have a smaller case.

Cons:Non yet minus the first one being a lemon.

Pros:Very quiet works great

Im on my second card as my first one was pretty much DOA. Was more annoyed with the return process(RMA) of NCIX then anything. Took about two weeks for the new card to arrive but it has been working flawlessly since. Play BF3 and MW3 without any issues no lag or chop and a great upgrade over my GTX275. Only odd part was NCIX said if you removed the manufacteurs sticker with the serial # and such off warranty would be void but thats the only way Gigabyte would accept the rebate.

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:-Card is huge. Had to move hard drive to make room to fit.

Pros:-Cheap card.-Windforce keeps card cool. 3 heatpipes.-Hi FPS at max settings in Crossfire.-Better cooling design than reference.-Best performance and price for Crossfire setup.
Comment:
I brought 2 of these to run Crossfire with an AMD 955BE O/C 16GB setup. A massive improvement coming from a GeForce 8800GTS 320MB.It was like a night and day difference. Every game set at max runs smooth without any problems. I get over 50+ FPS. It's gets warm but with 3 fans windforce it's keeps the temp down. It's a bit overclock so quicker. For a pair of these at $320 it's worth getting than a single card at that price range. The only bad thing is the size of it. I had to move my HD to make room because of the length of card. Make sure you case is large enough to install it in. I definitely recommend this for those who are one a budget with Crossfire setup.

I have a XFX Dual Fan 6870 and I picked this up to do crossfire.I installed this card ALONE at first to make sure it was okay. It idles 10 degrees higher than my XFX with the fans TWICE as high (30% vs 15%) and the noise with the fan set to 50% is noticeably louder than the XFX. Honestly, I'm not impressed with this card. It's 2 inches longer than the XFX, has more fins for cooling, yet runs louder and hotter. That makes no sense to me. I plan on returning the card and ordering the XFX version. On the plus side, the card performs just as well in games as the XFX card, and was able to achieve the same OC as I had before.

Comment:
Card is nicely worth the price. Had 2 4890s which went belly up due to heat troubles. Replaced them with this unit which runs cool and quiet. A lot more powerfull than two 4890s in crossfire. Every little thing appears to run superior. None Fans aren't noisy at all definitely quieter than what I took out. Crossfiring ATI boards appears to be a waste of time. I had heat troubles with one 4890 so I took it out and the remaining card seemed to run greater with fewer troubles until it too went bad. I guess it's some sort of material breakdown which causes excessive heat buildup under specific conditions. Never ever had that challenge just before. May well try it again in crossfire if price gets low enough but I doubt it as there is truly no require for even overclocking much much less crossfiring.

Je l'ai installé sur ma carte mère Z68XP-UD4 (sku:62197) avec un power supply Corsair 500W (sku:60329) et dans un boîtier Antec 300 (sku:.29812). Pour le boîtier c'est limite. GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6870 GV-R687OC-1GD Video Card with Eyefinity
Cons:Longer than the average card! Free game access codes do not come with card, but are emailed a few days after receiving it.

Pros:Excellent performance without high temperatures or prices. Bonus games seal the deal.
Comment:
Looking at this card in comparison to what's directly above and below it in the AMD line, the 6850 and 6950, it hits the exact sweet spot for price/performance. It is also substantially quieter and cooler in temperature than my previous 4890. I am not a fan of Gigabyte's rebate provider, since they send a preloaded Amex card, but that's just a detail. The only major problem was that this card is very long, and required some interesting placement of SATA cables to get around it.When I purchased it included two free games (Shogun Total War and Deus Ex), which is neat because I likely would have bought them eventually anyway. The codes to install them (both through Steam, btw) were not included, but were emailed 2 days after I received the card.
