KINGWIN 15.74" SATA Data & Power combo cable
Comment:
Good braided cable sleeve to maintain the power wires organized and neat inside you computer case. Value is not poor for a combo data & power SATA cable set. The energy and data finish of the cables that plug into the back of the drive are MOLDED Together INTO A SINGLE HEADER. In other words, if you use this cable, you Need to use for each energy and information. You cannot use this cable for a single or the other. It is both, or nothing at all at all. This is best if you need to have each, but loses some versatility if down the road you want to re-use it in a program that only demands sata power or sata data. Maybe this is clearly spelled out in the item specs, but I don't recall reading it. I most likely would have bought one thing else if i would have understood the style of this cable set. As it stands, I am not employing this cable at all because there was already a sata energy cable to the back of the drive and didn't want to clutter the inside of my maching with unnecessary cables.

Appears quality produced. Was too short for my application. Cord just seems to quick period for any kind of case larger than a mini-atx. This was also quick to span from the top rated drive bay of a mid-tower, to the sata port at the bottom of an ATX motherboard.

Very good idea if it wasn't poorly created The energy connector had crooked and loose pins, and the pins themselves were inconsistently crimped to their diameters varied. This created it extremely hard to set up. 1 of the pins kept backing out of the plug as it was inserted and made only minimal contact I want I had purchased separate cables.

Bought this to replace the awkward and cumbersome cables that came with this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812156017The integrated cables function, but the sata cable for the adapter is a bit affordable and really quick. This cable combo tends to make for a sturdy replacement. None, seems to function wonderful. I had to zip tie the wires with each other at the sata end for my unique use to retain it sturdy.

By combining the power and the data connectors into a single large connector, you get a substantially a lot more sturdy SATA connection that does not fall off. Locking connectors are not required when these are used. These are also fantastic if your power provide lacks, or does not provide adequate SATA power plugs, as these attach to the a lot more frequent four-pin Mollex power plugs. Great for connecting SATA optical drives, offered the 15" SATA cables will reach your M/B SATA sockets. Be careful when handling them, the mesh covering the wires pulled loose from one of the heat shrink sleeves on a single of mine. Did not have an effect on the operation though. These do not give a Ʊ.three volt connection, if your drive demands that. I have nevertheless to see one particular that does.

Solves the problem of having two shed wires by creating both the data and energy together in the back of the drive, and each created to be versatile, but firm, with a great braided encasing about the energy cable. The connector for the 4-pin energy is a bit low-cost. It was hard to fasten and when I did fasten it, I was glad I double checked and identified that the prongs had pushed out the back. Right after pushing the pins back in and trying once again, I finally got anything to work, and the cable works just fine.

Fascinating cable, combining SATA Energy and Data lines into one head that universally fits SATA devices. Operates like a champ. Properly, the PSU line and the data line don't go to the same place, do they? I assume it's an exciting idea, but wants to be fleshed out a lot more in the execution

Excellent if you have small to no SATA energy cables The only place the mesh about the power cable.... I am not even employing these any longer, purchased new connectors for my power supply, so I am employing the SATA energy connectors adequately.. Stole the mesh off a single to bundle 3 of my SATA cables into one so it looks neater. I wont sell or return them though, these will come in handy... I got an OLD Computer that if I toss an SATA drive in, this will enable... Excellent acquire.

Most SFF instances and ITX box Power Supplies don't come with enough SATA energy connections. Normally only two, 1 for HDD and 1 for optical. It was specifically what I needed. Power cable is Extremely stiff, so routing in a small situation can be tricky. They are small far more durable than the ones that came with my MoBo. Fairly stable at the connection points. It does what it suppose to do. None. My older cables look to be flimsy because every now and then my OS woudn´t see my other drive mainly because of the flimsy connector I had with other SATA cables.
