I'm using this cable to connect my 1TB Fantom Drive to the KINGWIN eSATA PCI Bracket (ESAC-02). Actually solid connection to the bracket and good connection to the drive. It operates great with my hardware and doesn't disconnect when I move the drive. None Truly stiff cable but I haven't identified an eSATA cable that isn't.Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, GeForce 8600GTS, 4GB RAM, Windows Vista Household Premium 32-bit, 2x320GB Internal SATA, 750GB Internal SATA, 160GB External USB, 1TB External eSATA

Surely a cable, package did not contain black plague. Also, as others have stated, this is really flexible for an eSATA, which is good. Tight fit, not actually a problem considering that that signifies it doesn't come out inadvertently. I was actually expecting something to go horribly wrong with the cable right after seeing negative evaluations for each eSATA on the market place. Nicely, it's about to finish a 45.5 gigabyte transfer, so I'd say it's operating pretty properly.

So what can you say a cable is a cable. The connectors stick out not flush like other individuals. Shipping is my only beef. I paid half as considerably for shipping as this item expense. Looked at items shipping totally free, they were twice as much. Image that.

Cheap Inexpensive. Won't remain connected inside my Western Digital MyBook, in reality, won't even make a connection unless you push it in with way as well a lot force for a delicate connector. Soon as you let go, connection is lost. Make confident the device you will need it for has a incredibly shallow connector.

What can I say? It functions! The cable feels sturdy enough, and fits relatively snugly into eSATA ports. The cord is a bit rigid. A unique note for individuals using this with a Western Digital My Book: this cable, when unmodified, does not reach far adequate into the eSATA port on the My Book to connect properly. You should really use an Exacto (or related) blade to trim off about 2-3 mm of the plastic at every finish, so that the eSATA jack can slide all the way into the port. Only then will the My Book connect appropriately.

It's a cable. It worked for me. It has therefore far failed to solve world hunger. No clips, and a tiny inflexible. I suppose that would be a difficulty if I wanted to move it about a lot whilst making use of the disk, but I don't. So I'm pleased.

Cheap, functions. Possibly, even at this price, Kingwin could do anything about the connectors; disconnect takes place at the slightest tap or just shifting the drives about for a tiny. Not something I'd recommend if you regularly unplug the drive.

Wonderful Cost!.. really the shipping fees ME much more than the product. Also, robust construction. plug molding keeps connector from inserting totally into my HD/ esata port I can get it to function, but if I brush against it (even if I can't see that I have physically disturbed the connectors), I lose connection. I have a Rosewill RCR-IM001B and WD Mybook ES 320. Worked for the other guy, but not for me. I'll try trimming the molding down some like one particular of the other reviewers. I would almost certainly invest a bit more to not have the frustration. Even although you could mail this factor with 2 stamps, the shipping was the identical as the Rosewill card reader that I ordered.. I guess it balances out for all the stuff I've gotten with free of charge 3-day just before.

Operates as instructed. For some reason on boot up it becomes my primary raid instead of my internal raid which messes up my linux grub boot. The only way I can fix that is turn all my raid drives off until the program boots

The cable is entirely useless. The cable do not stay in the e-sata brackets. I could not make it operate for even a single second. It just wont remain on the bracket ,no matter how cautiously u attach. I can\'t imagine how this factor is in the market place, this is a entirely useless piece of garbage.

Right after a minor trim job it performed ok. Had to trim about 3mm off both black plastic ends with an exacto knife so they would make better contact in particular with my Western Digital eSATA My Book. Not 100% confident with it at that. Could just order the SIIG cable soon. They will need to standardize these cables far better.Too significantly variation among brands from what I can tell.

I'm receiving quickly speeds. WAY quicker than USB two.... Brand new laptop operating windows 7 transferred 118 gb from a 320 gb 7200 rpm external hdd to my brand new 1 tb fantom drive (using this cable) in about 35-40 minutes. Please note I was also doing other things, including some pretty heavy browsing in firefox which I'm positive slowed items up a bit. Occasionally makes a whiny noise, but it's really seldom and hardly audible. If you haven't produced the switch from USB 2. to eSATA... I advocate you do so. It's significantly quicker, and is a noticeable improvement. An additional factor you can do, which I will be doing soon, is buy a solid state drive. They are nicely worth the added money and combined with eSATA and decent ram, your laptop or computer will haul. A quadcore would be good too, but let's not get too carried away ;)In addition, its a good factor to keep in the back of your mind that USB 3. is scheduled to come out correct around the corner in 2010 and it will be very quickly as nicely..

This is a high good quality cable on the order of Monster. Extremely flexible with high-good quality injection molded connector housings. Price does not correlate with top quality in this instance. wil ship USPS and likely arrive in tattered, semi-ripped bag. Nicely worth the price.

What can I say? It works. It's a little stiff. Some folks have had issues with the connector fitting into some eSata slots, but I didn't have any issues at all with my ports on my M2N32-SLI Deluxe or AcomData 1TB External HDD.

Inexpensive. Works OK if you attach to a device that can deal with a shallow connector. The end of the connector is thick and shallow and will not fit effectively in all devices. Did not function in an external eSata drive that I had bought. Thought the drive was bad until I discovered the the USB interface worked OK. Located a different cable and the drive worked no troubles. You can make the connector thinner and less shallow by taking removing an extra 1Ǟ" from the connectors. You must be able to use a utility knive. (I applied an track saw for model trains since that was what I found 1st).
