Plays almost everything I can throw at it at 1920x1080 with all options enabled. Will continue to do so for a although.Excellent Overclocking and Unlocking potential Loud, have to maintain the fan below 40% to sleepSize, Will make the greatest situation look like a pizza box, had to move a case fan to make space.Included Application limits O/C to five% I see a lot of individuals unlocking this with the 6970 bios. I suggest using the unlocked 6950, which just opens the extra shaders. The 6970 makes use of various memory, so if the memory on your card can't manage the other timings, you can do some really serious damage.

Runs max every little thing like AA and AF on Black Ops 100+fps which compares to my 260 core 216 which would get much less than 100 with no aa or af on and lower resolution. Stays great and awesome idles 40 degrees. Fan does run loud. I have it at 50% and something additional it sounds like an airplane taking off but as other people have mentioned not seriously a large deal since you wont want the fan any larger than that anyway. Added shaders can be unlocked it seems with no any worries and also can be flashed to a 6970 though doesnt seem to be worth it given that it can be overclocked anyway without running the threat of bricking the card.

- Crysis 2 @ 1080p Max settings runs at ㅥ fps - Max temperature immediately after session was about 75 degrees with no additional cooling- 2 GB RAM- 4 Monitor support- 2 DVI, 2 mini, HDMI ports- Under 11 inches long- No Dumb character art on the label- Not terribly power demanding, 500w is acceptable, and if youre reading evaluations for this card you likely already have some thing 𞻬- Power connector is on the side, not the end of the card.- Capable to unlock to 6970 (havent completed this yet although)- For how powerful it is, the noise under no circumstances got as loud as i expected from the fan- Exceptional packaging and accessories integrated. - Nevertheless a pretty extended card, ㅂ.6" , just make positive you have a huge sufficient Mid/full situation, but thats barely a con at all, and more of a requirement.- Two 6 pin cables expected, but however once again, additional of a standard and much less of a con. Had to bend my difficult drive bay a wee bit to get the last bit of clearance for this lengthy card, but that is totally my fault and not HIS, I am upgrading to a Zalman Z9 Plus soon and that will fix my space problem. This card was not as loud as I expected it to be from reading other individuals evaluations just before getting. This card crushes any game any a regular resolution proper now, and with a few rapid google searches youll see it barely performs below the 6970 and charges 100 dollars much less, and thats not counting the unlock for this card.

Runs nearly anything you throw at it so long as you aren't on a 30" panel. Utilized the shader only unlock and have it at 940 Mhz and operating stable. It is benching appropriate at (or above) 6970 outcomes. To get the ability to unlock you need the reference design. The cooling is pretty loud compared to the Sapphire 5770 VaporX. At 60% on that fan it was nonetheless quiet - 60% on here is like a hair dryer. Hunting forward to the price tag dropping nearer 赨 and adding a 2nd in Crossfire for close to 6990 overall performance.

Plays all my games with ease, Unlocks Clean and effortless (must unlock 1 card at a time). Am truly surprised with it, it is a good card and i would advise it to any one particular.Overclocking beast got mine to 940񳅏 It is massive if your the kind of person who cares about that, i definitely don't. If you like the Pc to be Quiet Do not Turn the fan past 50%, and at 100% sometimes i consider it will pull the cards proper out of the slots :D it is really a excellent card May possibly obtain a third and fourth right here in a handful of months.

Specs are properly identified. No complications installing, and overall performance has met expectations! none Others commented on fan noise, and yes, it can be rather loud when set manually. But it is far quieter than my previous 4870 setup. Value - rebate made it an outstanding worth.

Excellent card!Have had it for 2 weeks now with no troubles. Have played Metro 2033,stalker,aliens vs predator(new version)and other games all on highest settings with no troubles. This is my second HIS card. My other His card was the IceQ Turbo 5770 which I was also extremely pleased with. Doesn't come with a lot of extras. For the price it would be nice to get a game with card. Efficiency wise I have no complaints.

I am organizing on getting this card and employing the bios from ati found right here with all the shaders unlocked but with stock 6950 clock and memory speeds then i could overclock to 840mhz clock and 1240 memory just like HIS's turbo model of 6950 with exact same cooler. ought to go down without having a hitch unless i get an eh card. On the other hand understanding HIS i'm certain it'll be a gem.card is five dolla cheapa if you get it with the combo deal with the smithmicro checkit registry cleaner computer software so you might as effectively this tends to make it priced the same as the lackluster saphhire and meh MSI cards. lolz the dumbness i had to go through to get my credit card verified. totally my banks fault not newegg. In fact newegg's tech support was really tons much more valuable than my banks. can't wait any longer bleeeeh

Easy install, excellent image good quality and exceptional performance, operating BFBC2 @ 1920x1200 maxed out. Reference style indicates it's flashable...with some speedy investigation, you'll see the good results rate for flashing these HIS 6950 2gb cards is near 100%. Flashed my card with the HIS 'shader-only' unlock mod + did a modest overclock employing MSI Afterburner and now have unlocked card operating 840 core / 1325 mem on stock 1.1v It's huge...each and every bit of 11 inches. And weighs a ton also. The price for progress. Be positive to secure it with 2 slot screws in your situation. Initially AMD/ATI card in 6+ years. Flawless! I was concerned about driver problems coming from Nvidia. My worries were unwarranted. I have a uncomplicated 1 monitor setup and the Cat 11.1 WHQL drivers are fantastic (DON'T use the drivers on the included disk -- download latest WHQL appropriate from AMD's site). Acquire with confidence!

