As of this moment I am operating this chip at 4380 on air with 37c as high temp have overclocked to 100% but then temp get in to the 50c range . Now I am in Alaska exactly where I don't heat my workplace so ambient temps are 45 f but i don't think you can locate a much better worth in a 775period. not totally free Newegg Guidelines

great price tag, uncomplicated install, no problems only 1 IDE connector even even though the IDE interface is phasing out, I consider mainboard mfgs are moving it out as well swiftly. It's a great interface for optical drives (and upgrade rebuilds with fantastic hdds).

seemed to overclock nicely I purchased this to upgrade My HP desktop based on the info on HP's web site that a E6500 would perform on my motherboard, but it turns out only the E6*** series core 2 duos will work wouldn't evan post. I tried it on one more 775 board but it gave me errors in windows Why would they give it the exact same model quantity as a core 2 duo?

exceptional tiny cpu for internet surfing, watching video, even some gaming. runs cool, overclocks nicely, overall on of the superior "cheap" cpu's cpu fan created a rattling noise a handful of days immediately after install, i checked it absolutely nothing is loose, its just the fan itself. not loud just... annoying. will have to buy a replacement cooler, which somewhat negates the "cheap" aspect of this cpu overclocked to three.6 with no voltage alterations, i dunno it will in all probability go additional, but i hit the limit on my old 800mhz RAM

None however due to the fact it's not in a motherboard....=( When i got this DCP I was eager to place it into my Motherboard and saw there had been no pins under the DCP. I stated to myself WTH and am seeking at this MB: ASUS P5G41C-M LX LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard to see if I should by it or not but don't want to waste cash where the DCP won't fit. Would an individual tell me if it will for confident or not? Thanks you for everyone who could help me with this issue. Respectfully

Fantastic expense-efficiency results for a LGA 775 Mobo. not the newest and ideal/fastest, and so on. assuming it is mated with a competent mobo with a HD-capable IGP, this CPU can't be beat for a constructing a price-powerful HTPC, or for everyday computing wants.

Functions, its swift, I got it for a media center machine I'm creating, it dose the job with out breaking a sweat. Maybe the seriously cheep heat sink that came with it, I replaced it with a much better created intel heat sink I had from an old e5700 that I bougth a aftermarket heat sink for , at least the portion that rests on the chip is polished. I'm employing it on a Gigabyte Ga-G41M- combo Micro Atx board with 4 GB DDR3 1333 Ram and it all operates wonderful together.

Hit 5.9 windows knowledge rating making use of Win7 64bit, for HDD, Memory, and CPU on a GIGABYTE GA-P43T-ES3G mobo, and 4 gigs of DDR3 1600. Quite happy. Large bang for the buck. Low energy use, the complete tower employed 59 watts measured at the wall plug. 1 minute 20 seconds, cold start off to surfing. No cons to the cost and value. The stock cooler could be larger.

genuinely quickly on information transfers (maybe cuz im utilised to a 1.8ghz 3600 amd.. ok quit laughing!) runs cool and quite quiet as nicely. a wee bit pricey.. fan was tricky to mount and from time to time it abruptly gets loud and shaky. ill i have it do is run widespread apps and games.. this processor handles that job perfectly! in my opinion, for this kind of usage quad cores and such are pointleess and way as well high priced! Just stick to a mid-effective-spending budget processor if youre demands are similar to mine:)

I purchased this CPU for a low-cost spending budget make. Installed it in a โ bio star 775 micro atx motherboard with four GB of DDR2 1066 memory and a nvidia GT 240 GDDR5 graphics card. It runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit beautifully. I took the advice of one particular of the other reviewers and raised the fsb from 266 to 333 and Wha La, it runs at 3.6 GHz with no voltage raise or other bios modifications required. I'm not huge into overclocking any longer but when you can get a 25% to 30% efficiency enhance by simply raising the fsb, it just tends to make sense to do it. The stock cooler does OK even when overclocked, it idles at 33c and load temps are in the low 60c operating prime 95 torture test. Not seriously a con for this cpu but if your building a brand new method, you can get a inexpensive tri or quad core AMD CPU & mobo for just a tiny far more money. I already had the motherboard so I required to go with an Intel cpu and I'm not disappointed at all. It's a pretty excellent at multi-tasking, I can run a virus scan in the background though listening to music and surfing the web with no main slow downs. The expense of a 4 GB DDR2 memory kit is nevertheless hovering around 贄 which produced it the most expensive part in my create. It's challenging to create a decent spending budget system when you have to invest more than 100 bucks just for the memory!

This is the second of these processors that I have purchased. The very first I have owned for over 6 months, and has been operating the Living Room HTPC for that time without fail. There is a lot of overhead space for anything that I do. The blasted thing underclocks itself, which I locate annoying, but it nonetheless handles almost everything at 1.86Ghz (of the two.93Ghz it could use) without having ever bottle necking or slowing down. I do light gaming, workplace work, music and digital photo function to give you an notion of what I need to have it to do. I multi-process like crazy, operating programs for all of the above simultaneously. The CPU handles that without having a hiccup. The stock HSF is a lot quiet and dissipates the heat no dilemma. That also has a speed controller and the MOBO is running it at about 40% to preserve everything about 35 degrees. Also an effect of the EIST I suppose. That darn Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology (EIST). I recognize its value and appreciate the quieter fans and all. I just don't want my CPU to have self-esteem troubles ;-)Seriously although, no genuine cons. Run Prime95 occasionally to give the CPU a work out. It makes me really feel greater.I would acquire this a single a third time if I needed to.

The E6500 is 1 wonderful CPU, it's not a quad, but if your arranging to make a excellent running system that is extremely stable then right here you go. Want to OC this thing then the stock 2.93 GHz to 4.00 GHz is really simple. Great CPU. leave it stock and take pleasure in..... If it got any better it's going to be a runaway. Get a single

Affordable, effective, rapidly, cool, clocks extremely effectively. Even on cheap boards with no voltage control I'm yet to get a single that wont do at least 3.5*ghz. Nothing seriously, out dated socket these days but nevertheless a great chip. This is the main chip I use in constructing normal use desktop machines for clients, they are quick and don't price an arm and a leg. Wonderful price point chip when mixed with the proper components, and nonetheless rapid enough to play most games decently, in particular when clocked.

Does what it's supposed to do, and does it nicely. None. With the exception of Newegg shipping. Product arrived rapidly but under-packaged. Which is strictly a Newegg challenge, not a manufacturer issue. Newegg does not, and hasn't for very some time now, ship products well. This item is overpriced. Newegg has either failed to leverage it's position as a best retailer to bargain for reasonable prices, or is more than charging for this product. Coupled with poor shipping practices leaves a 5 star product at 3 stars.

I purchased this as a replacement for my HTPC. Installed and started working with no effort. I overclocked it right away to 3.1 GHz with no issue. It keeps WMC and itunes plugging along without a hiccup, can't ask for something much more. None to feel of. The stock HSF seems to be fairly great excellent. I have a Zalman that I choose so I haven't in fact tested the stock. I run the Zalman at half speed and the CPU under no circumstances gets more than 37 degrees.
