Great power, in a position to power via something I throw at it...for now. Size, not complaining but it takes up a good chunk of space on the mainboard.

It's fairly darn quiet and I located it to be nicely made. It's quicker than my 4850 which I upgraded from, now letting me run MoH at all High settings, when prior to I had to settle for Medium, yet my EVE overall performance seems to be exactly the very same. I'm not certain if I need to transform some sliders and experiment a bit additional, or if the 4850 and 6850 are pretty similar when using only 1 HD monitor (like I am now.) Perhaps I require to add a second display (or 3rd) to actually expertise the benefits of a 6850 more than a 4850. I'll fiddle around. None. It's my 1st HIS card. I've used 3 ASUS cards in the previous. I like the way this one looks and how quiet it is. When Idle it sits about 38 celsius, and hits around 55 celsius when I'm gaming. Not too bad. A small warmer than my old 4850, but not by substantially.

At initially I thought this was a fantastic card, low energy consumption, excellent video excellent. Immediately after having this card for about four months now, the fan has began generating horrible noises and won't spin up fully, the card overheats creating me shut down my Pc. Also, ATI Nonetheless has not released drivers that completely support this card. Of course, it waited to start out failing till following I had thrown the box away, making returning it a PITA. All my good friends told me to get a GTX460 rather, but I tried to save a buck - guess you get what you pay for. I've purchased nvidia cards for almost 15 years now, thought ATI finally deserved a shot - immediately after this experience, I'll be sticking with Nvidia from now on. Gave the card 2 stars due to the fact it wasn't DOA and looks pretty in my situation, tho IMO failing inside 120 days is quite horrible. Value - Functionality is really great. I am not trying to OC this card. I am just using it as it was intended. I have connected three Monitors connected to it with an HIS Active Display Port adapter. Eyefinity is OUTSTANDING and now that I have performed it, I am by no means going back to two monitors. Even for work I uncover that three is great. But for gaming, it is an unreal experience. NONE - I did notice the DVI situation talked about by other people, but I run my monitors in DVI mode so I don't need to have to use an adapter to a VGA cable. Even though for some with older monitors it may possibly be an problem. My guess is that most men and women acquiring this card have newer monitors with DVI connectors. Also, I did not have any wake up troubles with this card on any of three monitors I use that others have written about. Get 1 and begin operating Eyefinity!!!Win 7 Practical experience scores on my system.7.7 - Graphics7.7 - Gaming Graphics

Extremely very good card for the price tag.Does what i will need it to.Runs all current games at max settings. Newegg has it listed as a 256-bit card, which is one particular of the causes I bought it. I have just now realized that not only is my specific card NOT 256-bit, but that on AMD/ATI internet site the maximum bus listed for the card is 128 bit... It's a fantastic card and i'm happy with it, i'm just very confused why they have it listed as a 256 bit card when it's a 128 bit. I really feel deceived and mislead and am not confident what to do about it. I was going to order an additional of these to place in crossfire but now i'm not so certain i want to :/

Truly purchased this by mistake - believed I was ordering the Sapphire brand - but have been using it anyway (for ฤ less.) Outstanding improvement in vid. quality more than the 4850. Low cost plastic covering more than the board - 6-pin power connector is a bit iffy, the connector doesn't look to lodge tightly - but no problems as soon as set up. I use this machine for media, not games, but as said, the image good quality is excellent. No will need for overclocking.ASUS Sabertooth 551Intel core i5 750 Lynnefield4GB Vital RAM DDR3 1600 (don't use more than 4GB with the Lynnefields - they only run at 1333Mhz anyway and won't function at all with 8GB.)

Excellent card, does anything I throw at it and additional so it seems. Assassin's Creed II, BFBC2, Anno 1404, Dragon Age, Dead Space, Mass Effect two, Starcraft 2 (new max setting) and can't keep in mind anything else off leading my head all max.. Gonna do Crysis later this week sometime but I'm confident it'll execute just fine. As soon as Dead Space II comes out and Dragon Age II comes out, I have no doubt in my thoughts I can max them out as effectively, which I can not wait for either!!People having problems with the software program is effectively on their finish simply because it functions perfectly for me. BFBC2 causes a lot of tearing when overclocked and AC2, and seems unstable.. could be just the driver software program simply because I use the stock driver computer software from the CD lol. So I guess I wouldn't suggest completely overclocking it out the wazoo till a more stable driver comes around. Was hoping for some better efficiency than what people today were getting on the important reviews but I knew what I was getting so no eggs docked there. I have an AMD B60 Quad at three.2GHz with Corsair XMS3 8GB ddr3 RAM at 1600mhz so I know for a reality it's not my technique bottlenecking. Properly if I had the patience and was willing to pay much more than 赨 (double each and every single piece of hardware in my complete construct) I would've certainly sprung for the 6870 instead.. Apparently there's some decent FPS jumps from the two so I guess just wished I had the income lol End though: obtain 6870 if you got the cash, but if you wanna be beneath spending budget (under 200 for a single piece of hardware) then absolutely get this 6850, by far finest bang for the buck.

