I have taken it to 3.2g without any issue. Temp not too high under this setting. Will try to take it to higher clock speed. Even at stock speed, it is very fast.

This processor is really fast and since it's a socket LGA1366, there is always the possibility of upgrading to Gulftown...I am and can't wait.Currently at 4.4 on my Classified.

Upon arrival my 920 was promptly OC'd to 4GHz, I don't have a need for it to go faster. It overclocked without a hitch, and hit 4GHz at 1.35v. The stock cooler is inevitably useless, as all Intel stock coolers are, even at stock speed and voltages. If I had to decide which processor to buy again, I would go with one of the AMD offerings. Don't get me wrong, it's fast, but why pay a premium for "fastness" thats nearly equal to something cheaper.

This is a vary good cpu but the price is to high but what can you expect for one of the newest cpu out. This cpu has great speed and can play every game you can imagine. This cpu also runs vary hot with its stock fan would not recomend keaping the stock fan i am ordering mine right now before i oc but anyways i would but a gain and recomend to everyone.

I bought one of these to see the difference between it and my other i7 920 which is a c0/C1. This one didn't overclock any further than my C0, but needed significantly less voltage and was hotter. I ended up keeping the C0/C1 and selling the D0.

What can I say? This CPU is loaded with the newest tricks from Intel:Quadcore HT = 8 logical processorsTurboboost = one extra multiplier (not that it means much)QPI = much faster bus speed......I'd save you from all the boring details. If you have the money, then go for it.

much easier to overclock at a safer temp the the old C0 batch. The 920 is able to be OC very high compare to an other cpu out there. still isn't going to help with getting over the 4.2ghz any easlier.

Got this on sale , im very happy with the purchase, overclock very well , MOST of those processor will be able to hit the 4ghz with only 1.275 Vcore, witch is amaizing compare to the c0 well worth the extra 20$Otherwise can be push are 3.2 - 3.5 with stock cooling!Buy it , overclock it and Enjoy :D

This is the best processor for the price before you get to the ones that are overpriced. It overclocks much better than the C0 and I have it running at 4.2 with a good heatsink and rarely go over 50 degrees

Great cpu at a great price. Especially when combined with a good cooler as overclocking this chip is very easy and makes a huge difference. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This might not compete with the new i5s in power consumption or i7 860 at stock clocks , But this is still a monster of a chip and will overclock better then either one of those chips. If you going for pure performance, the D0 920 is still the best bang for buck on the marketNote : I'm at 4.35Ghz on air with 1.375vcore.

Just awesome, upgraded from amd 4400 X2 2.2Ghz, and yeah much better, way more multitasking ability. Knowing I can easily OC to 4Ghz is reassuring for the future, especially with 1600Mhz Corsair RAM.

great chip havnt had a chance to overclock it yetwaiting on a new power supply my old 500w can barely keep my i7 rig up lol, but for an extra $20 over the C0 this overclocks to 4GHz money while spentPICK THIS UP TODAY

I have this CPU on my EVGA X58 MICRO and at present am at a stable 4.2 GHZ a very good CPU for the money.

This processor is really fast and since it's a socket LGA1366, there is always the possibility of upgrading to a faster processor in a few years if the performance of the 920 isn't up par to those days performance.

Got this with the P6T-SE combo and i have not yet had a problem with it. This was my first Core i7 build and everything went well. Would buy again.

These chips overclock like hell (at least 3.5ghz). Though you need a good cooler and thats like extra + good motherboard. I didn't keep it long because of its price but looking to purchase it again with price drops. Currently, happy with unlocked 550. The best value processor i bought in my whole life.

Great proc, very fast , combined with an Asus P6T 6 gigs ocz 1866 it just tears through work. Overclocked on air to 3.9 ghz wow.

This is the best processor out there since it's a Corei7, very well priced and it is D0 stepping so you can easily overclock it!!! If you can afford it and you need a new processor, then the Corei7 920 D0 stepping is EXACTLY what you're looking for!!!!

its fast, hot, and one great big processing machine! i have not overclocked it yet, but with my freezone elite on the way, 4.x ghz will be no problem. for those not overclocking, the stock cooler works SURPRIZINGLY well, i mean REALLY a lot better than i expected. temps are reasonable while still giving a silent operation.

When i got this cpu i was amazed how fast the speeds are, but that wasn't enough for me, so i overclocked it to 4.2 GHz and NOW its a monster, its very to overclock this CPU unlike all the other quads. i upgraded from a q9550 to this and i definitely see a huge difference

Well this beats out my C0 big time. C0 got around 3.7ghz stable with this D0 im getting 4.45ghz.Must buy.

Upgraded from P4.. the difference is like worlds. Able to multitask like crazy now, Alt Tab all day. Sure it'd be nice to get the 975 Extreme, but most of us aren't ballinn.
