Garmin 1350T GPS, Text-to-Speech, FM Traffic

My sister-in-law got an older model Garmin last year and I took hers for a ride. I liked it so much I just had to get a Garmin for myself. Everything works great just like her older model. This newer model has the Eco Route that allows you to keep track of your gas milage which is a nice feature. One draw back is that when you use it in pedestrian mode it doesn't speek to you. Haven't tried bicycle mode yet. Maybe this has been fixed in the firmware updates, havn't used pedestriam mode lately.

Bought this to replace a factory installed GPS in our car that made us crazy. The Nuvi can be used in either of our vehicles, can be used while the car is in motion (unlike the factory installed one) and is very simple and straightforward to operate. We travel quite a bit for pleasure and look forward to taking this on the road (and on foot) wherever we go.

This is a awesome addition to any vehicle. The price was sick, and the performance is GREAT. I recommend this unit to anyone that wants stain control to where ever they want to go.

Bought it for my wife. She got a new job in Beverly Hills and does not know the area. she ended up getting lost her first day at work. We borrowed a tom tom while ours got here. Not bad but this one blows it out with the traffic feature. Her drive time has been cut in half. trips that used to take between 1 - 1.5 hours now take 30-45 minutes. Worth every penny.

This item has everything I wanted. Several years ago we bought a Garmin for a trip to Europe that had North American and Europe maps - a disaster travelling in Europe, but the replacement worked great in NA. So I went with Garmin again because the replacement worked great, and I wasn't disappointed. I don't use the traffic feature in Edmonton nor the Bluetooth but other than that it works perfect. Love love love the eco route feature. Really makes me conscientious about the cost of driving. I wish the maps were more up-to-date. My map update is missing some of the newer areas and road systems that really should be there. Yes, sometimes it picks what I know is a longer route, but is quick to recalculate using a shorter route if I start out using that shorter route. It's just a great little unit. No problems, and will definitely go with Garmin again. Love it.

This unit does everything you could ever want. The screen is great and the unit performs fast. I cannot imagine making the GPS any better at this point in time.

They do not include a full manual. If you download it, you will find on Pg 47 how to easily calibrate the touch screen so it works very nicely. Perhaps unrelated, you will need to supply your own USB cable to install the firmware update (V4.10). One free map update is included, but must be used within 60 days of registration.

Right out of the box it was a problem. Touch keys weren't calibrated. 45 minutes on hold with Garmin and a lecture on my bad attitude from the customer service rep didn't help matters in the least. So the product was basically useless. In the box it goes for a refund but not in time for Christmas.

This is my 4th Garmin GPS and they just keep getting more and more amazing. The traffic warnings for the 400-series highways around Toronto are sometimes more timely than the radio. The flexible routing algorithm is simply astounding as it has found brand-new-to-me routes around traffic problems and saved many frustrations.

For the most part it's pretty good and the route it takes gets you there but sometimes it picks a poor route. In New Jersey it choose to take local roads for about 20 miles rather than stay on the parkway which was about two miles longer. The ''Lane Assist'' is sometimes picks the wrong lanes.

have been using it from 10 days & has been very good. Traffic information is not that great but that was expected of FM traffic

Excellent. It performs exactly as described in the ad. I have not had a chance to use the traffic feature. If you don't require Bluetooth,this is the unit to buy.

I LOVE this GPS but am hard pressed to give it 5 stars. The mapping, clarity and directions are great but the traffic never seems to show up. I've placed 3 called to garmin about it. I'm driving on major road and never get traffic statuses. STILL I love the GPS functionality itself. The way it give you the turns is amazing. It breaks down the lane you should be in so its nearly impossible to miss your exit.

I've seen this GPS working and it sure beats the older models. ONLY reason that I haven't purchased this particular model is because it doesn't have bluetooth for cell phone calling and answering. Why didn't they include that option with all their high end GPS units?

Knocked the performance not because of the unit but due to the map information that is being used. There are phantom streets and the street location. My home address is about a third mile off and a street -has no name- on map just does not exist. Still learning about some features. Overall happy with the purchase. Traffic feature appears to be great but still remains to be seen.

Fantasic GPS unit. Has everything you need, quick locator and 1000's of point of interest. This price can not be beat..
