Cons:Stock cooler not sufficient.
Pros:Highly overclockableSandybridge is the leader of chipsets Comment:
Nothing but a positive experience with this processor. I have it paired to an ASUS P67 Pro motherboard overclocked to 4.4ghz. Other than temperature issues with the stock cooler I have zero complaints. The added cache and hyperthreading make this a great buy over the i5 2500k. |

Cons:-price
Pros:-speed-overclocks really easily-low heat Comment:
It's a little expensvie for an i7, I wished it was around the 250is but whatever, the performances are just amazing. I upgraded from a Q6700 lga775 and it's day and night compared to my old CPU. I would purchase anytime. Always been an intel fanboy for my gaming rigs and i'll always be ! Good job with those new sandy bridges cpu ! |

Cons:NOTHING!
Pros:Great work horse for VMs or gaming. Very easy to over clock with Asus P8P67 PRO REV 3.0. I got it up to 5.0, and it was stable. Highly recommended Comment:
I have it liquid cooled with Coolit Systems Eco CPU Water Cooling System, and keep it overclocked at 4.5, works amazing ! |

Fast, OC's effortlessly, stable. Running super stable at 4.2GHz, could probably go greater, have a H70 cooling it and it stays in the 30-40 C range. Known as me fat. It's right. |

Pros:*Very Fast*Unlocked - Push It To The Limit Comment:
Got this CPU with Asus Maximus IV Extreme as my gaming rig and I can overclock it to aprox. 4.5-5 gHz and that is pretty amazing with this CPU compare to the nine hundred dollars Intel CPU. Of course that one has 6 core, but the 2600k does that job. |

Wow... Got this processor mounted on a Sabertooth P67 (rev3) with Corsair 1600MHz CL8 DDR3 and got my turbo mode at 4.3GHz without effort. I just selected the default X.M.P. profile available in the BIOS and voilĂ . I know I could get it higher, but I don't need that much power right now, even for gaming. |

With the Second generation Core processors you get very good processor for your money, even with the high end processors. I bought this one right away instead of buying a lower end processor and planning to upgrade later. |

Just add it with P8p67 and two SSD in raid and I got a boot in 30 sec. Don't need over clocking, it give great performance just like that. I just add the h60 from corsair to stabilize the temp from it (42 for me). Anything you can add will be great full for the system. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:None. There is not a single bad thing I could say about this processor, it has been nothing short of amazing.
Pros: - fast like lightning - overclocks like a beast - cool at idle, load temps depend on how far you push it Comment:
Amazing processor. Idles nice and cool, and although it does heat up a bit under load, it's quite manageable. Overclocks like a beast, I was able to hit 5 GHz without a problem - although I do keep it at 4.2 GHz for every day usage, with a VCore of 1.22V (your mileage may vary depending on your particular processor). While it may not be your best bang for your buck (I would argue that the i5 2500K is), if you do a lot of video encoding or have a use for the hyper-threading, I guarantee that this is the best processor you can purchase for your needs right now. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:none
Pros:totally unlocked - extreme overclockingdoesn't generate much heat under normal conditions Comment:
I bought this to replace a destroyed 2500K (the system was somehow damaged). So I'll compare this to my 2500K:This chip overclocks slightly slower - max I've gotten was 4.9ghz with this 2600K chip, but 5.0ghz with the 2600K.Despite that, the 2600K FEELS faster in day to day use. That's because of the way these chips overclock. You're only overclocking the turboboost, so even though both obtain really fast settings there, in normal every day life the 2600K runs faster than the 2500K at idle.My personal suggestion is unless you're on a budget, go for the 2600K. It's not much more expensive, you get the same high end turboboost overclock, but every day windows speeds are faster, which is where it counts. Plus you get hyperthreading, meaning 8 processing heads, for those programs that take advantage of it. With the 2500K you're only left with the 4 physical cores.I'm so in love with this chip it's not even funny! |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:- Ivy Bridge just around the corner
Pros:- Performance- Price- OCing Comment:
Works great, takes everything I throw at it, chews it into tiny pieces and spits it out as processed bits 'n bytes. I like the ability to overclock and not for the horrendous costs of other processors. This combined with the P8Z6 Pro board enables the GPU switching. The iGPU on this thing is pretty decent too, better than the dedicated GPU I had in the previous computer. No complaints really, solid CPU. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:No issues whatsoever, it takes everything you can throw at it and doesn't complain. No errors, no freezing, nothing unusual to report.
Pros:A very fast processor which handles big workloads extremely well. Comment:
All in all, I think this is the best deal in a LONG time as far as Intel processors are concerned. In fact, this is the first time Intel has released an unlocked processor with such top-notch specs for this cheap. This thing is on par or better with some of the "Black Edition" stuff that was being released up until very recently. All in all, I am very satisfied... I paired it with 8 GB of dual channel 1600mhz RAM and a solid state hard drive also from Intel... and couldn't be happier with my new PCs performance! :) |

I'm actually surprised some people put price under cons. Really? $300 for an unlocked quad-core i7 w/hyperthreading that oc's over 4.5ghz, and some complain that's too much money? Amazing. You complainers do realize this type of cpu was a grand or more up until this came out don't you?
