This thing is jittery and unstable at best. The low light feature is pretty good, but the clarity is awful. I guess it is worth the $20

I can sum it up in 3 letters P.O.S. Does not work right, will not get more then 2fps, will not focus very well, and won't take still photos.. Maybe I got a bad one, but even as cheap as it was, it was a HUGE waste of time. I had to install uninstall drivers manually 3 times every time I wanted to use it. Sometimes more then 3.

Plug and Play under XP and Linux. In zero light conditions you get a slightly grainy black and white image with a range of 6 to 8 feet. Not HD quality but good enough to check a dark basement server room for floods or raccoons.

I bought two of them, Installed first on a windows xp system. then purchased pc with vista then upgraded to windows 7 pro 32 bit, Install on it. modified two windows parameter and it works great. use it with skype to communicate with iraq. Second unit I purchase is on a laptop running windows 7 64 bit system. Worked first time after installing.

I got this because my old IR webcam broke. Ok, I broke it. I was trying to replace the LED's with actual IR LED's, yadda, yadda. This camera works fine, the recording program that came on disk was in plain English, but still difficult to figure out. The snapshot functions just fine, but the AVI recorder is buggy. The

Thought this would be a fun gadget to check out especially with the cheap price. Unfortunately, I didn't try it out immediately. When I finally tried to use it, it faled to work. Doesn't appear to power up. Microsoft error report says device does not function. Disappointed, but happy I only lost a little money.

This camera is actually better then my creative web cam. It works in a very low light and the quality is excellent.

I purchased three of these for the kids for Christmas to go along with their refurbished e-machines which I will also comment on elsewhere. I installed one of these plug and play cameras without any issue. The other two however were a little touchy and strange. After deleting and re-installing the driver for this camera in system devices section, the cameras finally started working, however the menu on the camera interface is in Chinese on two of the computers, and I cannot change it to English. The disk that accompanies this camera is supposed to be unnecessary because windows will install the driver on it's own, but I really had to delete and re-install that several times as well before it would work. I still don't know what I did to get it working, but I will say that it does have a pretty clear picture, especially in the dark and I guess for $29.99 I can't really complain.

This is use less. This product kept locking up my computer and I could not even get this to work but one time. I would not recomend this to anyone.

I purchased this webcam for the nightvision features, however, was hardly able to use it. The infrared lights only work about a foot away, and while the quality of the video is good, with no infrared lighting it is effectively useless. I plan on building a new infrared light source, so I will still get good use from the webcam. The software included was in an asian language, and very difficult to use for this reason. I've been unable to switch the language, and since it installed similarly on two different machines, the only conclusion I can draw is that the version included is an asian language version. In retrospect, it probably wasn't worth the money, however cheap it was. I probably should have just purchased a higher quality nightvision webcam.

I thought that this is a great webcam. The nightvision is great cause i can see what going on when im not in the best of lighting. The led lighting does make it look like you are in a blacklight but other than that its great for the people who need a good webcam.

Though the product was inexpensive, a week after installing and working with it it forgot how to work. Spend the extra money and get a reliable cam.

I wouldn't recomend this product to anyone. There is no way to turn the night vision feature off. The picture quality is good but the cameras built in lighting changes the color of things IE: I was wearing a black shirt and on camera it looked purple. My wife has blond hair and on camera it looked gray(although I now know what she will look like with gray hair). The one positive was that when I contacted this retailer to return the 2 I had bought, they e-maild me return postage. It was the easiest return I have ever done. Thank you. I will do business with you again.

small size is nice, picture is decent, built in mic even with the gain turned up did not pick up so well but for the price it works decent. still can not figure out how to turn on the night view function but that was more of a novelty anyway.

The 'enable color' and color adjustment boxes are grayed out leaving the picture in black and white. I sent an email to the manufacturer and got no response

If you just want a picture that other people can see, this is your product. If you want other people to be able to tell its you, keep looking and spend a bit more money.

quality is great. i will use this more than the one installed in notebook. lights dont come on but for $20 i can deal with it.

Easy to install. The picture quality is great and so is the sound. The manual focus is a little unhandy but once it's set you have a good web cam.

I bought this web cam for my nephew in California so we could communicate, and it works just as advertised. He thought the lights didn't work at first, since they don't "light up" in the daytime, but at night, in a dark room, they illuminate just fine. If I hadn't bought myself a HUE web cam earlier, I'd buy one of these for myself. Well worth the twenty bucks.

I have purchased three of these cameras within a couple weeks of each other and was very satisfied with the image clarity. For use with Yahoo I find this camera to be excellent. I am however not at all satisfied with the quality control from the vendor. The first camera's audio cable came apart shortly after purchase and one of the second batch appears to have quit completely. I will likely purchase more of these cameras as they are still worth the risk at $20

I bought this as a present for a friend of mine who lives a distance from me so that we could chat with each other. This camera works as advertised and yes; it works in the dark too. My friend is not very tech savvy and he managed to get it working on his Vista machine without any trouble. Great value for money.

The camera I found was excellant quality for the price with the low light option great. The only problem I had was loading the software. Doing what the instruction said the camera could not be found. Load the software first but keep the CD in the player. Plug in the camera and then it will install the software again. Worked great on both my laptop and desktop computers. I have over 30 yrs experiance in computer tech and would recommend this product.
