Out performs any adaptor I have tried and I have tried a few. Antenna does better than larger directional antennas. Magnet also came loose on mine but a little super glue did the trick. I'm picking up routers at least half a mile away direct line of sight. Just make sure you stick the antenna to a piece of metal large enough to make a good ground plane.

I recently built a desktop pc and due to it's proximity of my router,I thought regular g pci wireless adopter should be sufficent but it really had a poor reception. After careful research I decided to go with this adopter and boy i'm glad i did. Although it took me a while to figure it out how to configur to my router since it did not come with window 7 driver. But once I downloaded the driver from the hiro website it worked like a charm. It immediately pick up 12 of neighbors routers and my router displayed full bar. I have pre-n belkin router and it really is flying with N setting. I'm thinking about getting more for my laptops.

Overall a good product. I was able to upgrade my signal strength from only one bar to four. The only draw back I guess, was that the magnetic base came unglued. I just glued it back together and it works just fine.

I used this adapter on an asus netbook, and it gave at least 30% better reception. It picked up twice as many available networks compared to just using the built in wireless adapter.

I installed this product on an XP laptop and the software loaded easily. The antenna really increases the signal strength tremendously. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

installed it on an xp machine. very simple. Increased range incredibly. getting a great signal from neighbors house 3 doors down. I don't know how it works in Vista or Win 7 I will try later and find out. So far so good!

Software was no good for windows 7. Downloaded and installed drivers from their website, had to use win vista compatibility mode to get it to work. Seems to get a good strong signal, internet runs fast, no complaints about performance

I purchased this to add wireless on my sons new computer. I am amazed on how well it works and connected to the network. Blazing fast speed and easy to configure, only part that was a bother was I had to go online and get a Windows 7 64 bit driver for it. The install disk only has up to Windows XP. Best deal we got for a wireless that just plain works.

First I will say, Great product if you wish to add WiFi to a Desktop or a Laptop that does not have WiFi. However, I would not call this a Hi-Gain antenna. Installed onto my ThinkPad T400 and did not notice any difference, Good or Bad, from my built in wifi. But, for the price, its not a bad unit. it did out perform any PCMCIA ive tried, and cost less too - and out performed any USB device as well (the non-antenna ones anyway). But for me, when I am in a spot with just 2 bars, this didn't help Boost the signal in any way.

I got this to help boast the signal for my laptop. It helped but made little difference when I went to watch movies on Netflix. I ended up using a LAN wire that I found in someones trash walking around the neighborhood. Over the summer I live in a tent and I hope to test out its abilities there.

at first it did not worked, had to reinstall windows from scratch. with my laptop the signal was poor to nothing at all, whit this thing the signal is Excellent 5 bars all the time, out performs my D-link Extreme adapter, although the quality is not the best is not the worst either. buy with confidence!!!

Able to pick up consistent, usable signal from 100 feet away. Couldn't even see signal from stick type USB device.

I installed the Hiro H50193 on a desktop PC I built for my daughter. Wireless router is 1 story up and at the opposite side of the house. We get 5 bar wireless reception and blazing fast internet. We also saved about $45 from the cost of buying products available locally.

I got this to address a system that is near an electric wall heater strip that I suspect was interfering with at least 2 other cards I tried. On the previous cards could not get a sustained signal for more than seconds. I put in this card and ran the antenna up away from the electric heater and it has been running smooth as glass and at 145mbps or so speed. This has solved the wireless connectivity headache I've had with my daughter's computer. BTW using win 7 32bit professional and no issues with the drivers,etc...

plugged this in and installed the disc with no issues. I get good signal and 60mps vs the 10mps I was getting with my old g card on my laptop.

I just threw 30 bucks away on this antenna. The cord is very short so you are hanging out of the window to use it, and even then it is not so great. I couldn't get more than 44% out of it..So the last one I buy like it.

This is the best wireless adapter i have ever bought - especially for the price! Increased my netbook wireless reception dramatically, from 'low' to 'very good.' Pages, etc. are loading much faster. Definitely recommended!
