Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 -SLBEJ-
Cons:- None

Pros:- Overclocks extremely well- 4 Cores (8 Threads)- Very little voltage needed compared to C0
Comment:
I decided to go all out for an upgrade. I purchased teh eVGA X58 Classified Hydro motherboard and this CPU as well as 12GB of Corsair Dominator PC3 12800 RAM.I already owned a Gigabyte EX58-Extreme and a Core i7 920 C0 but did not like that my board would not run all sticks at 1600MHz+ no matter the voltage on the mem controller (stuck at 1333MHz). Also my Core i7 920 C0 needed 1.5v for stability at 4.2GHz.I'm now at 1.25v with my CPU at 4.4GHz (220x20 with turbo which bumps one core to 4.62GHz 220x21). System is watercooled with a beautiful Enzotech Luna CPU block, Swiftech MCR320, Black Ice GTS 240, EK Hydro Motherboard block and dual MCP655s. I've also got the 4870X2 in the loop while the 4870 1GB is aircooled with a silent cooler.Overall I am very impressed with the performance.

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 -SLBEJ-
Cons:Still too expensive.Heat is an issue when overclocking.

Pros:Finally, a guaranteed stepping! :)4 cores with HT.Overclocked to 4.2GHz on water with 1.25v.
Comment:
I run this CPU on a UD3R with 6GB of Corsair Dominator GT 1866. I only had to bump the vcore to 1.25 to reach 4.2GHz stable. Load temps average 60-65c. Cooling is a Heatkiller 3.0, PA120.3 and MCP655. If you run apps that can use multiple threads then this is the CPU for you. The speed is incredible! Yeah the price of i7's and X58 MB's are still high but that's the price you pay for cutting edge.

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 -SLBEJ-
Cons:Stock cooler

Pros:Performance for price
Comment:
It overclocks on default voltage to 3.9 GHz which will run easier on stock cooler. Very high performance blows phenom II out of the water for not much more than a 955. The stock cooler will not handle voltages other than default any higher in attempt to overclock more than 3.9 will result in overheating unless you have major ventilation. This is the best chip for the money.

Cons:hot,hot,hot!!!!!\\%%

Pros:powerful in all applications.great performer.run mine at 4.24ghz
Comment:
please yourself and buy a watercooling system or high end air cooling cause the one supply by intel is a crap even at default speed lol.

Cons:none yet

Pros:fast OverclockablePrice
Comment:
Changed from Q6600 with 4 gig of crucial ballistix tracer RAM to this processor with 6 Gig of Patriot viper 1600. The 920 easily overclocks to 3.2gig with asus P6T M/B. Why buy the more costly i7s.

D0 is amazingrunning at 3.8ghz with just 1.16 vcorereally easy oc Only thing bad about this is the heatI am hitting high 70s right now on full loadbut thats still acceptable for this cpu(I will probably switch to a noctua later to replace my zalman 9700)great cpu

Cons:little hot but with a nice hsf, it will be much better

Pros:Easily brought it up to 4.0 ghz
Comment:
I got this cpu with asus p6t se and it overclocked easily to 4ghz no problem. HT on or off, it was able to do it in a swift. Vcore is low as well at 1.24 with HT off and 1.28 with HT on.

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 -SLBEJ-
Cons:- Runs a little hot

Pros:- Overclocks like a beast
Comment:
The D0 stepping is for sure with the extra cash. You can overclock this thing past 4.00 GHz pretty easily. The only problem is that the i7s run hotter than the core 2 series, and intel still give you that crappy heatsink. so for those who want this for overclocking, be sure to buy an aftermarket cooler like the Dark Knight, or the TRUE

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 -SLBEJ-
Cons:As of June 2009, it doesnt seem like a worthwhile upgrade from the Core 2 line of products

Pros:Excellent processor if you're doing heavyweight tasks such as running several virtual machines.
Comment:
I upgraded to this CPU from a e2160 and for those of you that are familiar with its overclock potential that takes it to a quad-core's level this processor will be a disappointment. The fact is that you end up paying close to $600 after tax (June 2009) for a mobo, ram, processor and all costs add up. This isn't twice as fast as a E2160 overclocked unless you're going for very specialized applications. Even with the overclocking on this D0 stepping, getting the last 10-15 frames shouldnt cost so much. For day to day gaming, office work etc i didn't see any improvements. Bragging rights aside, id recommend sanity over superiority.

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 -SLBEJ-
Cons:none

Pros:Night and day difference compared to the CO version.
Comment:
This processor with the evga classified mobo are amazing together! The DO overclocks so much easier and farther than the CO it is mind-blowing. My CO could only get to 3.2 GHz stably on stock (auto) voltages and my DO can do 3.9 GHz without touching a thing other than QPI! Very happy I bought this instead of spending more on the 940.

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 -SLBEJ-
Cons:Costs a bit more.

Pros:Great overclocks compared to the C0 stepping.
Comment:
My C0 in my Rampage II Extreme only allowed a 3.8Ghz clock stable. The D0 is currently running 4.1Ghz 100% stable with an overnight Prime95 torture test. It did require a modest voltage increase to 1.31 vcore and 1.37 QPI to keep it stable. Can run a full benchmark suite at 1.29vcore but would not run a Prime95 torture at that voltage, and I demand a 100% stable machine.

Cons:No free shipping with this processor. Cost $50 more, but well worth it

Pros:Cooler and therefore quieter than the other 920. Also, if you are looking for the highest overclocking experience possilbe, this is the only option under $1000
Comment:
Much better evesion of the 920 c0. Only this is could ask of NCIX is to put free shipping on this processor. Oh and DON'T buy this in 1-2 months, because intel has stopped making Co chips and eventually NCIX will run outa stock of them. therefore the cheaper ones will also be d0.

Comment:
I went from a 920 C0 to this D0 version and my overclocks went up. I got this in my X58 Classified overclocked to 4.5GHz. My C0 version could only reach 4GHz with 1.47vcore the D0 can do 4GHz with only 1.29 vcore.4.7GHz here I come.
