It looked like a nice setup! But looks aren't every thing. The four pin power plugs male posts are junk, inexpensive, not securely fixed into housing. Tough to line up for connection, then when it does finally line up, at least 2 of the 4 pins pushed through the back of plug housing. Found this when it shorted out on case. Real nice! Pretty positive nothing great came from that! Unable to tell if any further damage carried out. I purchased 2 of these jems. and they just may have been the end of my mobo! Not a happy customer!

AffordablePower and Information connection in 1 effortless to connect cable. Affordable The power connector on the power supply side had a loose pin that didn't connect when I initial plugged it in. The pin pushed out the back side with out me noticing. The drive wouldn't power up, and upon closer inspection I figured out it wasn't connected suitable. Following powering down and then pushing the pin back in it recognized the drive and worked fine. Luckily it brought on no drive damage and has given that worked fine. It's not worth purchasing an additional 1 for me, but if you are going to acquire, devote a small bit much more for a much better produced cable.

The braid round the power is a nice additional. They're bundled it's more tidy and saves space which in turns makes a cooler box. Only if you don't pick the proper color.

The cables are on the short side but had been not a dilemma for me. The pins inside the white power connector are loose. I had a tough time receiving the four pins to line up since they pivot and do not remain evenly spaced. I had to fiddle with it 5 or 6 occasions to get it to go together. New Egg requirements to find a better low end 3GB/Sec Sata cable vendor.

They are SATA 3.0Gb connectors, what else could you ask for...? It's sad, but as it turns out I didn't will need the cables after all! Oh nicely, now I have extras!

For 1, the sleeve covering the cables is a really good touch. It's good to be able to have a clean, uncluttered case. The connectors are very solid, and the truth that the SATA and power cable are connected to every single other indicates that the connection is quite solid, and you do not have to worry about wiggling connections. The cables are plenty long enough to reach all through my mid-tower ATX case. None!

employed it every day and it hasn't stopped working. reaches my HDD. red is very good. could be far more much less flimsy. could be longer. could be green. does what you want it to do, cheaply. don't complain.

Powers your stuff....if If you can get it to go on appropriately. The connecting pins on the power side are so cheaply made that they are particularly thin and will in fact bend backwards and slide out of the plastic of the connector. I shorted a hard drive due to the fact of this, i didn't notice it had spread the metal inside the connector and touched one more wire. It fried the tough drive and might have messed up my PSU. 1 of the 3 i ordered works...but that is since the third one i took my extreme time hooking up, like babies care. Holding the wires instead of the connector although connecting it seemed to do the trick, and jiggle it about until it lastly goes on.Also, they come off genuinely quickly. I was attempting to install Win7 And my CDrom was outside my case (i borrowed a roomates) and just from hooking it up, it had slipped the energy connector lose and the HDD wasn't powering on anymore...so just preserve eye out for it. Incredibly affordable item.

None. Fried my brand new 250GB difficult drive, and then my old 80GB HD (which had all my information on it). Stay away from this item. It's a really minor component of the personal computer, but when it malfunctions, it can trigger a lot of harm.

Does what it is supposed to do. None. Got this for my SATA CD/DVD drive and I have had no problems so far. I have burned more than 50 DVDs and 20 CDs thus far, all have burned perfectly fine.

Purchased 3 of these to install new SATA DVD burners and a difficult drive into a SATA/IDE motherboard. Power connectors worked perfectly - 4 pin molex to SATA. No cons!

Looks good with the black covering, long enough for me so no troubles with distance. Working perfectly like its supposed to do cant believe of any It would be nice if the power and sata were separate but it doesnt matter to me

Locks into 2.5. Effortless to use. Compact. Does not have a lock on the motherboard end (-1 star) Make sure a secure connection at the 2.5 drive. The SATA connections on several of these smaller drives don't lock classic locking SATA cables. This delivers a secure connection.

Works as intended. The cables are combined into 1 and for a cheap price. None. The volume discount was weird. If I ordered three the shipping and volume pricing made it extremely reasonable mainly because the shipping was only charged once. Even so, any additional than that it charged further shipping per item.When the shipping expense additional than the item I didn't bother.I looked at Greatest Get, Radio Shack, and Walmart. I couldn't uncover a SATA cable, let alone a SATA and energy converter, for less than 5 times the price. Radio Shack didn't even carry a SATA cable except for one they ordered by accident and it was 3 times the price and I couldn't use it since I ended up needing a converter for the power.So, if you get an OEM drive, make certain you add this to your order or you might have to pay 5x the cost or wait a couple of much more days for one to come in the mail.

Nicely it's a combination of the information and power cable which is wonderful if your laptop or computer is additional than about two years old in which the power supply doesn't come with SATA option. none It truly suck if your pc does come with the SATA power choice and lack far more than two regular power cable for CD drive, trigger then you'll discover yourself cutting the cord in half to slit the power and data cable apart, lol, but it all function out.