This is a great card. I was originally seeking at a GTX460 but waited till these cards came out to see how effectively they would evaluate.Benchmarks and in game critiques are all more than the place for these two cards, quite close in efficiency with the 6850 edging out the 460 in just about all circumstances at reference clock speeds. The best is I got mine by means of a seller using Newegg at only 139.99 shipped brand new :-D only allowed to get one particular, time to uncover one more fantastic deal and run these puppies in crossfire and overtake the 470 and attempt to kiss a 480. fan and situation style are ok, but could have been designed far better for cooling and exhaust purposes, but doesn't run that hot at all in my situation ࿅* idle኏* peak).460's and Fermi's are much better at OC'ing but these cards are fairly excellent as well 鿄mhz capable). You truly wont need to have to OC it even though to run any game at acceptable rates.BC2 is maxed, NFS:HP is maxed, GTA4 is essentially maxed at native HD res on my projector My new rig:- AMD 1055T- ASROCK 880G Extreme three (Tri Fire!)- 4gig Patriot (single dimm for now)- Raidmax Hybrid 2 730w psu- HIS Radeon HD6850- SG Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm 32MB Cache- Samsung BD/DVD+RW combo drive- NZXT M59 Situation (Stealthed and Blue LED out)- Roswell LED Blowers x4- Mo Powa!!!

Runs practically each and every game I throw at it on max settings. (Bad Business two, STALKER series, etc.) None that I can think of. 1 of the best value for efficiency ratio cards out there. Costs on average ฤ much less than a 1GB GTX 460, and runs just as properly, if not superior. Would certainly advise this for people searching to upgrade to a mid-range card.

Quiet and smoothly plays every thing my brother-in-law throws at it. No heat problems. Fantastic price tag for efficiency. Not a con so substantially as to be aware that this card is large and will take up additional slots. Some complain about the flimsy casing but seriously once you install what's to worry? It's quiet, cool, and does whatever you ask of it.It comes 3D prepared, and with the proper programs, you can be operating 3D shutter glasses blu-rays without having the added proprietary gear (Which is a big plus compared to the Nvidia 3D cards, which want either Nvidia's glasses, and receiver, or a really expensive driver update). It comes with all that, and is affordable! You could simply crossfire two of these cards, and get optimal signal, for cheaper than buying a larger finish card that can do the similar. Wish it had at least and 8-Pin power plug, as an alternative of six. Fundamentally is limits the amount of power you can supply to the card, and thus limit overclocking, but I don't need to have to overclock the card, so I'm ok. I am not a gamer, and bought this card for a 3D Blu-Ray HTPC setup, and it does whatever I throw at it. I am about to run 3DMark 11 and see what it scores, but I am guessing quite high for the cost.

It's a realatively low-cost card, with DX11 and a ton of memory on board. Eyefinity is a extremely good point to have. Actually can't consider of any as of yet. This card is sitting in a old pentium 4 Dell with 1.five gig ram, only since my most recent construct is wainting on the motherboard to come in by way of RMA. It's the fastest factor in the dell, has not been maxed out, doesnt even turn itself off power saver at 250Mhz other than for a split second when in a blue moon.

For the price, you really cant go incorrect. This mid ranged card is used in a mid ranged gaming Computer and it performs exceptionally. Slightly OC'd it idles about 34* and gets up to around 68* in furmark. The card does not leave substantially headroom for OCing but that was to be expected in this value range. Plays games like tf2 and CSS very easily. Around 200fps on highest settings on 1920x1080, would take alot additional to pressure this card. One particular con worth mentioning, the VGA to DVI adapter was defective out of the box. Considering that VGA is reasonably unused at this point, not a huge deal. Nevertheless a defective component, but not associated to the actual card, not perform deducting an egg. Dont believe twice about pulling the trigger on this a single.

Fan is a lil loud. Also not a reference card but non of the reatil 6850s have the identical reference design. though mine idls around 37-38c and up to like 45-50ish whilst gaming. and will oc fairly excellent.

Superior Card, Worked properly, good for the funds, on the other hand this card is actually just a replacement for the 5770 atleast in terms of efficiency. Cheaply made, but nevertheless great and what do you anticipate. Also, the fan is Loud. Personally I was disappointed with the 6850 in common. I replaced my CF 5770 with CF 6850 and while I def saw performance gains it wasn't adequate. I went from a 26500 3dmark06 to a 28250. Yes I know it is an old benchmark but its still a excellent 1. Anyways I ended up returning them to newegg and obtaining 2 6950's which are beast and I would recommend if you have the dough. O also I don't believe this card is truly 256 memory interface. I read it somewhere and didn't think it then I got them and was like dang it that person was appropriate. However, don't get me wrong these are nevertheless good cards, but make sure you know what you want and if this card can meet your expectations. P.S. NEWEGG ROCkS

Quiet, quickly and pumps out great graphics. Replace my 8800 GTS 512 with this after it burnt out. Was heavily thinking about a 460 but then this came out and believed I would give AMD an additional attempt. I am very pleased I did. Runs any games I play with a smooth graphics and the FPS hardly ever make big spikes. For the cost I would highly recommend. Not a single issue to date and have owned given that appropriate soon after it came out. Was a little leary about HIS but my buddy had an old HIS card and in no way had an problem. Glad I took a opportunity on them, mainly because this thing has been spectacular. The out shell was a small more flimsy feeling than I expected, but it's not something you are handling all the time anyways.
