Intel Xeon E3110 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:....not quad core, stock HSF is a little weak.

Pros:Low voltage, low temps, good overclocker, fairly cheap.
Comment:
Just picked one up yesterday, got to 3.7 on stock settings (1.1v vcore, super low temps). Had to bump up the vcore a bit to get 3.8, and had to tweak lots of voltage settings to get it stable above that...Testing z 4050Mhz (450x9):450 FSB (quad rate 1800mhz)1.4v vcoreCPU FSB 1.4vmem 1:1 z 450mhz (DDR900) 4Gb 5-5-5-15 z 2.2vEVGA 780i SLI - had to raise most voltages to get stable above 3.9, going to get it stable and then see what voltages I can lower.Zalman CNPS9500Orthos stable for 30 min now as I write this.

Intel Xeon E3110 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:None

Pros:Fast, multiple CPU support, stable, efficient
Comment:
Amazing CPU, Intel is doing it again, but now with 45 nm technology. Based on the same architecture as the C2D, the Xenon allows you to use multiple CPUs on motherboards that support it. Great for building AI machines that crunch numbers like no other.

Intel Xeon E3110 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:none

Pros:Good bang for the buck. Easy overclocker.
Comment:
Using this on my P5K-se budget board I was able to get 3.6 ghz without touching voltage. Up to 4 ghz now (8x500) with 1.4 v. Not quite stable yet, probably my motherboard is holding me back.

Intel Xeon E3110 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:-Could be cheaper

Pros:-Fast-Overclocks great-Runs cool

All you probably care about is reading how this processor overclocks, so I'll give you results of my testing. The E3110 easily ran at 4 Ghz on air with a reasonable voltage.Here's the system I have it running on:Intel Xeon E3110 LGA775 3.0GHZ Wolfdale 1333FSB 6MBScythe Ninja Plus REV.BASUS P5E-VM HDMI mATX (With vdroop pencil mod)2x500GB WD SE16Onboard Video4GB of PC2-6400 Buffalo SelectAntec NSK3480 New Solution mATXAntec Earthwatts 380WASUS WL-138G-V2 PCI 802.11GLG G-H20L-S10 DVD+RWHere are the three speeds I tested it at.Stock Speed (all settings at auto)-CPU at idle2Ghz1.128 Vcore (from CPU-Z)73 watts (total system power usage measured at the wall outlet)Core #0 - 26C (from the Core Temp utility)Core #1 - 26C-CPU at load3 Ghz1.208 Vcore103 wattsCore #0 - 37CCore #1 - 42COverclocked to 3.6Ghz, 400x9, 1.200V (BIOS)-CPU at idle2.4 Ghz1.176 Vcore75 wattsCore #0 - 26CCore #1 - 26C-CPU at load3.6 Ghz1.184 Vcore123 wattsCore #0 - 38CCore #1 - 42COverclocked to 4.0Ghz, 444x9, 1.3375V (BIOS)-CPU at idle2.66 Ghz1.312 Vcore81 wattsCore #0 - 26CCore #1 - 26C-CPU at load4.00 Ghz1.320 Vcore150 wattsCore #0 - 51CCore #1 - 53C

Intel Xeon E3110 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:Stock heatsink has been downgraded compared to 65nm CPU stock coolers, very small and no copper core.

Pros:Basically an E8400Runs cool even OCdOverclocks great
Comment:
If your looking to for an E8400 you've found it, Xeon E3110 is for all intents and purposes an Core 2 Duo E8400 and will work on any motherboard that will work with an E8400. My P5K came with pretty dated BIOs but the CPU was still recognized and booted Windows, only a message telling you to update your BIOs. Using a Freezer 7 Pro I got mine overclocked to 4ghz with 1.3V actual voltage, load temped peaked at 52C (95C Tjunction max, OC thread here http://www.xbitlabs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14636 ) and clearly room for more if I wanted to use more voltage. Great CPU, too bad I had to buy mine from somewhere else though ncix couldn't get their hands on em before I guess. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-20-08 06:26 PM