Strong, Built nicely .... I know they stated it was Large .... but i didn't feel it was that Large!.... that issue barley fit into my box. I was disappointed at the performance, I was expecting a lot more from the ƒGB - 256bit DDR5) Beast. But honestly I couldn’t tell the distinction from my 9800GT ƑGB- 256 DDR3). I tired to run Rift on Ultra setting and it couldn’t run it smoothly. I had to set it back down to the High setting the similar setting I run my 9800GT. Not impressed... On the other hand Newegg owns shipping! got my card superfast ... Newegg Rocks!

three monitors on one particular card, quite fast, quiet, great value First card was defective I purchased this as part of a new process construct. The initial card I received was defective. It would create artifacts for the duration of something that necessary 3D acceleration (games, video playback, Aero themes in Win7, etc.). Following running anything 3D for more than a handful of minutes, the driver would crash and cause a blue screen. RMA'd the initial card back to NewEgg. I've had the replacement for about a week and it's been rock solid. Thanks to NewEgg's fantastic consumer help!

this card screams when operating 2 of these in crossfire, i was having some strange artifacting with most games, bfbc2, crysis, crysis two, playing about with vsync and antialiasing settings inside the games seemed to assist, however, enabling vsync also makes the laggy mouse return in bc2 *sadface* running 1 card ran most games at 2Ǚs the speed of each cards, i locate that a small oddcrysis maxed (except AA only on at 2x) at 1920x1080 with two of these averaged at about 60 fps (woot)

Reference card. Does almost everything you want it to. I will suggest this card to everyone interested in a high finish graphics card. For the price tag point, after rebate you can get it close to the 1GB version or the GTX 560 and but get greater performance. None I can feel of Fans are loud above 50% speed. But if you maintain it stock, you will not need to have beyond 50%. If you plan to overclock, it would be wise to go watercooling or look for a quieter remedy. Although, truth be told, I personally have not observed a better air cooling setup than the stock one particular. It channels the hot air out of the case. So, imo, either you deal with the noise or go watercool.

Card is quite massive and heavy, fan can get loud over 50%(this I tested in ccc). I dont need to have an additional however :). Running my eyefinity games and desktop at 3840X1024 with 3 monitors

Awesome at running ArmA two and Operation Arrowhead as those games are beasts to run! I also do some modding for the game and 3D Modeling. I really like it and of course a major improvement over the HIS 3850 Turbo X I've had for more than 4years now! Weird concern from Windows 7 now exactly where upon boot I get a "scrolling" boot screen equivalent to Vista's boot (but without it saying Vista) as an alternative of the Win 7 flag animation. This is over HDMI and passing by way of my Yamaha RX-V467 to a Dell MP5100. But other then that I adore it. I did have to perform some surgery to the backside of my old Aluminum case in order to be in a position to plug in a either HDMI or DVI. So no biggie as teh case is old and I need to have a new 1. Had some port difficulties when I got the 3850 a even though back as well but not as poor. Be sure to take measurements just before acquiring the cards also, ITS Huge long wise, so make positive you have sufficient clearance. I measured, researched then bought and have no troubles! Also you will want reinstall your Catalyst and drivers if making use of a prior Radeon card also, but that's stating the apparent.

Upgraded from 2x Radeon HD3870 (xFire) and noticed a impressive distinction in performance. I unlocked, Flashed and enabled the რ% PowerTune and every little thing is humming along perfectly and quietly (MUCH quieter than the 3870s I used to have). Just like TimeOut's review, the card is extremely extended and I had to bust out the tools to take away my tough drive cage for it to fit ƕ difficult drives in cage plus 1 in 3.5" bay). I'm seeking for a new case to house this far better, but the way I rigged it for now works. I'm thinking about acquiring a second of this model for xFire as the benchmarks from guru3D and Tom's have it scaling well and I use a multi-monitor setup which is great for these cards.

Beautiful graphics. Plays games at highest excellent. I use an nvidia card for physics. Blu-ray excellent is amazing. There's no point in finding a card that charges twice as significantly for much less than even a ten% perf increase. It also runs smoothly and quietly air-cooled while overclocked to match 6970 specs. None so far. HAVE A CASE THAT CAN HOLD THIS PUPPY! It's enormous, and if you don't know whether or not your case can hold it, probabilities are it can't. KNOW your hardware! Obtain a complete-sized ATX case at least. I own a Corsair Obsidian 800D. ALSO, make positive your energy provide has the juice! I'm running on a 1Kw PSU, and even then I'm unsure if it'll be enough in the lengthy run!

I'd think about it's a actually excellent improvement more than a Radeon 3870 X2 (See other notes). With new setup Crisis (v1.two.1) at 1280x1024 with all High settings (w/ AA off) is consistently above 60 FPS. Old setup could achieve constant 60 FPS at 1024x768 with most settings at Medium or lower (w/ AA off).Only about .1" longer than a Radeon 3870 X2. At ten.6" lengthy it may possibly be a bit long for some instances, despite the fact that if you've ever had any of the earlier Radeon "X2" 񢦞 X2, 4870 X2) cards in your case then it ought to fit. Bought to replace a Radeon 3870 X2 that shorted out which took out PCI-E slot 1 on the motherboard with it. The processor (Phenom 9750), memory (DDR2 1066), and other cards had been okay. Given that there are no longer any viable AM2+ motherboard replacements available I had to upgrade to a complete new AM3 (Phenom II 955 BE/DDR3 1333) setup.Compatible with EK-FC6970 liquid cooling block.
